Tday eve

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tday eve

Gmorning all :)

Guess I don't have to mention that it's Wednesday, since Tday eve is always on a Wed ;) For those of you preparing for guests/family, hope all is going well. For those alone, such as Beth, I understand the wonderful FREEDOM of doing whatever you want :D Sue, glad you made it safely to the UP--only 50 miles of "bad" weather is still quite a bit...

Having a great time in FL! Visiting & having dinners with Irmi & Steve everyday! Even though they've changed their eating habits--no more of her delicious German potato salad :(--she sure comes up with some great meals!! & Steve is a master chef on the grill! And after two very cool (cold!) nights, the warm up trend begins--55 deg this a.m. :)

Good deal on the TV situation Beth. It's always great to get good deals:) I'm shopping for a new phone today, since Verizon has finally come up with some packages that will suit my needs & not cost me more than $5/month that I'm paying now. My phone is "antique" in cyber world--3 1/2 years old!--& I can tell it's slower in responding to my commands!

Again, HAPPY THANKSGVING to all, have a great day, be safe always & good health to all 8-)

A very early Good Morning,

Sites are very close here and my new neighbors are in a pop-up tent trailer. He has a booming voice which he was using at 5a.m.. While they were setting up, they wanted music so turned on the truck radio and blasted it. I did yell about that so they turned it down. I'll look for another site this morning.

Chris picked me up yesterday afternoon for an outing. We went to the cemetery to take photos, but the personnel were busy so didn't have time to look up but 3 gravesites. None of them apparently have headstones! They made a copy of my list for when they have more time and will call me. We then went out to lunch. I am having Thanksgiving at Chris and Larry's.

Sue, glad you made it safely especially with those driving conditions! To those of you still working, I'm sure you will enjoy your extra time off! Carolb, I suspected that Irmi's cooking had changed, but I'm not surprised she found tasty dishes!!

Other than looking for another site, I'm not sure what is on the agenda today - brain isn't exactly in gear yet. Maybe I'll try to clean the truck out again - I got sidetracked with visiting neighbors the other day!

Have a wonderful day and stay safe!

Good morning Carol and Anita and all others,

Sunny bright morning here in IL today, supposed to get up to almost 50 deg. I think. I have taken advantage of this lull to finish putting away lawn things that didn't get done before it snowed. Actually, the snow helped move my plastic picnic table quite well, it just slid on down to the barn.

Trip to Wally World this morning for last minute items before TDay. Need some Cool Whip and a few other things for a recipe I'm making to take to my friends' house.

My last two walks are today then I'm off until Monday. Might do some cyber shopping, but need to keep an eye on my budget! I can get really carried away on some of those sites!

Everyone take care,
Kathy

Oh, Anita I know just what you mean by "booming voice". We used to go to breakfast and there was always this same couple there. He had one of those voices too and talked a lot. I'm not sure if he just intentionally talked too loud, or if he really didn't realize he was so distracting. We switched restaurants because of him.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

We are off soon to day 8 radiation for Mel. He has a scratchy throat but says its tolerable. He is also getting tired, as expected. Counting down the days. He plans to heat the ham I bought in the pellet grill smoker oven. I will make those Gratin potatoes I made before which are in the recipe file here thankfully because I could not remember where I found the recipe. :) Hoping traffic coming home today is not too nuts because I-80 east is the main route to the ski areas and Tahoe. Earlier we can get done and home the better but though his treatment goes quick, there is always something else to be done: Monday is see your oncologist day for our Dr and he had labs drawn, Tuesday the social worker wanted to meet us. And today it's the chatty dietician ( and yes her name is Cathy, haha).
Have a good day, safe travels for those,on the road.

Good morning all! I am off today to get a car wash and stop at Camping World for some Christmas shopping for my son. Then, I am going to stop at Michaels and Home Depot. So this is an errand running day. Got to do some deep cleaning vacuuming when I get back and get this place clean and in shape. My other project is to sand and repair the part of my cab running board that is rusting. Got all the stuff, but have been waiting for a dry place to do it.

All of you on the road, stay safe!

The cooking has begun. I made a cake this morning. Made a half batch of bacon and cheese dip to see if it is any good. I got the recipe off of Facebook. There are too many recipes that look good. I probably should cook a couple of more things for tomorrow because I have 6 things to bake and my oven is not that large. I need to run to the local store because they will probably close early.

Carolb, glad you get to spend Thanksgiving with Irmi and Steve. Irmi needs to tell us how to cook lite. All my recipes are fattening.

Anita, I know how annoying some neighbors can be. I camped one time with a couple and 6 kids in a pop up next door. At bed time all I would hear was him yelling at the kids to shut up and go to sleep. I don't know where they were all sleeping. During the day another couple would show up with 2 more kids. Glad you are getting to spend time with Chris and Larry. When we were over there in April Larry was still dealing with his knee surgery. I hope he is doing better.

It was sunny this morning but it has clouded up and looks like it might rain. It's still 75 so we are going to have a few days of warmer weather.

Everyone stay safe if you are on the road.

Peaches didn't get to play in snow. Nothing stayed. It was doing more snowing than raining while we walked, but again, nothing sticking. Oh well. I'm sure we'll get another chance. That said, it's CoLD outside lol High today of 40! Things start inching back up tomorrow. So I'll just continue hibernating. Making some type of soup for dinner.
