Thanks everyone! It's gotta be one of the strangest birthdays I've had. Our beautiful Stormy the F2 Savannah had been acting a bit off for a couple of days. Last night she pretty much had us up most of the night pacing and running all over the house. Woke us at 06 and Mel discovered she had a ruptured cyst on her bottom. Oh joy! Yep off the the vet on emergency basis at 08. She was put under and had abcess cleaned, teeth cleaned, a small cyst on her neck which was supposed to have a surgeon called in soon as mel was healed, ended up easily removed ( and turned out not to be a tumor but an ingrown hair!!), blood work done, a tooth pulled with a small cavity, and a rabies shot! $1000 later, happy birthday me! She came home and e collar and all we have to watch her like a hawk as she keeps trying to lick. She must wonder what hit her, go in with sore butt and come out with that plus sore neck, sore mouth, and sore shoulder from rabies shot. She just managed to pry our bedroom door open so,I suspect I better go get,her as Mel seems to want to ignore that we were told to confine her. I'm guessing she's going to give the Savannah warble much of night.
It's not all bad. When we got back from vet this morning, Mel told me to lie down and he brought me breakfast in bed. Then tonight at 8 after dust settled he served me a steak dinner that was fabulous. He gave me this really ingenious and beautiful bamboo multi charging station that holds and charges at once up to 7 devices and knows which device,it's charging, how much power to give it amd when it's done and shuts off. My day ended with a beautiful gluten free cupcake and Death by Chocolate ice cream. I mean really, what day could be bad that ends with Death by Chocolate ice cream?!!
So that's my day and I got a nothing done towards packing but that is ok. There are 5 more days.
