Soup day Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Soup day Tuesday

Postby gingerK » Tue Oct 27, 2015 7:03 am

Good morning!
Soup's on this morning; making a big pot of soup with the leftover ham. It's already on the stove simmering.

Supposed to rain here today, hopefully I'll get my walkies done before it gets too wet. Not fun trying to get pups to go potty in the rain.

Will clean up my "new" car today. They didn't do a very good job of it at the dealership. I need to order some Weathertec mats for it and dang! they aren't cheap! Also need to vacuum out the MH and start the frig in anticipation of our last campout.

Not much else here on the agenda for today. Everyone take care.

Good Morning, Kathy and Everyone, Rainy here as predicted, supposed to last through Wednesday. Yesterday was kind of a goof off day after finishing the wash down of the outside of the house. I do that, work my butt off one day and nothing the next :D Especially if I have pushed myself as I did Sunday evening, knowing this rain was coming in and our temps sure took a dive as predicted also. So this morning not sure whats on the agenda, but think its collecting more things from in here to haul off, I have thought of quite a list of things that are not needed. Plus have a lot of dust bunnies everywhere, time they left too. :o Thursday will haul the stuff off and need to make a run to grocery and bank, then come home plug rv into electric and put slide out and do a good cleaning in there. I've managed to get the outside compartments cleaned out, now the inside and start loading it up for winter in Fl.

I have plans, now to just do them. :D No set day to leave here yet though. I've tried to keep up with all the happenings on here, but afraid I have not done to good of a job. Once you fall behind, its so hard to catch up. Hope those who are ill are on the mend and those on the road Stay Safe, this weather is not good traveling weather in many places. Those stuck at home take some pleasure in something you enjoy doing today,

Wishing you all a really nice day, in spite of weather conditions,
Enjoy
CArol :)

Good morning all. Well, the electrician has been here and gone. Melissad, thanks again for the info. I printed the one page on installing a 30 amp for RV's and showed it to him. He took it out with him when he rewired the outlet. Tested it and it shows 120 so think we're good to go. I'm definately looking at the EMS system too! Guess it's after the fact but sure don't want to go through something like this again!

Kathy, soup sounds good! It's getting to that time of year where soup and crockpot meals just seem to be the thing to have. Makes the house smell so good! I laughed when you said about getting dogs out in the rain! My older dog hates to get wet. The crazy thing is he's loves to go out in the snow! Go figure, he gets plenty wet then too!

Well, since I'm up and dressed guess I'll go get my running done so maybe if the rain holds off I can get out in the yard again. I managed to finally get lawn chairs and stuff put away and some racking done yesterday but the leaves just keep falling! I can't seem to stay ahead of them! Have a good day and if you're on the road, be safe!

Gmorning all:)

Good to see you back CArol...Martha, glad you didn't get flooded out. Sarah, smart decision to stay put rather than to run head first into the approaching storm. Rain from Patricia arrives tomorrow, but today another perfect fall day. Yesterday was my last day of yard work, I think, but there still are leaves on my tree, so maybe a final raking before I take off.

Leaving here in about 9-10 days. Think I'll start using HarBor for all my driving needs to make sure all systems are good to go. Can't really say he's road-ready while he's just sitting in the driveway plugged into electric;)

Not much else going on here, so will just say hello. Hope y'all are doing well & have a great day!

Good Morning, Still looks like rain but so far nothing but a few sprinkles. It has been a long time since we've had a good soaking rain. Sharon so sorry for all the electrical problems! That was a very good web site Melissa sent, I copied it in case I need it, also thought it might be good to take to the local RV repair place so they could give out to people who might ask them about installing an outlet at home.
Kathy you are sure organized I can't think beyond breakfast at this hour of the day much less make something for later in the day, CArol washing down the outside of your house with a brush!! You need to get on the road so you can rest. I feel lazy when I read of everyone's busy day, I do manage to always put between 6,000-8,000 steps on my fitbit zip between cleaning around the house and walking the dogs. The fenced back yard is just sooo boring they think they need lots of walks. Carolb I hope HarBors systems are a go and you can get on the road. How are all your little ones doing?

Good Morning,

Little bit of sun didn't last long yesterday and still raining! Supposedly to stop for awhile before I hit the road today - we'll see. Dreary to say the least.

O'Sharon, glad you got the outlet fixed and sure recommend the EMS. MelissaD is certainly our go-to-gal for things on here!

CArol, glad you are taking it easy today. I'm planning to be at Wendy's the 4th - you coming? :)

Kathy, I never thought of so many people needing their dogs walked by someone else! Guess that's a good thing for you tho! :)

Carolb, good idea to drive Harbor around! I seem to come up with issues at the last minute - mainly because I don't check until hooked up and ready to roll!

Have a good day all!

Good Morning
I am so glad I'm not trying to drive in this weather today; staying put was a good decision even if I had to change sites. New site very nice. It is level and on top of a little hill near the point where lake curves toward dam. Have nice view of one part of lake from doorway (well it would be if door open) and even better view of different part of lake from front window. Patio is much larger that original site too. Shame weather too yucky to take better advantage of it all. I am enjoying the front window view today.
Appears the best we can hope for in terms of temps over next 48 hours is mid 40s and with the wind and rain that is cold. Got my long johns on and space heater is humming along so not too bad. Good thing I got a few extra steps in yesterday; don't think Nicky and I will get very many steps today.

I have today and tomorrow off. No plans. I think I've decided to be pretty much a bum this winter. I like where I am, so other than a few excursions, mainly to gtg with people, I may just be very lazy this winter! Lazy includes lots of walking. Peaches I both require that. Tomorrow has a 50 percent chance of rain. We sure could use it. Weather stations, though, are showing loss of rain this winter here from El Nino. Time will tell.

Sarah, and those riding out bad weather, smart decision.

I like the idea of soup. I think I'm going to go start some cooking.

I'm sitting nice and cozy inside in a COE campground at Mark Twain Lake, west of St. Louis and south of Hannibal, MO. Nice site with full hookups for the senior rate of $12, so am going to thoroughly rinse my black tank tomorrow morning--hopefully it will not be raining. Raining now, and it is supposed to rain all day today, but to end early tomorrow morning, and then I will drive south along the Mississippi. One stop more in Missouri, and then three nights in Kentucky before getting to West Memphis, where I will stay at Tom Sawyer on the river.

Really, I am looking to get farther south where it is a little warmer. Days have been pretty good, but mornings and late afternoon getting chilly and nights really, really cold!!

Got just a tiny bit of slow internet today, but have lots of stuff to get done that does not require internet, like reading! Nice to have a day without pressure to meet grading deadlines.
