What? It's Thursday, isn't it?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

What? It's Thursday, isn't it?

OK, so where is everyone? This group is getting later and later. OK, I will make a quick post and hope no one else is posting at the same time.

I got a spot last night with electric and water, so I had a cool, even chilly night, and slept SO much better than I did in the heat the previous two nights. Trying to get an appointment to get my trigger fingers fixed, but hard to do when you are traveling. Unfortunately, an urgent care center cannot deal with this, so not sure what my next step will be. I think I will need to rearrange my schedule a bit so I can see the one person 140 miles away who will see me next week. Hate to do that but this finger and thumb hurt like crazy!

Good Morning !! Gosh, Judy, you sound like me this morning, I had to check my phone for date and day, before I crawled out of bed, thought it was Wednesday
First morning we've woke up to no rain in this area, but did enough during the night. Sun is out and it seems kind of muggy out there, but temp isn't supposed to get very high at all, maybe 81 or so.

I usually am always thinking someone will post same time as I do and therefore brain won't think of a thing to write so most mornings I don't try :D But keep checking to see who and when someone else might. Always glad to see when someone has. I loved your title for MC thread this morning, fit right in with my first thoughts of the day .

Have been thinking of Beth and hoping everything went well for her and she can eat now :D

Getting quite a bit accomplished here but list to do is still very long, and of course as some are checked off, more are added, but then that has always been. I keep counting the days before GTG, as I'm about ready for a get-a-way ;) Taking more breaks between chores here and that's a sign I need a change.

Wishing you all a really good day, hope weather is getting nicer wherever you are. Am concerned about those out west in those fires, that situation is really bad. Lives lost, homes destroyed and acres of forest gone, so awful !! That comment I 'm sure has just messed up my wish for a good day for you all, sorry. but try

Stay safe, whatever and wherever you are or doing,
CArol :)

Morning all!

Just got done with water aerobics, such a nice group, I really enjoy chatting with them.

I'm going to have to dial back my swimming a bit as my shoulders are starting to ache. I so love my time in the water, hopefully three times a week will work.

Anyone have any big weekend plans? Think we're going to the beach and then just relaxing, might get motivated to scrub floors but you never know. :D

I think it's Thursday, this week just keeps marching on. Yesterday we got 4 1/2 inches of rain and 1 inch the day before. The pasture behind the house was a small pond but that drains off fast. I hate to see that much flowing water because it gets the alligators moving and I don't want them in the ponds. Last night I went to get the mail I left on the carport and there was a big light show going on West of us. I was hoping it would miss us but a couple of hours later the thunder was making the house shake. I thought for sure the lights were going off but they didn't. Today the radar shows the rain just West of us and all the way to Houston. The temperature is only 79 but we don't need any more rain.

I am so ready to go somewhere but my Grandson will be here until Tuesday. Maybe after he goes home I might go see my sister. She had knee surgery a week ago. Every time I talked to her she was in a lot of pain. I called last night and she had gone to bingo so guess she is feeling better. My reply to going to bingo is somebody just shoot me. The club I belong to has been having 2 cake bingos a year to raise funds for the club. Someone suggested that if everyone would donate $30 we wouldn't have to have the bingos. My neighbor said she wasn't giving them $30. I said that I would gladly give $30 if I didn't have to make cakes and work the bingo.

Harold's friend that has been coming for lunch on Sundays called to tell me he was binging me some stuffed chickens. I wasn't planning on going anywhere but since I can't leave I want to. I noticed that a new specialty meat market had opened in Abbeville. The one that is 20 miles from here is so good that a new meat market will have trouble competing with them. Several have tried and not made it.

I would like to go to water aerobics but I know I wouldn't drive to town to attend. Where I went to college there was an indoor heated swimming pool and I would swim laps several times a week. Three of my PE's were swimming and life saving. I haven't really tried to do much swimming since I broke my shoulder so don't know how I would get along with that.

Try these yoga exercise for your shoulders. This is one of my instructors and she is really good. Hope they help.

Thanks, but it's not that they're tight, it's that I tore my rotator cuffs in both shoulders when I was younger. They work fine but if I overdo it the become very painful in the places hwere the tears are, kinda like being stabbed... so I try to avoid that particular sensation.

Well, better late than never, I say.

Thought for a minute about starting the Coffee this a.m., was going to call it "Hay Day Thursday" as my hay men finally showed up with my first load. Now hay shed is full and they say they will bring more over the weekend. Sure hope they bring their elevator as the rest goes up into the loft.

Gas price at the Shell by the local Jewel's dropped to $3.09 so when I got home from work I jumped in Angel and took her over to gas up. AY YI YI! But I think (if I've figured it out correctly) she's getting 11 mpg. Amazing! Pony only gets about 12 and she's a pick up!

Very sad news about Kathleen's Shadow. Now he is resting peacefully. I know her heart is broken and so is mine. I am so very glad I got to see my little Shadow Pup one last time.

Still planning on heading down to my club but have also considered K3 State Park. Will have to give it a thinkover.

Went to a garage sale on my way home from work; picked up a nice set of pretty sheets and a pair of insulated bib coveralls. Sad to be thinking of winter around the corner but with the weather as crazy as it's been this year, I have a feeling it's coming sooner than we think

Take care everyone,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.
