Tuesday on the road

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday on the road

Postby Queen » Tue Sep 15, 2015 6:08 am

Good morning all, and for everyone on the road to the gtg (or anywhere), safe travels!

My friend who is in the hospital is looking at a cardiac cath and possibly a stent today, she is only 53! Sure does make a person feel mortal. She's in good spirits but a little scared, hope this is the push she needs to retire and get down here to FL (she and her partner bought the condo two doors down from us). Anyway, if anyone has a few spare good wishes to send to LInda, they'd be appreciated.

Not much doing here today, just a little cleaning and then a grocery run.

Good Morning All, It was a loud night here, Mitzi was just sure there was something dangerous out back and started barking around 1:30 to go outside which of course set the other two off. No way was I letting them out to wake the neighborhood. Got everyone settled and just got back to sleep when she started again. This time I shut the bedroom door so they couldn't go wandering through the house and everyone slept peacefully till morning. Glad to see Sarah and Carol made it to their campground in spite of 'navigation issues'. Ladies, stop by here on your way home and we'll go phone shopping :) :)
I've been wondering about Carolb lately haven't seen her post in some time. Has anyone been in touch? Mickie will be thinking of your friend Linda and hope she is well soon.
I hope the weather will be good for the ladies at the GTG. Looks like much warmer temps coming here for the weekend with possible rain.

Thanks, BJ.

I remember when our older Border Collie would decide to stare at the corner in the bedroom and growl for no reason, scared the crap out of me!! I was always thinking GHOST, but a friend said it was more likely a mouse in the wall or something.

Good Morning Everyone !! Getting ready to roll here, but have a few minutes to say good morning. We're waiting for work and school people to get where they need to be before we get out there. We have no time limits as others do, so no need to get in their way. Oh dear, hear sirens, SP close to hwy 41, I can hear the traffic and really busy out there. We only have a couple hrs drive, so will be an easy day.

Getting excited to see the others today, it should be a fun time. Covered bridges have always been my thing, my DH was a good man, they were all over our home on everything :D and he just helped me find more. He took me to see many of them my first trip to Vermont. I guess you can tell he comes to mind and heart when it comes to covered bridges, he'd be happy I am seeing some in a new area. We've traveled Indiana and Western side as now, but don't remember the area we're going to be in. My grandparents lived a little farther north, so think we just drove up 41 right on by area we're headed too.

Maggie says she needs out again, everyone have a great day,
Stay safe,
CArol :)

Good morning all,

Mickie, saying a prayer for speedy recovery of your friend Linda.

CArol, looking forward to getting together with all my WRV ladies in a couple days. Those of you who are travelling down to Rockville have a safe and happy trip!

BJ sure wish you were coming up to camp with us in Shipshe.

Sometimes they DO see spirits. I know for a fact that my DH's dog is very sensitive to them. He saw one shortly after my Mom passed this year and it couldn't be explained as a mouse in the wall or anything else.

Time to get moving. I'm waiting for the gas station to clear out a little before topping up Angel's tank. Then will come home and turn refrig on and start loading stuff.

Have a good day and everyone take care,
Kathy

Kathy, we never had a mouse issue at the house, but thinking it was a mouse made me sleep easier than thinking my house had ghosts (I'm a huge fraidy cat when it's dark). :D

Queen, sending wishes for a speedy recovery to your friend. It's worrisome being sick.

Thanks Kathy, wish I were coming too especially when I found I could have caravaned part way with Sarah and CArol. I'm still on nurse duty though, I have to change the bandage on DH's head twice a day as it isn't in a place where he could reach it. Even though they took the external stitches out it still hasn't completely healed.
I never though about a Mitzi maybe seeing a ghost!! It wouldn't surprise me though. I think it would be a friendly one though as this house had such a good energy when we moved in. The man who lived here had an addition built off the kitchen with windows all around that are long enough for little dogs to look out. On the other hand, there is all sorts of wildlife around I guess I should go check my figs and see if any are left!

Good morning ladies
good news in my world, somebody snuck into territories they weren't suppose to with the ruse of a tow truck,
friends house and garage are ok from the fire, however the rest is total ash, barn, tack shed, man cave cabin, little
old travel trailer and the property is burnt. Don't know when the repopulation order will come in, part of it has
started in various parts but the containment is still only 37%.
Doctor appt with the gastro doctor this afternoon, gotta get the ball rolling on the colonoscopy.
Had a great time yesterday and can't wait to take another little yak cruise on the lake.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.
oh, I did send off a text to Carolb, hopefully she'll pop in and say hi.

I know, morning is long gone, but I wanted to add that unexplained noises in a house is why you are always supposed to have a cat. If you hear noises or "things that go bump" in the night, you can always say, "It must have been the cat!" Then you won't worry.

I ran out of the limited internet they gave me at my last campground late last night, and I did not want to pay $5 to get more, so I did not post this morning.

Yep, we always have strange noises going on. If we had a ghost we would never know it. Sometimes there will be a loud crash and when I go to see what they did I don't see anything.

I took Harold to get the bump removed from the end of his nose this morning. I didn't go back with him so if there is anything we are suppose to be doing he doesn't know what it is. We have to go back on the 29th, I presume to find out the results of what was cut off.

We stopped in town to eat lunch at Shuck's. They must have been short handed because we had to wait forever to get waited on and longer to get our food. They are usually very fast. Harold is not good at waiting. We both had an oyster Po-Boy. They are still rebuilding my favorite restaurant that burned a few years ago. It has sure taken them a long time to get it going. They had to move the location so hope that doesn't hurt their business. There are some locations that just can't make it.

Mickie your friend Linda has my,thoughts and prayers. I know how terrified I was August of 2014 when I spent the night thinking I might have a heart problem and was in telemetry unit. Thankfully mine turned out to be respiratory but i know that fear. Do tell her she up has a bunch of us thinking of her.
Ghosts? I had some weird experiences at the old Philadelphia Naval hospital that made my skin crawl. Glad it's pretty friendly here ! Looking forward to hearing and seeing news from the gtg.

Thanks for the kind thoughts all, turns out my friend had an 80% blockage in one vessel, they put in a stent so they are saying she should be fine. She's pretty freaked out since she exercises, isn't super heavy, and is only 53.

I'm glad it was found and taken care of. Was watching for an update.
