Good morning everyone...Looks like it is going to be a nice day here along the east coast of FL...

getting ready to heat out for my morning walk..waiting for it get a little lighter out ...taking dad to
a few places today...not doing much else...working on making some ornament / gift card holder for
my family ..I give everyone a gift card for Christmas and try to make them interesting making an ornament that they can
hang on the tree later.....a couple years ago
I started to make them a mini album page each year ...would hold the gift card then they could put pic of
that years Christmas and add to it each year with a new page...well it was noted that no one would do it
so I gave up that idea...well I off to walk...also did a blog post about the first day of our trip to the everglades

Good morning!
Well, our weather isn't 80 degrees but it's not bad for my part of the country, 40's and no snow anywhere in the forecast. They say we will get some rain Monday night/Tuesday morning then no more for the rest of the week.

Unfortunately for me I ventured out to Menard's yesterday-that was a mistake! The parking lot was absolutely packed and so was the store. All I wanted were 3 wreaths that we usually get to put on DH's and my Dad's gravesites. Well, at least I got 'em and now it's off my to do list. And I wondered why there didn't seem to be anyone on the streets driving, now I know-they were all at Menard's!!!

Had a nice Thanksgiving day with friends and family. Wish we could have stayed longer as they were starting to play a new card game, but with animals to feed and care for we couldn't stay. Dinner was excellent and with so many different things if you walked away hungry it was your own fault!

Just puttering around today, doing a bit of cleaning and maybe some laundry. That's all from here.
Everyone take care,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Goingto be a beautiful day here in West Central Upper Peninsula. Plenty of sunshine, with temps in mid 30's. Will be nice day to be out walking. Molly has really been enjoying her time here as she is free to run and roam, staying close to me of course. But she's exploring the edges of the woods and just loves it when we go through the spruce trail as the deer have been there so lots of tracts to sniff out. This I our next to last day here, so she won't be a happy dog when we have to start back for home on Monday. My last two used to come up with all kinds of delays to avoid getting in the truck when time c
ame to leave

Nothing much on the agenda today. Just outside in the sunshine, probably finish the last two log snowmen I am making right now, and puttering around. Went back to Marquette yesterday and was a lot of traffic out and about. Parking lots busy etc. But got a great buy on Sunflower seed for my birds and also some suet cakes. Picked up some YaxTrax, to put on bottom of boots so I can walk no matter what the road conditions other than glass ice. Right now the roads around the resort here are snow covered but plowed, which makes them a little slippery for walking. And Molly is bugging me to get out there and get going. Those of you who have dogs, know that when a dog starts bugging you for a walk or something, there's no letting go until you get moving. So guess I had better get dressed or I will have no peace around here  Have a nice day everybody.

Happy Saturday! I'm up, just not at 'em yet! The dogs are still in bed and it's a dreary day. Warmish now but supposed to get cooler and rainy later. I took advantage of the nice temps yesterday and got Lola covered. Figured it was time so took advantage of the 60 plus temps and finally no wind. So think I have her all buttoned up for the winter. I also managed to get the inside of the car cleaned the other day. So pretty much all the outside stuff is done. Still have leaves blowing around but nuts to it until spring! I had a nice day Thanksgiving with oldest son and family. Lots of good food and visiting. I sure enjoyed not having to cook a big meal! Brought home some leftovers but not so much that I'd be eating it for days and days!

Sue, sounds like you and Molly are having a good time. I laughed when you said how Molly wouldn't leave you alone until you do what she wants. I have that times two so I can certainly can relate! Kathleen, so glad to see you posting again. I've wondered how you were doing since you moved. Hope you continue having good days. Donna, saw your blog about your adventures with Carolb. Even if you didn't get to your destination in a timely manner! Carol definitely brings sunshine into our lives! Kathy, you are so much braver then I am. I figure I'll wait until the first part of the week to go anywhere near parking lots and stores! Need to make a run to Petco for dog food but they have enough to get them through to the middle of the week so will probably just wait it out! Let the "working" people have at it. The beauty of being retired! I did do some shopping yesterday, online. I finally ordered the PPL power protector that Melissa suggested. Even though the power situation is fixed I'm still uneasy so figured to just do it. I'll get ahold of Jim to come put it in for me once I get it. So grateful for a good mobile tech for Lola. He's a good guy to have around! Well, coffee is done so guess I should get started on my day. Laundry and need to put clean sheets on the bed. Guess that'll get the boys moving! They'll have to get off the bed! Have a good day and be safe on the roads.

Good morning everyone!

Sue, it sounds like Molly is having a ball - love reading your desciption of how she loves to run & explore, I have a friend who has the YaxTrax & loves them - allows her to get out & run even when snow or slush is on the ground.
Donna, sure sounds like you did go in circles with Carolb. Not sure I'd like to see alligators that close but it always fun roaming with one of our sista's & Carolb always brings sunshine whereever she goes.
Kathleen, gosh having your place already decked out for Christmas, you are far more ambitious than I am. I brought a little (2 feet) tree & ornaments with me out to CA - am now thinking that might be too small. Little Olivia would probably enjoy something a little bigger - maybe I should check out Michaels to see if thay have a good deal this weekend...

I picked up a fitbit yesterday (bought online & picked it up at Kohls - easy & quick). I'll give it a couple of weeks to see if I think it's motivating enough to keep.

Also went wedding dress shopping with Gaby & my daughter-in-law. Gaby already had her heart set on one that we saw a couple of weeks ago. We were able to get the price a little closer to what her dad was willing to pay - along with my offer to add to his limit sooooooo we bought it! She is one happy girl. I have to admit it is beautiful. There will be pics after the big day - not sure when that will take place as they have to wait for the approval for his fiance Visa - then they have 90 days to tie the knot. I know they may face challenges with the cultural differences, but I pray their love for each other will carry them through those times. I'm also glad I'm out here to get to know him better -he really is a nice kid & they care deeply about each other.

Well, I'd better get moving. Hope everyone stays safe & warm.

Good morning.
Not much going on; trying to decide if I want more fabric bad enough to go to Wal-Mart today. Need just enough to cover the table where my home made tomato cage Christmas is perched. (Will post some photos later in craft section).
Near disaster yesterday with Nicky. He was chasing a chipmunk across the yard when a hawk swooped down after the same chipmunk; they collided. The chipmunk got away but the encounter knocked the wind out of both Nicky and the hawk. Have never seen a hawk miss judge prey like that; he must have been really hungary.
Last night Nicky and I went to a park down town for the lighting of 250 trees that line the lagoon and canal. He was so good in spite of the crowds, even let lots of people including little kids pet him and didn't once try to jump up on anyone tho he did get one sucker away from a little one.
