Good morning!

Glad to see you gals are having a good time in Wickham. Any pics?

Woke up at 4 a.m. with a headache. Threatened to turn into a migraine but I didn't want to get up so early and disturb everyone else so I laid there until 4:30 then got up to take something. I still have it but it's just barely nagging now. My sinuses are stuffed up and I'm pretty sure that is what woke me, besides the pain.

Not much news here, same ol' same ol'. Will see what the day brings.

Everyone take care,
Kathy

Good morning all! Another foggy start to the day but unlike yesterday it may burn off for some sun! I fought fog pockets on 80 yesterday both coming and going. Had a good time shopping and actually got some presents for the GD's at Vera Bradley. Not planned but couldn't resist! So check and check!! Now just have to get them wrapped! Now for the boys! Also managed to find a couple pairs of shoes at the Skeetchers store. But it's okay to bring in more shoes since I went through my shoees the other day and bagged up a bunch for donation! I don't wear heels and dress shoes anymore so dumb to keep them! I did keep a couple of pairs just in case but otherwise I've gone for comfort! And lunch was great!

Carolb and Donna, sounds like the gtg is off to a good start! Enjoy! And yes, wish I was there! Sounds like lots of the forum gals are on the move! Well, not much else to report here. Jim coming later today to work on Lola but that's about it for excitemnt here! Will be glad to get the surge etc box put on so hopefully won't have to worry about something happening to the electronics in her! Once was enough for me! Have a fun day and be safe.

Woke up to an email from my son, asking about my schedule because he's making travel plans. :D I'm hoping he'll meet me in Quartzite. Fingers crossed!

Morning from the damp, chilly and lttle foggy 45th. Taking a short break from cleaning house to pop in.

Carolb, glad you gals are enjoying GTG at Wickham. Hope CArol and Soos get to join you. Yes, you need pics for sure. Had a nice time visiting with Louise (Havingfunnow) over lunch yesterday. She's such a sweet lady and looking forward to her trip out west. Wished her safe and happy travels.

Jane, about winterizing. If you have all the water out of your plumbing system and anything out that can possibly freeze you are set to go and need do nothing else. I winterized mine this year rather than have dealer do it. Once it's winterized I take everything out except silverware, dishes, towels, bedding and the like. Everything else comes into the house. It's all wrapped up in it's cover. I don't worry about it. Last winter our average temp for month of Feb. was 3.2 degrees and we had some days of -35 wind chills and even -35 below temps. It was fine in the spring. So you know you aren't going to have those kind of temps. Other then running the generator like the others said. No more is needed. All these rigs are sitting on dealers lots in any kind of weather before we ever get them, new or used and other than winterizing them. Dealers don't do anything with them.

Not sure what else is on the agenda for today. Afternoon walk I know and probably work on log snowmen and I am making 3 more right now. Also making a little roof over to put them under outside so they kind of stay out of the weather per say. Just hope the darn squirrels leave them alone. I've got one that's been yanking the burlap off my one Alberta Spruce out front

Time to get back to work. Just need to van and dust and done. Then time for lunch. Have a nice safe day all.

Good Morning from Sunny Southern Illinois, It was 60 and sunny yesterday and supposed to be even warmer by the weekend although of course the rain will come. But it seemed so strange shopping in just a little cotton shirt yesterday, maybe I can blame the weather for buying myself two pairs of shoes. Very strange for me to find shoes that fit, much less two pair in one store. I've been selling some on eBay building up my shoe fund, so I'm good for a couple more pair.

Kathy did you send your mice south :?: :!: :!: I think you gave them my address. I asked DH to get traps and put them in the garage back in Sept. Well, he bought the traps but left him in his car...I am not happy with him as I found signs of the varmints in my pantry this morning. I can deal with a lot of things but mice eeek, give me a snake anytime if I had my 'druthers'.

I noticed the Narcissus are popping through the ground guess they think it is spring. Guess I need to get moving I have yoga class to teach and a vet appointment this afternoon for Andy.'s check-up. His cough is totally gone along with his appetite. I give him what ever he will eat and he is upping my creativity. No more boiled chicken, he wants it roasted now...and absolutely NO kibble.

Clean house, what's that. The cats pulled the curtain down in the bedroom again. I have a set of blinds to put up but need to clean a table and the junk under it to get to the window. I was making some progress until Harold came in. If he sees me doing something with a ladder he will want to help and I don't want him involved.

Yesterday I went to Lafayette and messed around all afternoon. The only thing I found was a shirt for Harold at Kohl's. I had lunch at Cracker Barrel and wandered around their store. They have some cute Christmas shirts but they are fleece and good grief, it's in the 70's here. I wanted to go by Walmart to see if they have any of the wreath storage containers. I wanted to see how big they are. I saw on Facebook where someone used one to put their electric cord in. If mine isn't rolled up right I have had it catch on the lock and it was hard to get it off to open the door. It was getting dark so came home. I'm not doing much Christmas shopping. I have given my boys so much this year that they don't need anything. I will get my son's girlfriend something and send my grandson a gift card. He is at an age that I don't have a clue what to buy him. My sister and her family are getting stuffed chickens and maybe crawfish pies from the specialty meat market near here. Everyone has so much stuff no need to add to it. There will be a fight over the chickens.

BJ, this weather has the plants mixed up. Yesterday I saw an Azalea bush blooming. My Ficus tree would probably like to go back outside but it's too hard to move. The wheels on the thing it was on locked up and won't turn. I had to wrestle it to get it in the old house.

Everyone have fun at the GTG's. I would so like to be at one.

"Wednesday in Wickham" sounds like a great book title, doesn't it?

I need to get some things done today as bad weather is coming back tomorrow. Hibernation time again!

Foggy, hazy, and almost sunny day here at Hensley Lake. There are very few COE campgrounds with electric and cell phone service here in California, so I have stopped here often. Last night I was the only person staying here, other than the volunteer camp hosts. The rangers patrol often, however, and there is a gate that gets locked at night, so I feel secure.

This area is northeast of Fresno, with the foothills of the mountains not too far east of here. It is a really hilly campground, which reminds me that I need to get a couple of chocks for my wheels. In this spot where I am right now, if my vehicle went forward, I would be down a hill! I did set my emergency brake and turned my front wheels towards the road last night, however. It's pretty even if there isn't much water in the lake right now. :(

Sue, maybe your squirrel is looking for nesting material for the winter.
