There's a point to both sides here. You only referred her because you needed the job covered. So, yes, she covered for you and, yes, you referred her. There could be a case made for both sides thinking the other should say thanks. Just saying.

Guess I'm with Judi: goes both ways. And, if you thank her first, she'll remember your graciousness and be more willing to help you out in future,. That's my $0.02

Can never argue with that.

Just reporting in to relate that the rig has been winterized for the time being. I called Thor and nice Mr Tim directed me to the low point drains. I sure do appreciate that Thor help line. Easy to find once you know where they are and remove the dog kennels that sit on that side of the rig and the panel that needs to be lifted. Makes me really appreciate those Jayco models a couple of us saw sitting on the lot in Elkhart that had "low point drain" in small print on the outside of the rig along the bottom where you could find and access the drains from the outside. So simple. :) I guess the chore isn't all that challenging since I only have to drain them once or twice a year. Just depends upon what the weather is like when I leave Florida in the spring. :o

The man in the recliner will use the rig to go to his Pottery weekend that first full weekend in November and then it will head in to the dealer to get some work done and maintance checks. I will head in to work on the 4th and work for a couple of weeks to earn the money to pay the bill and pick up some tanks of gas to get me to Florida.

I would tell stories about how hard I am working around the house cleaning, etc., but those that know me would also know it is mostly a lie. I groom on some dogs, hang out with the dogs, go to a dog show with some dogs and read some books and make and keep a list of dog doctor appointments and people doctor appointments. Puppy gets shots. Blondie gets what teeth she has left cleaned and Audrey gets her hips x-rayed and sent in to OFA for her clearances . And the old cat still likes to sit in laps and purr...... Life is good.

I agree, Tina about finding the low point drains and other little necessities. While I really like Thor, think they might go out of their way to make some things unnecessarily difficult to find, then reach once you discover the hiding spots.
I would believe you work hard on a little house cleaning between dog events.
Hope to see you in Fl after the first of year.

Tina, after reading your "Life is good" comment, I thought you might appreciate the hitch cover I have on my RV.

Sandi, I like to remember the Mantra.......it eliminates the need to repeat the negatives that we often bump into through the course of everyday and are in everyones life and focus instead on the things that make me smile. We often find just what we are looking for.....I try to keep my eyes pealed for the wonderous. :o :)

I went to the dentist today and then messed around Lafayette all afternoon. I decided to go to Crawfish Town for lunch. I blame that on Birdie and Colleen and the pictures of their food. My gums are sore from all the digging around and the water pick thing they use.

I was going to get my car inspected and go to Walmart but it was after 5:00 when I got back to Abbeville. I ran out of steam and decided to come home. If it doesn't rain I'll go get my car inspected tomorrow.

I can't say that I get much done around here either. I have to clean the cat boxes everyday and try to keep Frosty and Posse from fighting. They must have been at it today because they cleaned my desk for me. I don't know what I'm going to do with those 2. Frosty got out yesterday and in 2 minutes he was about to start a fight with one of the outside cats. If it wouldn't be a vet bill I would let them teach him some manners.

Tina.....my Jayco 5vr has that nice little sign about the low point drains but they aren't located on the outside where you would think. You have to go into the storage area and remove screws from a little 5 inch panel located on the inside wall of the storage area. And then you have to pull up on the handles instead of just turning them. It took a very knowledgeable salesman who actually owns a Jayco himself to show me that. He said it took him quite a while to figure it out too. Once you know where they are and the trick to opening them (feels like you are going to break them), the rest is easy peasy.

I'm laughing about cleaning. Yesterday I even had my vacuum out and was getting dagger eyes from Peaches when, pop, power went out. I waited about 10 minutes then put the vacuum cleaner away and made Peaches happy with a long walk. Power was out close to two hours. Never got the vacuum back out. I did sweep though.

I had to ask where my water tank drain was. I've not used it, but at least know where it is. Inconvenient, but probably not too difficult. I'd have to re-teach myself winterizing and de-winterizing. Only did each once, 10 years ago now.

I'm sitting here in Ogden Utah trying to decide what to do...sit the winter out here....store the trailer and move in with daughter...find a different tow truck... or store trailer and rent something in Quartzsite ...or figure out some way of having the 5th wheel taken down to Q...and how to sell the truck with no drive or over drive...but good tires they aren't even a year old
wish there was someone here to say this is what we are doing...oh well guess once I have some more information the easier it will be to decide...so tomorrow
going to go to a couple of rv dealers and see if they can give me some idea of people who tow...maybe check out a couple of trucks make a couple of calls
that kind of stuff...
