G'morning all

Belated happy bday to Bill--yes, was strange to have a west-coaster open MC yesterday Beth, Diana who? Is the our mtngal? Liz, I can't picture that many people "invading" your little village! Hope you & Donna had a great visit.

Bro & I cleaned gutters yesterday. Next "project" is to make our fig-filled Italian Cmas cookies, someday next week. Last project is to rig a temporary fix to the cellar "bilco" door so it doesn't leak over the winter. Then I'm free to move about the country! Crazy weather patterns this Fall, so will just have to wait til I start my engine to decide which direction I go. But, OSharon, you're still on for my first stop:)

Need to get to the grocery store sometime today--get my cooking oil for beignets:) Oh, do I LOVE pie crust too! ...Freeze expected tonight, so will cover my perennials. They're looking good:) Looks like another 4-5 days of warmer weather after tonight, so more time for them to establish their roots.

Wow, it's starting to hit me--I'll be on the road soon! BTW Anita, I got chills reading about your un-hitching experience!

Frost here this morning. Heaviest we have had so far this fall. But going to be a nice day though. Think I will take it off and go play today. Not sure as yet whether or not to go visit friends or take a ride over to Orchard Farm Market. Fall color is just now peaking along the lake shore areas of MI's Lower Peninsula. Cider and Carmel apple doesn't sound bad

Carolb, I can feel the excitement in your getting ready to leave before long and start your trek south. People to see, places to go etc. Gonna be fun. As to the weather, who knows. Although I can feel the change in the season as we head toward November. Mom Nature is preparing for winter slow but sure.

Got the leaves at a house I watch near here done yesterday. Also my frames for my shrub covers put over the shrubs. Will cover them later. My nice neighbor was out vacuuming leaves yesterday and did mine too Course another batch out there from last night. But so nice not to have any out there yesterday afternoon. Molly and I enjoyed our walk yesterday too as it was a lovely day. Don't have many fall chores left here now, will wrap them up later this weekend. Then can just clean up the leaves as they come down. Two trees almost done, 2 yet to start dropping them. Made reservations to head north for Thanksgiving yesterday too.

So, am going to move along here and get dressed, decide which way I am going and head out. You all have a nice day today

Will be heading out in a short while myself to puck up horse bedding. Also need to stop at a store & check to see if they have an item I've been looking for.
Had a small emergency with my friend's dog yesterday. We ended up at the vet but luckily it wasn't anything major. Pain med & rest & he be bouncing again!

Good Morning, Ladies from Edmond, OK,

I have a spot at Arcadia Lake with the lake right out my window. Wish I could stay longer. Rain yesterday and I spent the day doing what I wanted - almost nothing! Up this morning to take the SS for service and wiring repair on the trailer at dealer in Oklahoma City. When I asked for a referral for someone to take care of trailer wiring, they said they have someone to do it! This has nothing to do with my trailer coming off the other day. I hope that will be the end of issues for awhile.

Next I'll head toward Helena, AL (near Birmingham). I prefer back roads but haven't decided yet.

Time to get going.

You ladies with outdoor chores make me so happy I'm not doing that anymore. I don't envy you the cold weather coming.

Good morning all. A cool morning here again today. Leaves really coming down and I can't keep up with them! I took a trailer load to the "project" yesterday and will start filling the trailer again! Jim came yesterday to winterize Lola and replaced the 3 vents on the roof. All was going great and he installed the microwave and as soon as he turned it on it went poof. So started digging to see what the peoblem was. Turned out that the new 30 amp outlet was wired wrong. Apparently the electrican wired it 2 phase instead of 1 phase or something. So far it looks like it fried the inverter/converter box, not sure yet about the frig. Obviously (now) that's why the propane alarm was going off, no juice from the batteries. So we have a charger on the batteries now and I'll check the frig later. Luckily the ac unit hadn't been turned on so it seems okay. We talked to the electrician and he said he'd come out last night to fix but I said no, just wait. Frankly, I didn't need anymore drama last night. He is good for it all so I'm okay there but still upsetting. Jim even called me last night to assure me it was all going to be okay. So anyway, the good thing is she's ready for winter! Once all this other stuff is taken care of I'll get her covered. Carolb, looking forward to your visit! Pups too! Time to get off to doctor appointment. Have a good day and have a good week end too!

Good morning everyone... made it up to Macintosh yesterday about noon Liz took me to lunch... a great chicken salad sandwich and soup... then we toured a couple of little towns ....old towns with a lot of history I could spend a lot of time here digging around in all the history... antique stores... and looking at all the old Florida homes.... the festival is tomorrow and she told me to be prepared for a crowd... we talking about an hours walk this morning there were already some vendors lined up to register and set up.... I'm very happy to be here... so you all have a fun filled day & B safe...donna

Bummer, the RV World strikes again!
The TT–30 is a 30A, 120-volt recreational vehicle standard sometime it is called simply RV 30. Frequently it is confused for a NEMA 10–30 (see below) with disastrous results. Due to the appearance of the TT-30 plug, many people assume that it is to be wired for 240-volt, but this is a 120-volt device.

The 7 pin plug on your RV looks similar to the one on a semi but NOPE they are wired different. Luckily RV is flat pin and semi is round pin.

You would think the RV industry would use the industry standard instead of their own standard.

Morning, all! Had a good, but tiring day yesterday, climbing the big Cahokia Mound east of St. Louis. ALso visited the museum for the second time--still an interesting place. Luckily, I got there just as about 100 middle school kids were getting ready to leave, so the noise level quieted down very quickly!!

I'm at Babler State Park west of St Louis, and it rained a little this morning with a bit more this afternoon. I am going to rush and try for a quick bike ride before the afternoon rain because I want to explore this place. And tomorrow will be my drive to downtown and visit to the arch.

I've thought about going to Babler State Park so will be interested to hear how you like it. There aren't many around the city. I stayed at the one in St Charles and all the shaded spots were taken although the people running it were very nice and you can get on the Katie Trail at the back of the park.

Melissa, you know the RV builders can't do anything that would make sence. If my son ever gets the electricity hooked up to his trailer I am going to have them put a 30 amp plug for my motorhome. I will be sure and test it before I plug my motorhome in.

The day in Macintosh sounds like fun.

Anita, I use to have a cousin that lived in Edmond but I haven't seen him since we were kids so don't know if he's still there. He does disaster relief work with some church group. I almost got to see him 10 years ago except he went to New Orleans for Katrina instead of our area for Rita. I have plenty of room if you want to camp in my yard but I'm about 40 miles South of I-10. Not too convent unless you are doing something in the area.

I'm trying to decide whether to go to the grocery store now or wait until the lunch crowd is over. The deli at the grocery store has fried catfish on Friday and their fried fish is a lot better than mine.

been watching the details on Hurricane Patricia, guess really a bad one and crossing Mexico and looks like
it will cross on into Texas, ya'll get out the way cause I'm a worry wart ya know.
Good news from my end of the world, as I was washing my face last night, that cyst under my eye worked
its way out. I'm so glad because I was stressing over spending the money to have it taken care
of, now problem solved.
Had a big motorhome rollover on the freeway here yesterday, it was bad, killed the driver and wife was
following behind in the car and saw the whole thing. So sad. It was on the other side of town.

Redetotry, the only negative I can say about this campground is that some of the roads are too steep even for my electric bike. It is very pretty here with fall color, although leaves are falling, so it is at very end. I rode quite a ways in the park today, but ended up having to walk my bike up several hills. I really get worn out walking up hills pushing my bike, but someone is better shape might have less trouble.

Sites are all paved, with real cement paving, even. And the areas next to the sites with the picnic table is also paved. At certain periods, I get really tired of dirty and dusty campsites, and the dust blowing every time someone drives past. Sites here are fairly well spread out, also. A few sites are open for satellite, but most are at least partly or fully shaded. Electric only, so you need to fill up with water when you get here.

Sunday, I will be headed for Ray Behrens COE campground northwest of here, near Hannibal, MO.

Judy I've been up in the arch, I hope you aren't claustrophobic as they put you into a tiny little elevator car to go up and it clunks its' way up and down again. But the view from the top is worth the ride up and down again.

Carolb, yes, Diana as in mtngal. We had a wonderful, albeit short visit and off she went this morning.

This place is way busy because of the excellent weather. Nowhere near as busy as summer, but surprisingly busy for this time of year. There's about a dozen or more rv's that Diana and I watched come in yesterday. All rentals, which we figured were in a caravan as they kept arriving. This morning a bus picked them all up to go sightseeing. I talked to several of them tonight. They are from the UK on a caravan/tour. They have been hitting national parks galore and having a great time.
