TGIF (real original huh?)

Mornin' Ladies!

How is everyone this A.M.? Bright & sunny here in the Chitown burbs. Looks like Sue got back home OK, Anita's heading to wander some of MN with Leroy and Alice got some bad news (I'm praying this is the last time), Kathy is camping with her friend and the (Holiday Rambler?) group.

Got the map in the mail yesterday for the Covered Bridge GTG looks like wandering around will be fun.

So not much else but a have a good day and stay safe on the roads.

Morning Cheryl,

Yep, that map of the covered bridges looks iike fun indeed. Lots to see and stop for. Sounds like you are up and at em already this morning and raring to go. Course its Friday and that means a weekend for you. Just another day for those of us who are retired now, :)

Gonna be in the yard today, weeding and some trimming on the agenda. Those things continue to grow no matter what the weather and seems like the minute you leave, they get into a huge growing spurt  Need to fiish staining the deck sides too, but with rain in forecast, will do later Right now am looking at possible campsites for a short little trip with my trailer for a few days. Probably ust up to the state park about 50 miles north.

Alice, sure hope this is the last of the cancer stuff you have to deal with I too need to get checked as my dermatologist has retired and need to find a new one. Don't like the other one in the office there Anita, have a nice time in MN. It's a pretty state. If you head into the U.P. by chance, let me know, might be able to have a GTG with you. Am considering going up there after 24 of this month.

So glad to see CArol finally got her reservation for the Shipshewana GTG. Bit hard getting a hold of the campground down there as they are so busy Soon as Eileen confirms her and hubby, then will have one site left. Gonna be fun.

Time to get moving around here Outside is calling. Best to do some of it in early morning before sun gets too warm although with clouds coming in, wont matter today. Have a nice day and a great weekend everyone :)

Good Morning from Winona, Minnesota and the Mississippi River!

TGIF indeed! It has been a week of things gone wrong! I have no 12 volt power to my trailer/camper connector. Not a fuse. Now thinking that is connected to my backup camera quitting! Poor LeRoy crawled around underneath and can't find the issue. I'm wondering if there is some residual pack rat damage - maybe a chewed wire that finally broke. I do have brake lights and turn signals on the camper. L will follow me in our travels to his place and we'll take it from there. Grrrrr

Storm overnight and cloudy this morning, but we think we can head out for our ride along the river about 10. Various weather reports aren't helping, but the radar looks good. Of course, we could take L's truck but not as much fun!

Cheryl's post about full-time planning has my brain in a whirl thinking about the next 3 months! Among other things, I may be in Birmingham, Alabama the end of October or first of November. Heading for R&R in Texas after that until mid-January. Hope someone will let me know of GTGs so I can figure them in.

Everyone have a good day and weekend! Safe travels!

Good morning gals!

Had a heavy rain/thunderstorm overnight. Nothing severe tho. Never did get to the county fair yesterday. Mostly just napped and was lazy all day since there was a threat of rain storms all day (that never materialized). I think Anita may have had some storms roll thru her area overnight too.

Got to get out in my kayak the other day again. Paddled out to one of the islands in the bay and wandered around on there for awhile. Perfect calm warm day for kayaking!

Off to work here in a bit. Hope you all have a great day wherever you are! :D

**Anita, you jumped in ahead of me. Hope that storm wasn't too bad last night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning !! Started out rainy this morning, woke me up in fact, to early I have to add, feeling sleepy yet, think a nap might be in order, after I have done enough to warrant one. Have cleaned kitchen, except for floor, and as I didn't amount to as much as I had hoped yesterday, I will have to get back to the foyer area.

Yes, I finally have my reservation and will make other for Rockville when I go out next. Power went out yesterday and was off for several hrs., just enough for me to loose any interest in continuing to clean in here. I have no phone when power is out, but do have an ancient thing that you dial, (remember them? :D ) which I had just plugged in when lady from CG called. 30 mins or less later had my confirmation email. When I turned computer back on later , there it was. Thought she had said would be a couple of days before I got it. Guess my hearing is bad or she did it right away.

Need to get busy, I seem to say that a lot lately and if you saw this place, you'd wonder what in the world I got busy at

You all have a nice day, Please Stay safe,
CArol :)
Couple of you snuck in on me, Anita, sorry to hear you have a mystery problem, not finding answers right off is frustrating. Barbie, wandering around on that island sounded interesting, how big of an area is it?? My first thought after living in Fl. for over 50 yrs. was snakes there, they would be on an island off of Fl coast, I'm sure. Glad you had a restful day, we all need them at times.

Hello Hello everyone! I am in my new condo and getting settled in always more to do! I had a looker at my mobile home yesterday and have another tomorrow around 10:30... the manager of the park said it should go this month! That would be a load off my mind...
Cheryl how long until retirement? Hope you can come visit for a weekend soon... then to our early thanksgiving in October also! No exact date yet but near the end of that month...
I was more than blessed to have Kathy come last weekend! Wow she is fast and efficient... so much got done... I would have been stuck in neutral not knowing where to begin...
Sue there is always so much to do when we get back from a weekend or a month away... glad I do not have to worry about the outside anymore... my friend Cindy is going to keep up the yard until my mobile home sells...
I still have my MH am trying to sell it... it would be a great one for someone that could replace the roof and check out any other areas that need fixing... from the inside it looks fine...
Barbie, soon you can join everyone on the road! Anita sure hope Leroy finds the problem quickly electrical things are a pain in the tush... CArol don't you remember the saying a man works from sun to sun but a woman work is never done!

Yippee I will have another very welcome visitor Sat... oh how nice that will be Tina!

Well just stopped in to say hello... hoping everyones day is filled with sun and roses...
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Glad all is going well for you at your new place: was thinking about going to help Kathy get you moved, but the time just flew by me. I'm having to plan more than I thought I would with retirement. Still trying to find a rhythm to retirement after 5 months! Either I get a lot done in no time flat, or I get nothing done and days fly by without knowing what happened! Is that normal?
We went to the State Fair yesterday, first day. We've never gone on the first day before, and it was so nice seeing the flower arrangements looking perfect, and the food entries so fresh. And, we got one free admission ticket and a $2 entry with cans of food for Hunger Task Force so I was a cheap date! Funny how when you get in for cheap, you don't feel like you have to stay all day to get your money's worth. We had a great 4 hours, saw what we liked, including pig races and all the animal barns, ate ice cream, and headed home. The weather was perfect, too, high of 75.
Today I'm going to look for a dress to wear to dinner tonight, we're going out with friends to celebrate anniversaries: 37 for us and 34 for them. Hope to find something comfortable since I hardly ever wear skirts/dresses anymore now that I don't have to.
I'm really looking forward to the September GTG and meeting such kind and helpful folks; thanks for making me feel so welcome!
