Monday back to work

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday back to work

Postby gingerK » Mon Sep 21, 2015 7:34 am

Good morning all,
Well it's back to work for me tho I'd much rather be back at Shipshe for the rest of the week. I did get a nice dinner when I got home, DH was just taking some Italian sausages off the grill as I pulled in. I made better time going home than going out, probably because I knew where I was going.

Thinking about Velda this morning and her DH. Hope this surgery goes perfectly and he feels much better after. Will say a prayer for speedy recovery for him.

Kind of in turn around mode this week; I have another gtg with a FB group here in IL and will be leaving again. Didn't even unload most of the stuff in the refrig, why bother?

I did bite the bullet and order a new phone. I really hate this Motorola and the last straw was when my friend texted me pictures of her Mom's damaged car (it got hit where she had parked it on a side street while visiting friends. Her Mom's ok, wasn't in the car thank goodness) the pics came through in black & white! I will be calling my carrier today to reactivate my old Samsung. I'd rather deal with a bad battery than this new piece of junk phone.

That's all I got this morning. Dentist appt. at 9:30 so I need to get cracking on chores.
Everyone take care,
Kathy

Morning, Kathy! Sounds like you all had a really fun time in IN! Wish I could have been there.

Positive thoughts headed out to Velda and hubby today, hope it all goes smooth and easy.

Which motorola phone do you have? I'm getting ready to switch carriers and am considering the E.

Finally got someone to check my left front wheel bearings. Making rrrr-rrrr-rrrrring noise and vibration. Tire is worn badly so going to switch with spare. Glad to get it fixed because it has been a serious worry. Also need a haircut and some groceries today so I can that will be next. Hope this does not take too long.

Still too far northeast for satellite but enjoying campground cable since I have had no tv for three weeks. Hope to head to Massachusetts tomorrow with everything done

Judy, you need to get a Flow Bee and you can cut your own hair. lol It's a gadget you attach to a vacuum cleaner. It pulls your hair out and cuts it off at the length of the guard you use. I got one about 30 years ago and they use to tease me so much at work. I would just use it to trim between hair cuts. I lost it in the flood but I found another one in one of the junk catalogs. The lady that cuts my hair has never said anything but she probably wonders what the heck I do to my hair.

Kathy, if you can find your battery on-line it would probably be a lot cheaper than at a store. There is a battery store in Lafayette that wanted $35 for a battery I needed one time and I found it on-line for about $6. I probably need to look for a new battery for my husband's phone.

I went to Sam's on Saturday and OMG was that aggravating. They put the ladies giving out samples at the end of the aisles and people stand around blocking the aisles. No big plans for the week. It's overcast and looks like it could rain but the radar shows the rain went East of us. I seldom ever remember dreams but I dreamed an RV friend came by in her RV and I decided to follow her when she left. Think I need a trip. lol It looks like the girls had a good time at the GTG.

Frosty is in the window wishing he could go outside. If Harold wouldn't have me committed I would build one of the cages you can put in a window for cats to go out in. I finally took his "cone of shame" off and so far so good. He hasn't scratched his head until it bleeds.

Mickie this is the Moto G EXT. I don't recommend it once you've gotten used to Samsungs. I bought 2 at the same time and DH's has more features than mine does. How is that? Did they just put an older version of the chip in mine? I haven't liked it since I got it.

Martha, I've already ordered the S5 so I'll just go with that. I originally wanted that phone anyway.

Yes, we had fun in IN despite the thunderstorms. Ask Nan about herding cats ;) LOL

I'm switching us from AT&T and iPhones to Consumer Cellular and Andriod phones, in a couple of months. We've only had Apple products for smart phones so this will be a big switch.

I like mine short. It's so easy to care for and I've never been very good at fussing with hair or makeup.

Mickie, I have Consumer Cellular. They don't offer much in the way of android phones. But you can buy an unlocked gsm phone and they will send you the sim card free. I've been pleased with their service, they use AT&T's network. It sometimes takes a long time to get customer service on the phone but once you have them they are very helpful.

Good to know, thanks. One big reason I'm going with them because they use AT&T towers, our condo building is concrete (better for hurricanes) and people with Sprint get zero reception and Verizon is spotty, but I get decent reception if I stay away from interior walls.
