Sunday, funday!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday, funday!!

Postby Queen » Sun Aug 09, 2015 5:58 am

Morning all!!

So nice to be home! We just got back from a week "back home" in IL, it was wonderful to see friends and familiar places but traveling by flying and staying in hotels just wears me out... is it better in a camper??

Today will be laundry and relaxing, and if the weather cooperates, a nice long dip in the pool.

Hope everyone else is doing great today!

good morning ladies
wish I could say it was going to be a sunday funday but its just going to be a sunday. My day of relaxation and no chores.
Except for dishes of course. There is nothing for me to share, just that I'm alive and well.
Ya'll have a great day, be safe.

Good Morning Everyone !!! Ava, you did share the most important thing for all of us, the fact that you "are alive and well". Hope you have a relaxing Sunday !!

Queen, yes I think it is easier traveling by RV. Trying to pack for a trip and then getting somewhere with all I need without having to haul so much around and then sleeping in strange beds, the thought wears me out. Where most of the time I have most of what I need in the RV, except for Frig stuff and I just get in and go and each night just crawl in my own bed and sleep very well, no matter where I might be. In my book, there is a huge difference.

Not much news from here this morning either, actually Ava's comment is what got me to even post. Its very important to hear from each of you from time to time or there are some of us who will begin to worry or be concerned. Then we start trying to figure out how or who might know how to get a hold of you. So Ava, you told us all a lot !!!

Pat, so excited for you, Retirement !!! Yay !!! of course the time will seem to go very slow for you, whereas it will fly by for the rest of us. :D Just hang in there you are really getting close now !!

Well, on with my day here, might be some lazy in it, at least by afternoon :D Hope you all have a great Sunday, relaxing, playing whatever you choose,
Stay Safe,
CArol :)

Good morning to everyone. Been a busy few days for me. Had to drive down toward Pittsburgh to attend my SIL's 99 year old mother's funeral on Friday. She was quite a lady and loved her bingo games! Other than that just trying to get stuff done around here. Grange Fair is coming up fast and I'll probably be there most afternoons and evenings. A fun time to sit by my friend's tent and see people I haven't seen since last year! So I'm trying to get ahead of chores here at home so I don't get so far behind during the fair! Hard to believe summer is almost over! I also spent time last week working with my son getting the footers set up in preparation for the cement pour the other day. I was there for the start of it but luckily he had lots of help so I left right after they started! So that was progress! Although we need some rain for the plants and yard not having it has given him an advantage of getting more done on the new house. All the rain we had earlier really threw the timeline off! So on to the next phase...whatever that is! I'm still planning a trip in Sept so hope it can happen! Real life sometimes has a way of putting off plans but I'm hopeful! Mickie, I think traveling in the rv is so much easier then flying and staying in motels. I have my stuff and my own bed and food! Well, I'd better get busy and start getting to those chores! I was so much more organized when I was working! Now it's so easy to just put it off until later! Have a great day and travel safe.

Mornin' Ladies~~~
Nice to visit family & friends Mickie, but maybe not so much fun for Mary since it was a work trip.

Yes Ava, your comment about being alive & well is good to always hear (ditto what CArol said). Reminded me of my grandmother who said that "anyday is a good day if I wake up".

And also as CArol mentioned, it is nice if the sistah's check in every now and then. Glad that Kathleen is settling in to her new condo, but has anyone heard from Sarah? I've been thinking about her and wondering why she has been AWOL. Hoping she & her nieces are OK.

Well of to do the weekly grocery shopping and a few other chores.

Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the roads.

Good Morning everyone... there were three people that had cash in hand to buy my mobile home yesterday so I picked the one that would be the best fit for my wonderful former neighbors... now my daughter has cash in her safe... now the motor home needs to be sold...
My Shadow is not well at all.. I have an appointment at the vet tomorrow morning...
I am so weary I cannot move...
Have a good day...

Good Morning to All - it is still morning here in Vegas just about to turn 8 o'clock. It was a little cooler here yesterday and last night. Amazing how much easier it is to sleep when it is cooler. Went by the house yesterday and the carpet was in, the laundry room sink was in and the rest of the flooring was being finished. Sure glad because our purchased deliveries start to arrive tomorrow. So guess we'll be spending most of the day over there.
Our livingroom furniture is supposed to come in the morning. Don't know what time the rest of the stuff will show up yet.
I have some really good Mexican coffee brewed and some marble pound cake if you're hungry.

Hoping that Shadow's Issues are resolvable and your worries lightened soon. Is he still eating and drinking a little? And now tell folks another reason you are tired this morning. :) Something about entertaining guests for hours and hours.

Kathleen even called mall security to get me permission for me park in the back of the Kohl's parking lot only about a block and a half from her condo. Kathleen is good.

Thank you so much for dinner and making time for a visit. I know thinks are hectic when you move. Ladies, another spot to put on you map as you criss cross the country. Bloomington, IL!

I made it across MN and visited my cousin in Madison, WI and spent last night with Kathleen. Today is the final leg towards home. It has been raining all morning and I really need to hook up the car and take these three (currently) wet dogs back to Ohio. Pictures may follow.....

I was going to go out to do some more sightseeing today, but decided to stay put and get some work done, plus just plain relax. I have been driving or sightseeing every day for the last few days, so I really need a day of rest. No satellite here, and am struggling with campground's strange cable. Hard to remember what is on where and no guide at all. Nothing like having to rough it!

Good morning everyone.
Tina, still on the road - wow! Ava, relaxation & no chores sound good to me :D , Kathleen, hope Shadow is ok & you get some rest, Carol, love following your adventures of moving to Vegas - looks like you'll be in the house soon, Sharon, getting a new place too - looks really nice.

I've returned from visiting my sweet new grand baby, Olivia. We had my granddaughter's wedding on Friday so hopefully I can now focus on learning what I need to know at the office as I prepare to work remotely. Gaby's french boyfriend came to KS for the wedding & met the entire family. We all approve & I don't think we scared him away - yet. Very sweet kid, easy-going, smart & cute to boot. :D We'll see how that goes - but at least I dont' have to tell her to break it off.

Well, I've still got a full house of folks here & the movie they're watching is about over so I'd better get moving.

Wishing for safe travels & adventures to everyone.

Wow is right for Tina's trip. She has really been to a lot of places. And when she gets home she will be off again.

It's so much easier for me to travel in my motorhome. There is usually enough clothes and canned food in there that I could get in and leave for a month. Staying in a motel makes me nervous going from the car to the room. Over the years there have been a couple of campgrounds I didn't like the looks of so I just kept going down the road. I don't remember ever being nervous at a campground. I have my bed, kitchen and bathroom with me so I can stop just about anywhere and be comfortable.

Harold invited one of his friends for lunch. I don't cook much during the week but always cook lunch on Sunday. I made Liz's Cranberry Chicken and it looks like everyone liked it. I never know what my grandson will eat. We can't get much down him for a few days and then one day you can't fill him up. I made Red Lobster biscuits and dressing. I don't think his mother ever makes dressing and he loves it.

I feel for the ones that have moved and are trying to get anything done. I don't know why the contractors can't show up when they say or at least call. It seems like most of them can't plan very well. My son is trying to build a small deck with steps for the trailer but it's 100 degrees outside so he can't work very long. He is cutting the lumber on the carport. When he gets ready to put it together I will have to go in the motorhome so he will have electricity. That hasn't been hooked up yet. Just hope the generator will run. They usually work or don't work depending on how much you need them.

Donna, sounds like you and Nan had fun at the 15 mile yard sale. They have something like that North of Lafayette every year but I have never been. I told my sister that I needed to take her on the one that starts in Alabama and goes North for 350 miles. I'm afraid we won't make that because she has too much knee trouble. I'm like Nan, I mostly buy things to eat. I gave up on sewing and crafts.

Pat, you will be retired before you know it. I was so wound up from all the work closing down the office for a year and a half that I was cleaning and walking when I retired. Someone needs to wind me up again.

I have seen Sarah post on Facebook the last couple of days so I think she is ok.

Not sure if I posted on here or just on FB, but I sold the camper on Friday! Yay! Used the money to pay down my Jeep loan so now I am no longer upside-down on that and can sell it soon and get what I really want!

Also, the studio apartment is almost finished, finally! I am making peace with the horrid "prison cell gray" color scheme in there. I am going to decorate with a lot of color to make it less noticable. Did some on-line shopping today for things I will need in there. Lots of storage, especially for the bathroom!

Got a great deal on Photobucket last week and got 3 of my better photographs that I took in CA blown up and printed on canvas for my new place. Got 78% off the regular price on them and they turned out great!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
