Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNDAY OCT. 4

Well I'm almost ready to roll on down the road to Melbourne
This is a pretty nice park Big Wheel RV park St Mary's Georgia...
I will probably come back here sometime as a getaway from Camp driveway
On this trip back I took my time and when I did stay in a campground I spent a day or two or three.... with thais experience I really wish I had a tow car... but then I keep thinking about the expense and I think I might try a rental car plan a trip for a week to 10 days and rent one and see what happens and how that goes... and I know I did not research enough to see if where I might want to visit could accommodate my rig so I need to get better at doing that... anyway after I got out of camp Walmart and in these last two campgrounds I had a very enjoyable time anyway everyone have a fun filled day & B safe...donna

Good morning all - from the posts of the last few days it sounds like everyone is busy coming and going and organizing! Cold weather is coming! Here on the Oregon coast we're getting ready for storms - cleaning out gutters and installing storm doors.

Yesterday was the first day in two weeks that I felt human again, after a nasty flu bug. I still have no voice and a lingering cough. I seem to get this every fall so next year I'm going into hiding. I'll go to the forest and eat berries and twigs.

Today I need to clean out my little RV, and give it some TLC. I think I need to plan a trip soon, as I'm anxious to wander again.

Everyone have a really good day, and take a few moments to just enjoy being alive!

good morning ladies,
love these cool mornings we're getting, so glad the triple digits are done until next year. Got all the weeds done yesterday and started on my fence repairs, more of that today. Will need to make a trip to Home Depot for additional supplies.
Safe travels to those on the road and certainly hope the eastern girls are safe from all that rain. Ya'll have a great day.

Good Morning, Donna and Everyone, Not raining but cloudy here, but won't stop plans for the day. Donna, I know the CG you've been in, it is a nice one. Wishing you safe travels today , enjoy the last leg of your trip. Think we each learn new things to do every time we make a trip. I know I do.

Hope everyone has a great day today, do something you enjoy, no matter what it is. But stay safe,

CArol :)
Judi, you and Alice snuck in on me, sure glad to hear you are feeling much better. Yes, these cooler mornings are great, love them too, rain makes it cooler but should be gone tomorrow. Don't work too hard either one of you, enjoy your day.

Gmorning all!

Well, Ava, glad you got your weeding done--I was hurrying to get on the road so I could get out there & do them for you hahaha. Judi, glad you're feeling human again--& your "bug" reminds me to get a flu shot before I take off. I know, that's a controversial issue, but I go by my own experience. Like you, I'd be really down with "it" bad every fall/winter, & don't want to go there ever again! Donna, did you get hit with all that rain coming up the east coast?

A little sun here this a.m., but still cool. Have more yardwork to do, but will wait til tomorrow when it'll be a few degrees warmer & not windy. I'm becoming such a wimp--won't wait for all the leaves to fall this year! I'll be heading to warmer climes as soon as I get my HB repairs done.

That's about it from here. Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Morning everyone!

It was cool here this morning, 64! Felt really nice after the wet-wool-blanket heat and humidity of the summer.

Spending some time today getting Rosie ready to travel to the dealer next weekend, she's going to get a professional wash and wax to protect her from the relentless sun down here. And we're having the systems serviced as well and will have the leaky black water valve repaired. Cannot wait to get her back and plan a mini gtg with Donna down in Melbourne!!

Good Morning, My littler hunters caught their breakfast this morning, ACK another rabbit. I heard a commotion in the yard and went out to call them in, Toby looked up at me, grabbed the rabbit and started running toward me. I ran for the door! These are big rabbits and I don't know where they are getting through the fence.
Mickie I just had to have my black water valve repaired, thankfully it was a very slow leak. The wash and wax guys that come to the house charged more than the leak cost.
Judi glad to hear you are feeling better! Carolb, glad to hear you are starting earlier this year, maybe your leaves will all blow away by the time you get back.
I need cut my hair and get in the shower if I'm going to get to the meeting I want to go to at noon.

Mornin ladies

Well Mom is now fighting "flu like symptoms" that the doctor's office said is part of shingles. Saw her yesterday and then went back last night at 8:30 PM after receiving 3 phone calls from her and she didn't say anything. She had the chills so bad is what's going on now, so told her the doctor said there is nothing else they can give her (ER doctor said the same thing) and she just has to tough it out. By the time I got home (11 PM maybe) I was exhausted and neighbor was having a party. The heavy bass music was bouncing my house. When I see them outside I'll talk to them, but I was just too tired last night so just went to sleep on the couch until 3 this morning.

Then Dad calls this AM and tells me his car battery is dead after church. He called my cousin who lives 4 doors down, and haven't heard back from dad so at least it doesn't sound like I have to go give him a jump.

Judi - sounds like you want to be more of a full-timer now since your big trip. But still nice that you have that little cottage to return to.

BJ - the bunnies will tunnel under a fence. I had a landscaper tell me the only way to keep them out is to dig down 12" and line the perimeter with the heaviest chicken wire you can find.

Othersharon - what I bought for the wardrobe in the TT aren't really shelves, more like baskets. But I wanted something that I didn't have to drill holes (my luck I'd hit something or cause a leak). They get put together with a soft mallet and it's actually drawers that slide out. Got them at the Container store and they have a few widths and heights available. Plus if needed, I can always take them with me if I sell Colt and no damage done. Here a link, click on one of the other views to see it put together if you're interested.

Hoping to get some of my own errands run today after this week and yesterday. Really tired of just yogurt for lunch.

Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the road.

Those of you who saw my FB post later yesterday afternoon know I just wasn't up to snuff. Wasn't sick - so think it's just the weather giving me the blahs - and I was sooooooooooo tired. Tried to go to bed at 6:30 last night. Peaches was willing and able, but no matter how tired I was, I couldn't sleep. Did mostly nothing and I should have been putting inside stuff away to not have to do it tonight :o Oh well. And it was close to 11 before I finally got to sleep. Who can figure?

I've been working away at the store since about 9:30 and have gotten 1/2 of what I need to finish today done to complete the inventory. The rest should go faster. Then I want to get all the garbage out. Had I had help I would have done a bit of extra cleaning, but I've been told it'll collect all the dust anyway, so come spring, it won't make a difference. Shoot, just thought of something I didn't count ... will only take a couple minutes, but have to quit finding things lol

Tomorrow morning, if all goes as planned, I'll meet with my boss for awhile, then disconnect and hit the road. I'll be heading into Colorado, and going through some mountains, so who knows what my phone/wifi service will be. But am looking forward to a couple days with a cousin and his wife.

Weather is still grey and gloomy, but I refuse to let it get me down today!!! (I think the headache with it yesterday was the final straw - which I believe is from the weather, also - so I'm hoping it doesn't come back today.)

Last night we had that distant rumbling kind of thunder that makes for music to sleep by. Sunny out today and we finally have left triple digits behind it seems and maybe even mostly left 90's behind. That's a welcome thought. Windy today so fire danger still present, but humidity higher which is good. Mel feeling better, but now the agonizing decisions regarding radiation and chemo. We see those docs Oct 12. No real plans for us as we dont know how long we will be tied to treatment. Would much rather be out there camping in the RV!
Have a good day all.

Good Afternoon,

I am having a very lazy day! I have small stacking containers of odds and ends that are a pain to get to so heading to JoAnn for a stack of drawers I think will work under the table. This will be my third attempt at organizing this stuff so should buy stock in Sterlite/Rubbermaid/whatever! Somewhat like having multiple junk drawers.

I should probably go to my aunt and uncle's after that.

Beth, safe travels as you head to your next destination. You should be witnessing beautiful fall colors along the way!

Cheryl, sorry your mother is suffering with shingles. Sure hate seeing all the health issues going on with family members on here.

Carolb, glad you aren't waiting for the leaves this year! :) Ava, sort of laughing about weeds in the summer heat of the desert! Who knew.

BJ, here it can be rats or mice delivered, but that's country life. I've never seen rabbits here so maybe they have taken care of all of them. The coyotes really make a racket at night, but before I hear them, I hear one of the dogs barking at them.

Donna, sounds like you have had a nice trip. So nice to travel without a deadline.

Hope you are all having a good day and safe travels to all on the road.

:D Works for me...I haven't had the flu since I started RVing, and especially since I retired and went full-time.

Today was a travel day...Nan and I traveled about 20 miles south to the Ohio River. Tomorrow we will take the ferry to Kentucky. Such stress!

Had an interesting night. I woke up and a blue light associated with the after-market security alarm (that came with my RV when I bought it) was flashing. That usually happens when I accidentally set the alarm with my key fob. So I punched the buttons on my key fob to disable it, but it wouldn't stop flashing. So I decided to start the engine to see if that would reset it. Turned the key in the ignition and....nothing. Wouldn't start. So I dug out the instructions for the security system (at 2 a.m.). I had read it once in 2012 and decided it was all too complicated for me, so never use the alarm except when I accidentally set it and then accidentally set off the alarm, lol. Apparently the security system had blocked my ignition so the RV wouldn't start. Didn't know it did that. To disable that I needed to turn the ignition to "on" and within 15 seconds push the discreetly hidden button located somewhere under the dash. What? Nobody ever showed me a hidden button when I bought the RV. After a cursory look by flashlight I gave up until morning. This morning I opened the drivers side door and crawled partway under the dash with my flashlight. I finally noticed a tiny button on the end of a loosely dangling wire...not attached to anything. That was it and I was able to fix the problem and start the RV. Now I wonder if Thistle somehow caused that security level to be set when he was in the front trying to keep dogs and people from walking by the RV while I was gone. Poor Thistle gets suspected of everything.

Hope everyone has a good day. The sun is coming out here...may need to get out for another walk.

Liz, I have an after market alarm system too and all I know about it I have learned by trial and error. Mostly error. lol Mine didn't have any instructions that I have ever seen. I wonder if I have a button under the dash. I managed to set it off at a gas station and my motorhome wouldn't start either. I did so many things trying to stop the alarm and get it to start I don't know which thing worked. I just hope it works as well for a thief as it does for me. I am really careful to not set it off in the middle of the night.
