I'm sure its not too much to say, I loved that cowboy convict too. He is adorable, and already with a mind of his own, wanting to wear only his cowboy hat, reminded me of my son, who is now 53 and usually only wears his cowboy hat in competition now or dressed for business meetings. You have so many years of fun left with that little fella and I love it when you post pictures of him and mention his likes and dislikes, takes me back. Thank you !!

Just love that smiling little face,

CArol :)

I think Bronc's demanding to wear his cowboy hat made that costume uniquely his own. And so adorable.

My oldest liked boots and hats. Somewhere there is a picture of him in a diaper wearing his dad's boots and cowboy hat. My grandmother had a neighbor named Mr. Green that wore rubber boots summer and winter. Scott got called Mr. Green a lot when he was growing up.

I can tell I am in the South: 1) saw an armadillo along the roadside, and 2) already stepped on a fire ant nest and got several painful bites on left foot! Those little guys are fast and apparently do not like company.

Took a Benadryl and put on some of my prescription bug bite stuff. I will be here in Poverty Point Reservoir for a couple of days and then headed into Texas. On my way to Texas on Friday, I will stop and get something for fire ant nests. Luckily, rest of site seems OK, so moved forward a few feet so I do not have to stand on nest to hook stuff up. Checked shoes and feet before I got back inside to make sure I did not have any hitchhikers!

Any recommendations from you Southern ladies for ant stuff to put down next time? I already am a traveling pest prevention service. I have mouse traps, ant traps for inside, flying insect spray, traps for fruit flies, and Deep Woods Off, but of course none of those helps against these tiny nasties. I do have some Borax I have been carrying around, but can't remember what I am supposed to do with it.

By the way, this is a new and very nice campground and even has some full hookup sites. Am looking forward to exploring on my bike tomorrow.

Judy, the poison I use the most is Orthene Fire Ant Killer by Ortho. It's a white powder that works best when ants are active so best to use when the weather is warm. There are bait type poisons but unless you are somewhere for a while they wouldn't do you much good. Walmart usually has the Orthene. We usually don't have a problem with the fire ants coming in the house. The little black ants are the ones that usually get in your rig.

FYI....I DID NOT DEFROCK AN MIDGET INMATE! Although the fabric is the real deal....not for prison garb but from uniforms we make for county jails. We do have a little person (see I can be politically correct) in the prison....we're on a first name bases because I had to draft patterns for all of his clothes so they would meet the inmate dress code.

BTW...I'm sure Bronc would lend you his costume if you would like to borrow it next year....if it's not too long for you!
