good morning ladies, been up for awhile myself, have one load of laundry done and in the dryer already, will get to the store in a little bit and buy my essentials for the week. Then I'm going out to visit some friends in Apache Junction, but of course I'll have to call first and see if their home. Hopefully they will be home, previous coworkers that retired a few years ago, would be nice to have a good sit down conversation after yesterdays day from hell. I'm at that point when I don't do well
with smart aleck kids, and this new one on my bus is driving us crazy. Even his teacher requested him to be removed from
her class and I want him off my bus. Tells me he's autistic and can't be held accountable for what he says or does. If he's
that smart to know, then he certainly can. Its extremely hard these days for me to just bite my tongue and go with the flow.
He's mean to the other kids and I told him he still had to be respectful to everybody on the bus. Boss said we had to stop rushing him to get to the bus, (he makes us late) but if he's not on the bus by 2:26, we get to leave him. Can't wait for that
day, we will, by dept procedure, be asked to go back but I can say "ok, I'll be there at 4:30 when I'm done taking the rest of the kids home" Thats acceptable, but I can no longer tell him to hurry to the bus or come out early. I can however say,
when you get dismissed from class, come directly to the bus. We have to be careful how we word stuff, just like we
can't say "shut up" but instead can say "please be quiet, or quiet please" He's yelling at the other kids to shut up, and these
other kids are blind, deaf, cerebal palsy, wheelchair kids that have uncontrollable outbursts of noisey babble and the
only reason they go to school is to the give the parents free babysitting. This is high school in special ed. Oh wait, we don't call it special ed anymore, its called special needs. All I can say at this point right now....ITS GOING TO BE A VERY LONG YEAR!
Well, I've vented and getting on with my day. Ya'll have a good one, hope your cozy and comfy and dry.
