Good rainy morning to everyone...I am at Santee Lakes Campground in SC...got here yesterday afternoon after messing around in Florence ...spent the night there at WM then looked for a few geocaches ...found a couple...but the third one was not found but a pleasure to at least try...in the middle of all these businesses WM Lowes and all those was a neat walking trail in the woods...I will post about it my blog...Liz you would have been proud of me walking on a trail in the woods all alone in a place unfamiliar place ...it was a rails to trails type ...I did not go far because it was getting late after spending 30 min looking for the cache...now I am here for 2 days ...then moving on south...I think one of my stops will be to visit Lori and DH before crossing the Georgia Florida line and on hopefully to visit Mickie & Mary and see the new rig...all for now have a fun filled day & B safe....donna ;)

Good Morning Donna and all,

Donna, you sound like you are enjoying your travels south. Even a few possible visits planned.

Molly and I are back home here after a good drive yesterday. Sure hated to leave the campground and the wonderful ladies I spent time with. But unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Have the trailer pretty well cleaned out, few things to remove today. Getting it ready to winterizing and putting away from season as much s I hate too. But know that cooler weather is coming and other things to do. Been a great season for me, so no complaints there.

Have to do some reading to catch up here. Have been doing some, but behind on last couple of days. Looks like all's well for the most part out in RV land. So am going to get moving here. Off to Farmers Market for some ripe tomatoes and one other errand to run before getting back in the unloading business and cutting of my grass. You all have a great day out there and those on the road, safe travels.

good morning ladies
I stopped at walgreens on the way home yesterday to fill my prescription for my colonoscopy "cocktail". They told me
the wait was an hour so I went next door to get dinner and come back rather than drive home and have to go out again.
Went back an hour later and I was told they didn't have it but could have it Monday. NO, I NEED IT MONDAY! 3 walgreens
later they called me at home and I'll go pick it up this morning. At least its still on "this" side of town and not 50 miles away.
It totally stressed me out cause poor maggie was waiting for me to get home and I was overdue by her standards. We'll do
the special low fiber diet this weekend, won't be hard, its pretty much the way I eat anyway. The hard part is when I get
down to that "ya can't eat anything" part. I know ya'll have been through this before, but I've always put it off and now
its time with all these squamous cells popping up I can't ignore the procedure anymore.
This weekend will be a working weekend, as far as chores and cleaning out the car putting the kayak and gear away.
I was really hoping we were done with 100 degree temps but it looks like the temps are back up there this week.
Ya'll have a great day, safe travels and enjoy.

I have hardly ridden my bike in the last month, but got it out a couple of days ago and used it to get around Salisbury Beach. While I was at this campground, I washed my screens and windows inside and out. I can't even remember how long before I had done those things. Also washed my bike and got some of the dirt off of it. It is amazing how dirty it gets even being covered and the cover zipped on the bottom. And since it is not going to rain for the next couple of days, I am leaving it uncovered because the cover is filthy. Might try to hose that off tonight.

Anyway, I am in Salem within bike riding of the museum and other town things. There are no places to park my big rig anyway, so I had planned this so I could ride in instead of renting a car for a day.

Found a great place yesterday, Parker Wildlife Refuge, on Plum Island and spent a lot of time there yesterday. Also chatted for a long time with some very nice people. They were my style of sharp and funny, and never even said "All by yourself????" when they found out I was traveling alone!! Get really tired of that phrase.

Will head to Sturbridge, MA, tomorrow morning on my way back to Ohio.

Good morning, everyone.

My prayers go with you, Lyn. Be safe & don't forget to take care of yourself.

I haven't been able to keep up much during the week on posts - busy with baby & working. She's a delight but I fear she may be getting spoiled - she prefers rocking (even when asleep) to her swing & loves to talk to someone (me) when she's awake. I love it though - she's still an infant (still has that infant cry when she thinks she's going to starve to death), yet is extremely interactive - smiles & coos & talks. Her little legs are always in motion - she's going to be an active one once she figures out that little body of hers. Yes, I'm in love! :D

Work is going well - although living in 2 time zones can get confusing at times. (I work in central time, but live in pacific time) :? Getting into a routine & making myself turn off the computer when I'm done for the day.

Will finally get my minivan later this week so it will be nice to be able to take miss Olivia out when I need to.

Going to San Diego tomorrow to visit my baby girl. She's intent on moving to Paris while her friend finishes school. I was very leary at first but he really does seem to be a nice guy & they are crazy about each other.

Well, better get started on the day.
Safe travels,
Catherine

Catherine, I had friends and a son that married someone from another country. That's a hard road to walk sometimes especially when kids are involved. Hope things work out for your daughter.

Ava, good luck with your diet. That really is the hardest part. When you have to start drinking the prep you will be so busy you won't have time to think about it. lol

Donna, you will enjoy spending time with Lori and Doc. I'm sorry that Harold was having surgery during the time they were here and I didn't get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked. It sounds like you are taking your time getting to Florida and not making a mad dash. Our weather has cooled off some but it is still in the low 90's . There was a trail near the KOA we stayed at in St Petersburg that went for miles. They tried to do one of the Rails-To-Trails paths in a town near me but all the people along the trail had such a fit that it never got made. Now all they have are bike lanes on some of the busy streets and someone is always getting hit by a car.

I decided to go to town yesterday and forgot about the homecoming parade. I had to detour all over town trying to get around that mess. They throw Mardi Gras beads for all the parades so the streets are a mess every where the parade passes. People don't watch their kids and the kids just walk out in front of cars trying to pick up candy.

Lyn, sorry to hear about your SIL. Prayers for you and your family.
