Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning ladies!

Got in a super swim yesterday so I'm feeling like a million bucks today! :D

Not much doing on the schedule, just a couple of errands and trying to finish up my application for a county job. Kinda wish I could find something part time instead but Im feeling bad that my poor honey is working full time and I'm not. I guess a better way to look at it is if I work full time, we'll get a camper that much sooner!

Good morning Mickie and all who follow. I have tell you about modern technology at the dentist office. I broke a crown the day before, so yesterday I was in the dentist chair at 8:00 am. I was concerned because I am leaving for my trip to the Southwest next weekend and needed a new tooth. No problem. Old crown removed, a very small camera took endless images of the empty space and with CAD technology she created my tooth. I heard some whirring and whining as the milling machine made the tooth which was purple at first. The tooth was custom fitted to my jar and then was taken out to bake for a few minutes. Voila, a beautiful tooth that perfectly matched my real teeth was cemented into my jaw and I was good to go. It took a total of two hours. Amazing don't you think? Peggy

Mornin' Mickie & Peggy and all who follow.

Mickie if you keep up all this weight loss & activities, you're going to whittle down to nuthin!

How interesting about your trip to the dentist Peggy. I think mine is still living in the 80's. Probably because he's going to retire soon.

Not much else. Have a good day ladies & stay safe on the road.

Cheryl - LOL, that might happen... if I keep it up for a few years!

Peggy, that is so cool, like Cheryl's dentist, mine is stuck in the 80's. I love her to death, but there is zero tech in her office.

Mornin' Ya'll

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate this laptop? Had a nice long post and it poofed it.

I've been working in the barn and out on the electric fence because this time of year the oak tree in my paddock drops tons of acorns. Acorns are VERY BAD for horses to eat and unfortunately mine think they are the tastiest treat ever. So every year in August the electric fence goes up. For a while I don't need to electrify it but at some point the begin to try to go under the wire. So today was walk the fence and clear out anything that could make it short out and fire it up. Just now I see that one of the horses found out the fence is live! Hoo boy did he move! It sounds mean, I know, to shock them but the alternative is a very bad lookout with possible death if they get into and eat too many acorns.

This afternoon will be Pony washing day. I'm going to wait til afternoon when I can pull the truck into the front yard and have shade to work in. Won't mind getting all wet today!

Washing my horses' winter blankets this morning. I used the pressure washer to get most of the muck and hair off them then let them dry (wet blankets weigh a ton!). Thankfully I have a super large washer that can accommodate big blankets and quilts. I have one done and hanging on the fence to dry in the sun already. The second needs another wash then it too will join it's pal on the fence to dry.

Heading out in a bit to start my dog walks early. Yesterday was bad enough and I had to shorten them. I can't keep dogs outside in this heat longer than enough time to do their business. Too hard on them and me both.

That's about all the news from here, everyone take care,
Kathy

Don't know why I didn't think of this before, but I used to have poof problems with my old laptop. It might not be the laptop, but static could be the culprit. There are a few things on the market that could help. I had the grounding mat.

good morning ladies
not much going on lately in my world, well, except the big storm we had. That was exciting but lots of folks had
damage, not me. One of our drivers at work had an accident yesterday, she got broken ribs and the bus got totaled.
Not her fault, some idiot thought he was going to make a quick left turn in front of her. Glad there were no kids on
the bus. Got my doctor appt set up to begin the colonoscopy thing. First is the consult then we'll make the scope
appt. Thats all the news I've got. I think its time for a little one hour nap. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

I went back to a dentist without all the fancy stuff after I was charged an arm and a leg and maybe most of my torso for a full mouth xray. It was ludicrous. So, it all depends on what the cost is to get that tooth in a couple hours. That said, time is important too, and yes, it is very cool.

And with all that, when I needed blood work done, my doctors office, which can do it, told me that some insurance companies aren't paying for blood work drawn in doctor's offices, so to be safe, he sent me to LabCorp. I must admit, I was in and out in just a couple minutes. They told me that BCBS up here started that a few years ago because doctor's charge twice as much (or more) for the same tests. And the hospital where I'd get blood work done in AZ is now saying to get doctor's orders and go to LabCorp (or another similar place).

On my laptop I had to disable the pad for it to have things not disappear - it's enabled again now and occasionally, a wrong twitch will send thing's off to hinterland.

11:56 - sending while it's still morning here.

Cheryl, will that pad stop my laptop from changing the sizes of things if I move the wrong way? This is my first laptop and honestly I don't like it much.

Honestly, I think you need to find the right settings and lock it to stop those things from happening. That was one of my first complaints when I first got a laptop - can't remember where the settings are - have had many laptops since, and all are a little different ..

Kathy ~ what Beth said, but it may help. I know sometimes if things seemed staticy (if that's a word) just hovering my finger over something would minimize or shrink window. Worth a shot. You could always return it. Can't remember, did you buy a Mac or Windows?
