Good Morning, Donna and Everyone!!! Just wanted to wish you safe travels today, Donna. Its rainy here too. I'm home, and what a mess I have here. I have a huge tree down and it took power out, so no water. Neighbors came over with saw and cut enough of tree away where I could get in the drive way. They have helped find help for me to get it all fixed here, and I have the rv, with water , electric and everything so what else could you want, right ???

This is reason, I have not posted, didn't want to whine, just state whats going on, and won't list it all as no need. Just need to get back in the swing of things here, so I can do all the things I had hoped to get done before winter, and heading to Fl. My mind thought of all of the things I needed to do before leaving here, on my really lovely trip home and it is just delayed, hopefully not to long where the list doesn't get finished :o :D

The most amazing thing to me is it did not put me in a worried or frantic state of mind. I knew it would all get fixed and hey why worry. :D That part I can't get over, hmmm :) Other then the mouth hanging open faze when I first drove down the hill and saw this mess, I haven't been in a tizzy about it.

My trip home was fantastic, in spite of the fact I had to use the wipers from time to time. I took a route down through the mountains of Ky and Tn and it was fabulous, my only disappointment was no real change of leaves yet. The scenic drive was great !!!! I love the mountains, although some of those drive ways I saw, I am sure glad I don't have one, now that I would not love

Safe travels, Donna and all others on the road, enjoy your ride !!! Those with health issues, most are in my prayers, and I'm hoping everything will be ok soon for each of you. Have a great day !!!

CArol :)

:o Wow when I first saw the name of this post I read it as "Rolling Wed" = Rolling Wedding. Took me a minute to figure out it was Rolling Wednesday. Donna was wondering what in the world you were doing, Making your way south, I will be several weeks behind you. Carol glad the tree didn't do more damage.

Enjoying more AMish country here. Found several fabric shops, grabbed several ideas of things to make, so bought some items I am sure I can't get in Florida. Oh how I wish my sewing machine was with me. Can't wait to be reunited with it.

Going to take a look at Abe Lincoln's father's farm today. A bit cool here but I like the cooler weather. Rained off and on yesterday so ran between the raindrops.

Okay off to enjoy the day....

Good morning
Carol, so sorry about the mess but glad tree didn't cause worse problems.
Moving day again for me as well. Still heavy overcast sky but the rain has stopped and a bit chilly this AM. A little longer drive today than I've been doing and some of it will be Interstate.
Was great to visit with BJ (readytotry), meet her husband and all 3 of her fur babies plus see some of the area.
It is a shame this campground (Crab Orchard Lake) does not take reservations as it would be a perfect location for a gtg.
Time for another cup of coffee and Nicky walk.

good morning ladies
oh Carol, so sorry for all the extra mess you have to take care of.
Well, got that dreaded colonoscopy over with. Two tiny little polyps down low and today I'm on a regular eat anything
menu. I'd have to admit the special diets over the last few days were actually the hardest part! I took today off from work
just because I have a good 600 hrs of sick time built up and I only get a third of it when I retire, so,,,,,might as well use
some of it this year. Although, that third I will get is like a little savings account in my pocket planning on paying for my
first trip out in my rv when I get it. :D
Really wish I had something exciting to tell ya'll about but I don't, so I'm just gonna say have a great day, be safe, and
be healthy

Sounds like everyone is having fun and/or adventurous travels!

Since it seems to have stopped raining for a few minutes I'll go out and put the plates and beach parking sticker on Rosie, that and try to get the legion of bugs off the windshield!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Goodness CArol, might have been a good thing you weren't there when the tree came down. Hope you can get things cleaned up before you need to head South.

I went off to Lafayette yesterday and mostly messed around. I found things I wasn't looking for but not what I was looking for. It rained all around me but I managed to get in and out of stores without getting wet.

Donna, sorry you didn't find a pup. It is really hard to see all the dogs and cats on TV and Facebook and not take them in. I have to remember the vet bills that go with them and just take care of the ones we have.

I better get moving. I have to bring Harold to the dermatologist.

Good Morning all,

See all my GTG friends are up and rolling along, some still on the road and CArol, sorry you had to come home to a mess. I know the feeling there as had same thing about 3 years ago when I was up in the U.P. for a month in Dec. Came home after New Year's to trees down in my yard from a big heavy snowstorm that caused a lot of damage to the area, but fortunately, none for me. Big pine in back yard snapped off high up towards the top, but missed my fence and far enough from garage. But was a mess to clean up. Glad you didn't have any damage and thankfully you weren't there when it happened either.

See there is a hurricane moving in on the coast, right now sounds like the Carolinas up toward the seaboard area. Hopoe none of you in those areas get hit from it. Probably get rained on good I'm sure. We are chilly here but sunshine for the foreseeable future, temps in low 60's which is fine by me.

Ava, glad you got through your colonoscopy yesterday. Yeah, the before diet leaves a lot to be desired, although I have to admit that I wasn't really hungry that day. Drank some chicken broth before I started taking the "stuff" and it was fine. I too woildbe taking some of those sick days off while you can. I lost some when I left the school system.

Nan, sounds like you and I'm sure Liz are enjoying some Amish country things. I will probably go back next year. Sarah, nice that you were able to see BJ and tour some of her area. Safe travels as you work your way home.

I'm getting ready to leave here shortly to meet Louise (HavingFunNow) for lunch down in Mt. Pleasant. It's about an hour and a hlf drive for both of us, so makes a good place to meet. She of course wants to hear all about the GTG's she wasn't able to make it to. So, it's about time to hit the road here. Hope you all have a nice day today, no matter what is happening. Prayers for those with health issues.

Good Morning!

So much going on with everyone! CArol, sorry about the mess but glad it wasn't worse. For a long time I got over having a tizzy about things, but when they come in multiples, I get a little worked up.

Micki and Mary, you'll get things figured out! Just number the valve handles, write instructions, whatever works for Mary.

Ava, I put off the colonoscopy for 15 years or so - really wasn't that big a deal in the end. (pun intended) Really glad you had it since the found polyps. I enjoy reading about your kayak adventures!

Sarah and Donna, sorry you are running into rain, but so nice you are on the road and having some visits!

Thinking and praying for Lyn and family every day.

I actually had some time (and energy) for a small amount of heavy cleaning yesterday!! Helped that temps have cooled off. Family activities continue here at my daughter's. I had planned to leave here October 19, but my granddaughter has been asked to play a flute solo at the high school choral concert that night. Her usual piano accompanist isn't available so my grandson will do the honors!

Next summer's plans are starting to take shape - really thought I wanted a quiet summer for a change but not happening! Too many things on the 'I want to do that' list.

Have a great day everyone and safe travels to those on the road.

Not moving at all today! After two long days (290 miles each) of driving to get back to Ohio, I am sitting and doing nothing today. Tomorrow, I will go out and run some errands--got lots of little things I need to pick up. Then will have a car starting on Friday for six days (nice $125 rate for week) and use it to visit son and grandkids.

At least the rain has stopped for a couple of days. It is SO noisy at night with the rain. I am a very restless sleeper, but last night slept 7 hours in one stretch without getting up, which is amazing. Then went back to bed until almost 10. Yes!! Felt really good.

Plan on some good reading today and maybe a bit of cooking. Just made myself some crepes and put my homemade fruit syrup on them. Yum.

I found the fall color. It is here in New York State. It is beautiful even in the rain. The rig smells like four wet dogs after two days of rain but everything will eventually dry out. I seem to have a leak. Not sure but I am thinking it may be from the slide. I will know more when it stops raining and I see if I still have water coming across the floor. Could be the slide or kicking up from the road. At least I am not blaming the dogs water bowl anymore. :) Now to find time this fall to get it fixed between travels. I think I might try a mobile RV fix it guy after Claudia's good experience. I beats the "shop" saying they can't fit you in for a month and telling you they need to keep it for 6 weeks. LOL

safe travels everyone whether at home or out and about!
