Thursday already

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday already

Postby MelissaD » Thu Aug 13, 2015 8:17 am

Well I just realized no one has opened morning coffee and since I am actually up enjoying a cup of coffee, I'll do the honors.

Well the GB started pre-K this week so the house is quiet :D She's pretty excited about going to school so we'll see how long that lasts.

I have coffee and beagles so enjoy.

No beagles here, just coffee.

I've been doing a week of letting my beloved decide what I eat, how much I exercise, and what I should do extra (meditate, read, journal). She's a great motivator and I feel wonderful, won't check my weight until Friday but can feel there's been a positive change already. Yay!

Good Morning !! I caught that too, Mitch, she just hadn't had enough coffee yet, but I visualized too  :D My coffee is all gone here, and no treats, sorry. It is a beautiful morning outside though, felt wonderful and temps have really been nice here this summer. I'm glad that I was made even under not good circumstances to come back home, as this is really the best place to spend hot summer months. Our storms, have not been anything like elsewhere either, only a couple of afternoons with thunder and lightening that I really am not fond of. Our house years ago was hit by lightening and once you go through something like that, you tend to not like the loud noises of storms.

I shouldn't be setting here, but had to see what was happening and found Melissa had started morning thread with a chuckle so decided to wish everyone a great day. I need to made a trash run and pick up food for Maggie and then this afternoon have a visit with a friend who is up from Fl in her place here. It would be nice if I got the vacuum run through main part of house at least. Had to get a new vacuum and seems heavier to use then other , which was a canister type that I really wasn't fond of, I pulled that thing into my heels many times through all the years I had it and it always hurt :o

Guess Sue is off on her couple days in CG, which she was looking forward too, boy, I would love to take off too, but it won't be long, so I just keep trying to sort and throw here, will haul more off when making trash run today.

Enjoy your day, no matter what it holds its a special one, we all woke up this morning !!
Stay safe,
CArol :)

Interesting choice of breakfast foods there, Melissa! Here, it was just plain ol' coffee and cereal.

Not much new, just still getting things situated for big party on Saturday. Trying to think of what has to be done and when I should do it. Don't want to clean my floors too soon and then have to do them all over again because the dogs dragged something in.

I tried to get into my online banking this morning, to transfer funds from one account to my checking so I can pay a bill--no luck! All I get is that little wheelie dealie that goes round and round endlessly. Guess that means an actual trip to my bank is in order today. Good thing my client's house is a block from my bank; will kill two birds with one stone.

Last night was so pleasant here I wanted to go out and sleep in Angel. Well since I moved her to accomodate the hay wagon she's now sitting at an angle. I kept rolling out of bed! LOL I finally gave up and came back inside to sleep. I could just picture me waking up on the floor!

That's about all from here, have a great day and take care,
Kathy

Good Morning
Thanks for the chuckle regarding the beagle conversation. Temps here in middle TN are very pleasant for Aug. I should be getting some yard work done but instead I am on my 3rd cup of coffee and researching tow vehicles and places to go rving close to home for a trip in the fall.

I usually don't have time to post here, but the beagles thing made me laugh. I think Ms. Tilly would take exception to your comment, Melissa. ;)

I had my first dream/nightmare about starting school last night. I must be getting old -- usually they start 2-3 weeks before school starts, but this year it was only 2 days. Teachers go back tomorrow & kids start next Tuesday ... sigh.

This may be my last year in the classroom. I haven't decided yet, and may not until after Christmas vacation. Lots of variables to weigh, and frankly, I feel too young to be making these kinds of decisions. Hopefully I'll know when the time is right, and the decision will be easy.

But I'm off to school today to see what's been going on while I've been away. My room is set up (did that 2 weeks ago), but there's been a big building project going on, and the contractors were going to build 2 raised gardening beds for me. It'll be exciting to see those ready for the kids.

Everyone have a good day!

It is lovely and cool here today too, just wish it would last. CArol maybe all of us who wish we could be someplace cooler in the summer should come stay with you! Kathy try later in the day to do your banking. I've been having the same problem since our bank 'improved' their online system. I called to ask why I couldn't log in most of the time now they said, try later in the day the system is busy updating in the morning. I hope they didn't spend a lot of $$ on their so called upgrade!! Laura Ms Tilly is so cute! I loved hearing your school has raised gardening beds!! Too bad all schools don't have them. Queen keep up the good work and listen to your 'coach'!
Guess I need to get busy here, DH is back from the gym and the dogs are telling me it is time for their breakfast.

Good morning to all!

Drinking coffee but I don't have any bagels or beagles to toast! So nice to see all of you posting! Just envying all of you with the cooler temps and gorgeous weather. It is still much too hot here in Florida but as the saying goes 'It is what it is' and it is hot! But this is the choice that we made in order to stay connected with Terri's established cancer support group and we do not want to rock that boat!!

We would like to go camping at one of our shadier campground even in this heat but the RV is back at the dealer's again. They have ordered a new house master battery switch (number 3) so we can hope that this one will work!!!

I have looked for some of you ladies on FaceBook but to no avail but then who has much luck on FaceBook, although I have lucked out and connected with with some long lost college friends and Navy buddies which has been awesome! It does have some redeeming qualities!

Safe travels and God's blessing on all of you!

Bonnie

I seldom have nightmares about teaching anymore but now that I am retired from my regular job, I have nightmares about having to go back to work!!! Prefer retirement and part-time teaching and to real working.

Waiting to get water filter replaced and tires checked. Tried to get water filter unscrewed but was afraid to break it so brought it to dealer.

Some of this auto-correct makes us have to decipher what someone is trying to say. Some of the posts on Facebook are really funny. I am bad about not proof reading my posts. There are several words I seem to mistype all the time.

Bonnie, some of us are in a Facebook group called Women Who RV. I think that's the name of it. If anyone is from Louisiana or near by there is a Facebook group called Louisiana Belles. They are trying to have a campout every month. This weekend some are going to Chicot State Park near Ville Platte. I'm not leaving while my grandson is here and he doesn't want to go camping. I have camped with them several times and we always have fun.

I had to go reset my online baking account because I hadn't logged in often enough. The lady that was helping me told me I should log in weekly. I told her we were wasting our time if I had to do it weekly. One of the ladies I use to work with told me that it's really 3 months. I am going to try to remember to log in the first of every month. Right after I say "Rabbits".

Laura, it's so nice that you teach your students to garden. Kids are more interested in eating vegetables if they have helped grow them.

It hasn't made it to 90 yet but it's suppose to be 95 today. Better than a 100 but not much.

Between toasted beagles and Kathy falling out of bed, you have me giggling this morning. This weekend we're going with friends to Spring Green, for the American Players Theater, where we'll see Merry Wives of Windsor Friday night and Othello Saturday night. Saturday daytime we'll be at Wollersheim Winery as they unveil their distillery with brandy samples all around. Then Tuesday, off to the Lake (James, in Angola, Indiana) for a few days before I fly out to Seattle to be housewife for 10 days for my niece, as I mentioned before. I'll keep watching the forum for more giggles to start my days.

good morning ladies
most of you already know but not everyone is on fb so I'll tell ya's here, I'm once again cancer free. This one was smaller
than the one last year mostly because I caught it so early before it had time to grow. Squamous grows fast so we do keep
our eyes open for these.
Finally a normal day at school, although we're still having a few interesting moments and conflicts. It will eventually
settle down but in the meantime I think I need to stock up on wine. This is going to be a challenging year.
Maggies having some issues with allergies, need to get to the store and get her some benedryl. Washing her eyes with
a little eye wash helps and seems to give her some immediate relief but when she rolls on the rub she purposely includes
rubbing the corner of her one eye. Makes me hurt and makes me feel bad as well.
Haven't done a whole lot lately in the cleaning house dept, and now its getting on my nerves, gonna have to do something
about that too. Actually, its driving me nuts!! Yep, stocking up on some wine is a good idea. Think I'll go for a box this
time and forget the bottle.
Gonna stop now, its all adding to my anxiety, gonna go get a nap and start over.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.
