Monday... already!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday... already!

Morning all!

Have a long list of errands today, not sure how many I'll get done but it's enough to keep me hopping.

I remember all the years I came to FL to visit my folks and thought they were being silly when they said it was chilly when it was in the low 60's... now I'm getting it! After the endless brutal heat of summer, 64 feels downright cool.

Good Morning Mickie,

I too have a few thing to do today too, but some may not get done due to weather. It's a chilly 48 here right now and a bit of drizzle besides. Supposed to quit later though and hope it does as I need to dig out the lid for my septic tank as it's getting pumped tomorrow. Just routine maintenance.

I remember when we used to go to FL too and visit my grandparents and laugh at the locals all bundled up if the temp got below 70. I think it's cause your blood thins out in warm climates and it also is damper cause of the ocean air there. But even up here, after being in warm weather, it takes a while to acclimate to cooler weather and this weekend was downright chilly. Highs only in upper 40's and that stiff east wind blowing.

So guess we will both be off and running this morning. Wishing everybody else a nice day out there, safe travels to those on the roads, prayers to those with health issues or families with them.

Been enjoying reading Liz's posts about her and Nan's travels through southern IL. Guess there is going to have to be a GTG down in IL next year.

Good Morning! Woke up this morning and decided that I didn’t feel like going to work. Couldn’t have any workers today so I would have sat in my office all day doing pretty much nothing. There’s coffee in the pot with several different creamers….I tend to favor the Irish crème…and some cranberry bran muffins and banana bread (honestly). Help yourself. It’s cloudy and a little dreary today but temps are supposed to get into the 70’s. Hard to believe that it’s October 5 and we haven’t even come close to a frost yet and it doesn’t look like it there will be one this week either.

Had a fun couple of weeks. It was homecoming last weekend and three of the classes that I had when I was teaching had reunions including my first class of graduating seniors. It was fun to see them.

I had Bronc most of the day Saturday which is always fun. Uncle Sean has decided to raise some chickens and showed up with a box with twelve coal black baby chicks. Bronc was afraid of them at first but that wore off fast and they had to leave for the farm before he squeezed them to death!

We wrapped our end of the preparations for friend Faye’s daughter’s wedding. Saturday night we finished the 20 boutonnieres and five silk arrangements. I have blisters on the tips of my fingers from the hot glue gun and wiring and wrapping all those darn little sprigs of berries, acorns and flowers. The only thing Missy and I are in charge of the day of the wedding is transporting the bride’s and bride maid’s fresh flower bouquets from the local florist to Sioux Falls by 3:00. We’re pretty sure we can handle that. :)

Have to add another picture of Bronc that his daddy took while they were feeding cattle. Every farm kid has to have a picture in the feed bunk! It's such a good picture of him.

Wishing all of you safe travels as you head to warmer climates. For those of you who tough out the winter months in the tundra…batten down the hatches! My prayers are going out to all of you who are facing your own health problems or have family members who are.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Cute baby pictures!! What a great post from to start out the day. Bronc is so cute!!! How is he doing with his pony, does he ride it yet?
The sun is actually out this morning and it is supposed to warm up into the 70's from daytime highs in the low sixties. I have yoga at eleven but not much else planned. Have a friend coming from Alabama tomorrow which is a ten hour drive. She says she will do it in one day and has booked a room at the worst motel around. I finally sent her some of the disgusting reviews but at this point I'm doubting she will listen. Also I will be surprised if she finds Illinois, from what she has said in her emails.

BJ, you crack me up!

BTW - if you are anywhere close to Troy there is a Super 8 there that's really inexpensive but very clean and well kept. We used to stay there 2-3 times a year when visiting friends in E-Ville

Got two weeks laundry to do, and trying to recover from spending all day yesterday at Cedar Point amusement park with son and family. Kids had fun since it was Halloween decorations and characters. Also, cool temperature was nice compared to sweltering as seems to always happen in summer there. Also nice that there were no crowds--lines that might have been a couple of hours during peak summer were only 20 minutes. Nine-year-old grandson went with dad on several roller coasters, while his wife and I took younger two on kiddie rides.

Trying to stuff a lot of visiting in a hurry because I will not be back here for almost a year. Spending Christmas and most of next year out west, but might fly in here for one granddaughters birthday in May.

So, would you believe I suggested that I would take three kids to Chuck E Cheese tonight???????? Got to be nuts, but this is only day this week they do not have a ton of activities. Wish me luck!!

Just had to pop in & say Bronc sure is a little cutie! I think every family must have some type of pic that always has to be taken in each generation. Our is lined up on the curb on the street.

Bronc is adorable!

Ok, evening here. I'm committed (in more ways than one) now to manage the store again next year. If any of you are interested: working, let me know. I'm still working out details on pay etc for next year, but shouldn't be long before I have the answers needed.

I'm in Wyoming at a free city park with electric. Sure wish I could have made it to Pat's this year. Some day... Tomorrow I'll get to my cousins in Colorado and spend two nights.

And there are good people in the world. I changed my ways coming here and while the way I'd planned recognized this park, neither gps I use did. I was on a side street and both told me it was the correct location. I pulled over to pull up the map on Streets and Trips, but before I could even get out of the drivers seat a man on a motorcycle pulled up and asked if he could help. He proceeded to lead me to the city park. Nice man.

Pat - Great photos of Bronc. Need to see one of your floral creations too.
Judy - Good luck at Chuck E Cheese, I would have just said shoot me now.
