Pet boarders for military

I learned about the existence of this organization during some of the Veterans Day events here. Thought some of you might be interested or know someone who would keep pets when their owners are deployed.

What a great program! I guess you could say we have been foster parents to a pet of deployed parents. Back in Hawaii some friends of Mel's were being transferred to Alaska. It was impossible to take pets not knowing when they would actually have housing where they could have a dog and cat. We fostered their cat Misty for over six months until they got settled, then put her on a flight to Alaska amd the couple fostering the dog put him on the flight as well. So both were reunited with their family in their new home in Alaska. It's great to have a formal program military can rely on for this help.
