Good News!!

Postby monik7 » Tue Sep 08, 2015 11:52 pm

I decided to put this in a separate topic from my original post.

I finally got an email from my doctor this evening stating there is no evidence of cancer in either my bone scan or MRI. Apparently they think the lesions noted in the initial x-rays are related to my rheumatoid arthritis and there is the hope that the pain in my hip will improve after the special cortisone injection I was given a week ago. They say that improvement might occur over several weeks.

I want to thank each and everyone of you who offered hugs, prayers and encouraging thoughts over the last week. My fear in mentioning it before getting the diagnosis was whether you would be upset if I caused undue concern when none was needed. I'm glad I chose to let you know because I don't know how I would have gotten through the last week without your kind thoughts and prayers. Thinking about it I know if any of you were in the same situation, I'd want to know so I could offer the same encouragement and prayers to you. So thank you. I'm so relieved. The "c" word is so terrifying making the last week very stressful.

So happy for your good news. It's the not knowing that scares us. My sister has been mis-diagnosed twice from X-rays. She had broken bones and whoever looked at the X-rays said she didn't have a break when she did.

Oh Sandi, what a relief, when that "C" possibility is there, you can't stew about it yourself, and I am so glad you shared too and that we could be of some use to relieve some of the stress. I have been there as have many others here and we know some of what you were going through.

So, now that its out the door, lets pray your pain goes too, where you can enjoy each day more. Each day we all realize more and more is a true Blessing. I am so happy for you that you have this Good News !!!

Have a great day, will keep you on my prayer list for the shot to work for you soon,

CArol :)

Great news on the medical front. Will be hopingthat the shot works to reduce the discomfort. About the DD's recent attitude, again... :? some things you really have no control over either, but don't let her rain on your parade of living life.....and if she tries just keep dancing. :)

Such wonderful news, Sandi! Thank you for sharing the 'scared' part with us so we could send prayers and hugs! Keeping good thoughts that the cortisone shot does its thing. Hugs!

Sandi, I'm doing the happy dance with you. This is truly awesome news.

Now, if we could all knock some sense into your daughter, you know we would.

Oh, Sandi, that's great news! Praise be to God who hears our prayers. And thank you for sharing your burden with this group so we could pray with and for you, and now, rejoice with and for you. Hoping to see you on the road one day.
