Gmorrning all :D

Since I poofed a post last time I tried (on my cell) I decided it was time to get my laptop situation resolved. Got a cheap tablet with detachable keyboard--this will take some getting used to, but it's much better than typing on my phone! & y'all are spared my return to my "u"-less laptop  ....

Mickie/Mary, I have a Roadtrek--love it! I agree that the dump valves are a pain, but like others say, dumping is not a daily thing...Catherine, I can't believe you're really an LA Lady now! Anita, exciting about grandson placing 5th, & YES, great memories of our gtg at Councill Grove/COE. Beth, does it seem possible that your season is already over? Where's your next job?

Been working like crazy getting ready to leave for the winter. Repairs to HB, fall yard cleanup & planting bulbs for spring. Also, doing SPRING cleaning! Yep, when I return in the spring, I'm so overwhelmed with yard/garden that I don't have time/energy for house. So this time, I'll return to a clean house--carpets/furniture shampooed, furniture rearranged with a few pieces "tossed," papers filed, files purged etc etc.....this feels good!

Y'all on the southeast coast, keep safe during these storms! Looks like NYC will get much rain, but here in central NY, we're to have a bautiful fall wkend. Which reminds me, Tina, where in NY are you??? I'm just a few miles from Utica, so stop by if you're traveling through!

Y'all have a great day, be safe always 8-)

Morning, Carol! Where are you headed for the winter?

Spent a bunch of time in Rosie yesterday, figured out a couple more things and was tickled to have the generator running with the back AC on while I was working. This thing is quite spiffy.

Looks like we'll miss the Joaquin mess, hope you gals up the coast are safe and sound.

Mornin Carol & Mickie ~~~

This morning reminds me of Winnie the Pooh's Blustery Day ~ need to hold on to the storm door when letting the dog out. Running out to Colt at the storage lot. I bought some shelves that I want to see if they fit. The drawers slide out so need to make sure they can come through the skinny door.

Then off to Mom's. Sure wish she would have moved out by all of the rest of us 15 years ago. She's an hour (about) away and coming home to let the dog out after work and then back & forth to her house is getting old really fast. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Made my reservation to get winterized and get a few warranty things fixed and need to get a cover for the winter. Sure wish I could have gotten out more, but the 2 trips were great. I've made an alarm on my phone for 6 months in advance so I can make some reservations for next year.

That's all for today. Have a good day ladies & stay safe on the road.

Good morning.
One more moving day and I'll be back home. Most of today will be on Interstate, my least favorite route but much quicker.
Still cold and grey out with misty rain this morning so I'm thankful I'm not in a hurry but dread having to dump in this weather. Want to try to rinse black tank a bit to see if can clear sensor. Drives me crazy when it ays full and I know better.
Hope you have some sunshine in your day; doesn't look like I'll have any.

Good Morning,

Cloudy, gray morning here and the wind is still blowing out there. Not bad but makes for a chilly day. Be glad when Joaquin gets way out to sea and take it with it.

Carolb, you sound like me getting your "chores done. While you are doing "spring chores", I am busy with "fall chores". Got a new door ordered for between my kitchen and breezeway to help keep the kitchen warmer in winter, dug out an old pond form from my deck flowerbed area. I'm not using it for a pond anymore and it stays too wet due to no drainage to fill with dirt and plant in it. Then cut down ad removed a small dwarf apple tree yesterday. Made appts. for septic pumping and carpet cleaning next week. time o get both done. Today I think will be removal of three small dwarf Alberta spruce that got some winter damage last winter and haven't recovered. Too many gray spots on them. Guess you can blame all this energy on my new Vitamin D3 pills I got at the Health Food store in Shipshewana. Way better stuff that what I had been using from WalMart. Those store brands have way too many "fillers" in them. My health food store here carries same brand, so am in business now.

Anita, great that your grandson finished 5th after being so far back. And nice you got to see Canning Creek again. Sarah, safe travels on the final stretch of your trip. Martha, hope you headache went away. Beth, can't believe it's time to be closing up shop and heading out. Seems lkke you were just opening and stocking. Are you going back again next year or is it time for new adventures?

Have friends camping over at the State Park near here so will be going over to visit with them later today. Was over for a bit last night by the campfire. Was darn chilly out there. I'm planning to winterize my trailer, maybe tomorrow and then soon as we get a nice day, will wash and cover it for winter. It's already sitting up on boards to keep the tires off the ground, tire covers on and stuff taken out etc.

So, time to get moving here. Hope you all have a nice day today. Keep safe in those heavy rains if any of you are in them.

Good morning all. Carol, you have been busy! It does feel good to get things organized, doesn't it! I had Salvation Army here earlier in the week and they took away so much! More to go but for now I can at least see my floor in the office and dining room where I was piling bags and other stuff! So between that and the cleanup in the garage and old carport I feel like I've accomplished quite a bit! If it's not raining tomorrow my electrician is supposed to come and put in a 30 amp plug out by the garage so I can move Lola out there. Cheryl, I'm curious about the slide out shelf you have. I have a narrow cupboard too but none of the slide outs I have found will work. The only one I found that was even close was the Rev-A-Shelf (think that's the name?) but it neeed 1/4" more clearance then I have on the sides. It's frustrating because it's a nice cupboard but so deep that I have to move things in the front to get to anything in the back. Mickie, so glad you are figuring out your RT's ins and outs! You'll be a pro in no time!

I hope everyone south of here are getting through all the bad weather. Looks like we are on the western edge of all the rain. We are supposed to get quite a bit today but then just a chance for tomorrow. But the temps have fallen, I finally broke down and turned the furnace on in the house yesterday. The lower temperature in the house is doable but need to get the dampness out. The colors have really started on the hills and sadly on the trees around my house! Time to pull out the rakes! I need to call my rv guy to make an appointment for winterizing Lola. It'll be time sooner then later! I'll have to try for a week end when there isn't a PSU home game since he's involved in the tailgate part of the week ends. Then I can cover her for the winter. It'll be here sooner then I'm ready but so goes living in this part of the world!

Time to get this day started. Coffee is done so no excuse! Laundry day and get some other things done inside the house today! Be safe and have a good day.

Good Morning Everyone, Oh my sounds like you all are really busy getting all that stuff done before winter arrives. Its a rainy, nasty day here, have projects planned inside that need doing. Working on another lap robe for nursing home. Have several done and will take down soon. Planning to request they be given to those who don't have family or visitors. I have accumulated several and have found them in several areas of my home here, so another thing to clear out. I have not crocheted for some time, but now that my eyes are fixed I have enjoyed it in the evenings again while I watch tv. Its a wonderful pass time, always has been for me, and so pleased to be able to do It again.

I'm still in a mess here, but have found someone to take the rest of these trees down, they look ready to fall anytime, and beings one has I am really scared of it now. I have always been leery of it, 7 huge trees in one huge base, who wouldn't be??? The rain is not my friend really right now, hopefully Monday rain will be out of here and guy will come , who has agreed to cut these things down. Good has come out of this fallen tree and no power to well that I found when I first got home. It has been a real problem and will be for some time yet, there will be a terrible mess cleaning up after 7 trees on the ground. :o  :D

I did all the errands I needed to yesterday, trash run with all the stuff from my small freezer that decided to die, filled the RV up with petrol, cheap, :) loved that and then grocery for drinking water. When I got back decided against parking on the property in driveway, coming down the road saw those trees and all look like they will hit almost everything on property if they decide to fall. So have RV parked out by road in safest place there is here. Do I have to say how happy Monday will make me ???? if it isn't raining that is.

Maggie and I, are fine, she is still doing good, lets me know when its meal time for sure or when she really needs out. She doesn't really see anything anymore but does seem to find me, when she wants too, wherever I am. So as long as we are fine, guess I just can't fuss, about the inconvenience . At least I have the facilities of the RV. :D

I know many of us are in rain today, and those who aren't probably wish they were, I do want to let you know, I would be very happy to share  :D
Have a good day all, those on the road stay safe and those wishing they were find some way to enjoy your day anyway.
Take care all,
CArol :)

Good Morning! So many busy ladies! All the chores to be done and I am right in there with you including yard work for my daughter!

CArol, I'm happy you can see to crochet again! I wish I had the patience to knit! My granddaughter made herself a long scarf with music clef and notes - I should get a photo of it. She always has something going and carries it with her.

Carolb, still hoping we can meet somewhere before Arizona.

OSharon, I have had the furnace on the last couple of days, too. What a difference from 90 degree weather.

Sarah, my toilet 'burps' at me when it gets near full. Black tank sensors are pretty much useless. I had sensors installed on the outside of my tanks (SeeLevel) and the black will still read fuller than I know it is. Only did that because my whole monitor board was toast.

The weather has turned cool so have to dig out warmer clothes and put the blankets back on the bed. At last high school football game I got cold so wore more layers last night - still was cold to the bone! Long Johns, gloves, ear warmers, heavy socks, boots, etc will be out by next Friday night. These boys are really fun to watch - nice plays. Grandson is drum major and granddaughter plays flute with the band. I guess drum major is an honor, but means he doesn't get to play his sax with marching band.

11 year old granddaughter had 2 friends spend the night. Glad I don't have to be in the house! They knocked on my door at 8:30 - I was still in bed keeping warm!

Fall Festival in the tiny town of Riley today so may go in after while.

Have a good day all - even with all the chores! Safe travels!

Ava, I could send Harold over with his weed spray. He sprayed the corner where my son moved his trailer to. My son said there won't be anything growing there for a while. I just try to keep him away from the side of the house where my roses are.

I don't miss the high school football games where we froze half to death. I would go in my motorhome and when I couldn't stand it anymore I would go warm up.

CArol, hope the guy gets your trees taken care of soon. It's when the ground is really wet that they are more likely to get blown over. We have a big live oak in front of our old house that need some dead limbs cut out. The last time we hired someone to do it he cut himself really bad. Just glad Harold had hired a company to do it so we weren't liable. We have a tree right beside the new drive way and I am just waiting for Harold to back into it. He backed into my old blazer and backed into my van with the 4 wheeler.

This would be a good weekend to go camping. The weather is so nice and not so hot. I will be gone all next week and I'm still getting ready for that so no camping yet. I have a friend at the local state park and will stop and visit on my way to town. I need to turn the refrigerator on so I will have a place to put food when I get back from town. I need to get my son to replace the GFI receptacle that is on the same circuit as the refrigerator. It keeps tripping so I have to really watch that the refrigerator isn't off. The previous owner of my motorhome had put another plug in behind the refrigerator. I need to see if that is still connected and try plugging the refrigerator into that if it's on another circuit.

Good morning!
Just got home from breakfast with friends and the horse tack sale. I found a heated water bucket for $5, they cost $40 new! If it works, it's a bargain. If not, I have a $5 water or feed bucket all the same.

Need to get the house cleaned up, having friends over for lunch tomorrow. Not that they'll even notice the dirty floors, but it will make me happier.

Have reservations for one more camping trip planned with Cheryl and anyone else I might bring along. I forsee chili and big campfires for us, Cheryl!

Almost enough room in the hay shed for my last 40 bales; will call hay man to deliver them next week.

Funny but I seem to be turning into my MIL; no matter where she goes she meets people she knows and will stop and talk to them. I'm always running into someone. This morning it was one of my petsitting clients at the feed store, I've not actually seen her since I started watching her dogs and cats 6 yrs. ago! We chatted for a bit about her business and her horses; she owns a carriage business in Chicago. You might remember seeing something about horse carriages being set on fire in Chicago some months back. Well, those were her carriages and she lost all of them. So it's good to know she's got them all replaced.

Well, better get going on my cleaning, time's a wasting!
Everyone take care,
Kathy

All of your house chores make me even happier with my decision back when to get rid of a house! I find the rv chores too much lol.

Sneaking in just before it hits noon here. I'm at the store working on the inventory. I should have done some yesterday, then I know I'd finish today ... but I did personal stuff yesterday and never set foot in here! So there! If I have to come in for a bit tomorrow, I will. And, yes, I could finish today ... but I'm not going to work so fast unless I run out of time. Ha.

Have a tray of stuff next to me so going to get back to it.

Wonderful day all ... (oh, good days for inventory - rainy rainy rainy - supposed to clear on Monday so will be a great day to get on the road!)
