The Saddle is Here!

Django's (alias Hee Haw as Bronc calls him) saddle finally arrived! It appears that Bronc needs longer legs.....and a seat belt and helmet!

Love the wrap on the horn! He's going to be a lil' roper! I definitely second the helmet, tho.

How cute!!! and it is a beautiful saddle but I think given the opportunity Bronc isn't going to need it, he will find a way to climb aboard on his own.
I saw a video on FB yesterday of a little guy who pulled a big draft horses neck down and scrambled on right above his ears then slid down into place as the horse lifted his head.

cutest little cowboy ever.!!! One thing grandma about riding with those short legs, is they will learn to ride and hold him on good and before you know it he will be showing you how well he rides bareback !!!! Or that's what happened in my family :D The helmet is a great idea at his age, I saw many in them out west this past summer, for competitions they had the hats, but that hat that Mitch found is great, am now wondering did some of those young riders maybe have them on hmmmm ???

Such a fun time ahead with that little cowboy !!!

That's what happened to me. My parents got me a used saddle when I got my horse. I used it only a couple times just riding and then for shows. All the rest of the time I rode bareback. My horse was so good that I rode her bareback without a bridle. Just touched her neck to ask her to turn or pull under her neck to stop. She was the best. We never heard of helmets then.

Bronc is soooooo cute and gonna be a great cowboy.
