Wednesday countdown day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday countdown day

Postby gingerK » Wed Aug 12, 2015 6:45 am

Good morning gals,
Had a disturbing dream last night and didn't sleep well after that. Heard DH get up with the dogs so figured I'd get up early too, as I wasn't sleeping and just laying in bed wasn't working for me.

Thinking about Ava this morning and hoping all will be well with her today, that the surgery will go quickly and smoothly and have an excellent outcome.

Counting down to party day; so many things to get done! Yesterday I did a bit more shopping for party food. Today I will wash down the tables and start cleaning house.

Weather is nice today, 80 degrees with low humidity so I turned off my ac and opened the windows. I've been thinking about getting a dehumidifier for my utility room. The floor is concrete and it "sweats" in one particular corner when the ac isn't on.

About all from here this morning, take care,
Kathy

Morning, Kathy!

Sorry you had a cruddy dream, really don't enjoy the aftermath of those.

Hoping Ava's surgery goes well, smooth and painless!

A gorgeous morning here, sunny but not too hot yet. The only dark spot for me today is heading over to hospice in a bit to visit my moms remaining best friend, she's 93 and had a stroke last Thursday, she isn't expected to live much longer. Can't believe we were out for lunch and cocktails just two weeks ago; I will miss her so much.

Mickie, so very sorry to hear about your Mom's friend. What a nice memory to have that you were just out for a nice time with her recently.

Morning all
I have attempted to post here a couple of times this week and the site kept telling me a general error. So hopefully it will let me today. We have not been out in the rv as much as we wanted this summer as we have had a few bumps in the road to take care of . Hopefully we will get to take a trip this fall when youngest dau is in fall break. We are starting to research buying a toad. Beth was kind enough to email me some back issues of Motorhome. Even with all that it still seems a bit daunting. .
Don't worry if plan A fails there are 25 more letters in the alphabet.

Donna, remind me to park near you if I ever have any rig or car issues. :) Have a great time finding sweet corn and other adventurous "stuff." Will keep everyone in my thoughts today as they move through the road ahead of them, what ever and where ever that road may be......

Morning all. Sunny here too and low 90's projected. I could be happy with low 90's but by weekend it's supposed to be 100 again! Ugh. Fire still growing 100 miles west of us so smoke possible and my lungs protest so I try to mostly stay in AC. Dr visit yesterday for Mel and got lots of explanation. Seems surgery is inevitable as the only choice for this spread to lymph nodes as radiation and chemo don't work well, but we are being set up for a 135 mile trip to Stanford Medical Center for a second opinion if they can see us soon. The doctors and tumor board say this becomes agressive when it reaches lymph nodes so needs to be removed as quick as possible. Like within 2 months. Waiting on phone call about the second opinion. I thought we would get grief over getting a second opinion but the doctor was very agreeable about it and they are calling Stanford for us. It is a very rare tumor type so Stanford should be interested. I don't look forward to the drive into the very busy San Francisco Bay area and south to Stanford but we will be interested in what they say.
Today is Curves, which helps me keep a grasp on my sanity, such as it is. Have a good day all.
