Early to rise Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Early to rise Saturday

Postby gingerK » Sat Nov 14, 2015 6:43 am

Good morning everyone!

I'm up bright and early today with my hunters so I thought I'd open MC.

Hope everyone's safe and doing well whether on the road or at home.

Not much on my agenda today, getting house cleaned and maybe a short errand to Target. Molly is out of her dog food that gets her to eat so need to go get some more. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion and since I'm the one paying for it, that is the only opinion that counts, right?!

Buddy is sitting here beside me "helping" me write this morning. So if I mistype, you will know it is with his assistance. Silly dog still thinks he's a tiny puppy even though he weighs around 100 lbs. He routinely tries to climb into my lap but all that fits is his head.

Well, time to head out and feed horses and rabbits.

Everyone take care,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Gmorning Kathy & all to follow:)

Nice to see you first again, Kathy--even though we're always happy to see you post even in the afternoons. Crikey, I noticed this a.m. that I had a PM, opened it, & it was from over a month ago! What's it been? A year or more since we stopped getting notices, & I still forget to look at that little line that says "User Control Panel (new msgs)"

Ok, Anita, you got that right--yesterday I did end up going in circles  In my excitement of feeling better, I was lax in keeping myself on track  Oh well, as OSharon says, not lost, just exploring :)

Laura, yucky hand surgery--seeing the cast was bad enough, but such a sensitive area to have stitches--ouch! Ava, I too echo Kathy's shock--the dang kid is a "visitor" to our country & you have to put up with that? ENJOY your weekend! :)

Okay, off to explore some more! Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Morning Kathy, Carol and all,

Kathy, glad you got your hunters up and out to their hunting spot. How is it that you are driving them. Can't one of them drive them all out?

Carolb, what are you finding yourself doing? Going north instead of south, or east instead of west  See another storm is set to hit TX early next week. Hope those of you there, miss the worst of the weather.

I for the most part have just been busy here doing odds and end and a few errands to town. Flooring place where I got my kitchen flooring loaned me a tub of glue so I could put a couple of patches where a china cabinets legs once stood. Sold it a few years ago. Neighbor also came over and finished the trim around y new kitchen door he installed. Also laid down a strip of vinyl where they old exterior door sill used to sit, so all done. Did a beautiful job. Now have to stain the whole works, but not in a hurry to do so. May even wait till spring as stain can smell up a house pretty good. Also need to spackle and paint a couple of spots on one wall where we removed a handrail and are not going to put it back up. Have two, don't need the one. Will do that when in mood.

So guess today will take the glue back to the store and run a couple of errands. Had snow on and off yesterday, mixed with rain, just covered the ground for a short bit and gone. Currently it's a mix again this morning, but moving out. Don't care as yard work is done and ready for winter. Y'all have a nice day out there and those of you on the road, enjoy your travels.

good morning ladies
told myself I was going to sleep in but, nope, woke up and here I am. 53 this morning but will warm up to the mid 70's,
will be a nice day to go to an rv show over in Paradise Valley. Always a safe thing to do when I can't buy but look and learn :D ;) Will get the kitchen cleaned up, maybe a load of laundry or I might save the laundry for tomorrow. Tomorrow is the
Ironman in Tempe and all the roads around here are blocked off and make it very hard to get out of the neighborhood.
Have everything I need to be stranded for a day, wine, snacks, a new movie....I'm set.
Carolb, hope you stay out of bad weather, and keep coming west my friend :D
I feel sad for France, also feel angry because the terrorist thing never stops, guess its a whole different war game.
Time for more coffee and break out the pumpkin bread for breakfast. Ya'll have a great day, stay warm.

Good morning all. Carolb, you made me laugh! But at least you are south of all this wind and yucky weather! This wind the last couple of days has been awful. Really howling! The good thing, if there is a good thing, is that the leaves out front of my house have blown on to another part of town! So that's less to rake! The leaves in back just blew around the backyard. At least the trees are finally bare! So first decent day I know what I'll be doing! My RV doctor came the other day and got Lola all fixed up, new converter box and heater thing for the frig. She's plugged into the new outlet and all systems are working. Yippee! Now I just have to get her covered for the winter. That I won't attempt until the winds die down! Donna, glad your medical reports were good and you are staying busy. Do something fun for yourself. Laura, hard to believe what you are going through with a "visitor". I agree with everyone else here, take all the sick time you need to this year. No wonder we're losing good teachers, no one should have to go through all of what you're going through. Sue, did I see you might come to PA in the spring? Hope we can meet up at some point! Something to look forward to to get through the winter! I finally pulled out the paint brush and roller and got my bedroom painted yesterday. Still have some trim work to do and the windows but it's finally getting there. Then on to the hallway. I've been putting this project off for awhile so finally decided the paint fairies weren't going to do it so got to it! New curtains and bedding are waiting to finish it off! The only bad thing is when I do a project like this is that I realize what else should be painted in the house! Never ending! Well, that's about all the excitement for here so i guess I'd better get my day going. Hope you all have a good day and travel safe if you are on the road.

Good Morning All, My grandson and his wife were in Paris couple of weeks ago...thank heavens they are not there today!
Clear, blue, sunny sky here this morning. I have an appointment on the 19th to talk with an orthopedic surgeon about my torn rotator cuff. It is really hurting me.
Laura, use up those "sick" days!!! Good for you.
Just more cleaning from the long camping trip in store for me today...nothing exciting.

Good morning all,

Laura - that bandage looks pretty impressive. Glad you get a few days off since you had this done. And hope you do take as much time off as you need in order to survive until you want to retire. I think your situation must have infuenced a dream I had last night. Dreamt that I went back into the office & of course the new director wanted to know when I'd be returning to KS. When I said I want to stay out here, he told me that wasn't an option. Hope it doesn't come to that since I can't support my house & being out here without my income, but it really took me back a bit. I need to think about what I really want & how I could manage it so I'm not caught off guard.

Carolb, going in circles is ok as long as you're warm & safe & getting better. Loved your comment about me being a misplaced 'SoCal' gal. I do love taking the baby & dog out in mid-Nov without having to bundle up. Can't wait until Jan & Feb!

Lyn, just let me know when you all will be getting together. I'd love to drive down & join you. (provided I'm not on baby duty that day) And hope they can fix your torn rotator cuff - doesn't sound like fun.

Still seeing talk about winterizing & covering rigs... Glad I don't have to worry about that this year.

So sad about the terror attacks in Paris. Thankfully Gaby's friend/beau just arrived back here last Thursday & he's already confirmed that his family & friends are ok. Glad flights to Paris were too expensive for her to go there over Christmas.

Well, I'd better get moving.
Take care,
Catherine

On the road in Texaa heading to Odessa Crater and then Carlsbad for the night.

Think I recruited a new member who is thinking of going full time!! She thinks I am a pioneer so you will all have to fill her in on the real old-timers!!

And Catherine, I keep having nightmares about going back to my old office job!! Terrible

A great drive today - now at Lake Conroe, Texas for 3 weeks. After 7 months of being 'on the go', I have much deep cleaning and organizing to do. I will probably be a hermit most of the time, but I am looking forward to seeing Chris.

SS ride yesterday was very nice tho a little strange. Went to a wildlife preserve near Caddo Lake. No one at the open visitor center so I just started driving their auto tour. Got a little spooked by being in the trees and no one around so never did make it to somewhere I could see anything.

Carolb, I didn't mean to jinx you! Along with spew alerts at times, I think we need a 'graphic photo' warning! Hope your hand heals quickly, Laura, and that you take all the time off you can.

Somewhat brain dead at this point so hope you are all having a great day!
