Beginning to wonder if I'm meant to go to this gtg. I've lost count of how many times I've called to reserve, but at least 5 or 6, and had to leave a message. Got some replies back which I missed and went to voicemail. I tried again today and got a live person who apparently couldn't hear me talking and hung up. When I called again it went to voicemail. If I ever do get through I plan to reserve Sept. 18-24.

Liz, don't know why you can't seem to get through. I don't recall having too much trouble getting the girl on the phone. Hope you get your res. made!

Their phones seem to be in very bad shape this morning -- crackling and echoing on my end, unable to hear on their end. Then they hang up. Will keep trying.

Okay gang, I just talked to the Shipshewana Campground. No problem getting through. The phones are working fine. They said to be sure that you are in a good area for cell service before you call them if you are using a cell phone, , also they are extremely busy, 60 reservations alone yesterday, so they will be glad to return your call if you would please leave them a message and a number to reach you.

If you reserve online, you won't be part of the group, so advice is to call in. I seem to be able to get a hold of them around mid afternoon most of the times I have called. Super heavy duty camping time there right now, so be patient and keep trying.

I just made my reservations for Shipshewana South CG. Arrive on 9/18 and leave on 9/22. I asked about pull through or back-in and she said she thinks all pull throughs were reserved. (Kathy maybe we can caravan on the way back home. Safety in numbers )

I am also OK to take 9/16 & 9/17 for covered bridges (I might sneak in the 9/15 too). So where we staying so I could make reservations there also? I've seen Pokagon State Park, Rockville in Parke County, Covered Bridge Campground (http://www.coveredbridgecampground.com/) mentioned.

Liz & Louise: I got through twice today. Even though the group coordinator was not available, the other lady took my info to reserve a site.

FYI....Shipshewana is home base and main factory of Open Range RV/Heartland RV...we stayed at "South" in 2012 on our way west that year. Got some warranty done then on our Open Range..Open Range offers factory tours, if you'd like...great CG, too...the Open Range Forum holds their GTG there....
