The Drive From Hell

Postby retiredhappy » Sun Mar 29, 2009 7:47 pm

Left Kerrville Saturday morning and got to Silver City Sunday afternoon. I had horrible winds all the way - no let up. I'm exhausted from fighting the wind. There were times I had to slow down to 45 mph so it took me forever. I have a nice site and will post pictures when I get all my stuff put out (think flamingos). It 7pm and think I'll go to bed. Hope the RV doesn't blow over during the night. I'm so tired I probably wouldn't even feel it.

Hey Karen are ya tucked in and cozy with Ben Gay tonight.

I sure do know what it is to be exhausted from driving and fighting the wind. Not to even mention how your back and neck must feel. I swear there were times I thought my arms were gonna fall off.

Hope ya feel better tomorrow and aren't left with any sore muscles.

Karen, hope you slept well, and the wind just rocked you to sleep. If we happen to go by your neck of the woods, we'll check in. Haven't decided on our itinerary yet. Looking forward to pics and how this place works out. carold

So glad you made it okay Karen. I hate just riding in the motorhome when the wind is blowing bad. I can feel The Driver fighting it. Again so glad to have met you, Carole, Beth and Jean. If you're ever up Indiana way in the summer be sure to stop in. We do have parking.

Sure glad you made it okay, Karen. I hate driving in the wind, and usually just stop, but guess you had a deadline? Hope you have a great summer there, be looking for pictures as usual. Must be a neat place, if you've been there before and wanted to go back, so I'm really curious about what its like.

Take care, glad you're safe.

Glad you made it safely. Now, don't let any of those flamingos get blown away. Waiting for pictures when you're rested up.
