Sad Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sad Saturday

Good morning gals,
Sad this morning because of hearing about Donna's pup. Always so very hard to lose a furbaby that we love and is a part of our lives.

Busy today with multiple visits to different pets--hope I don't forget anyone in the process.

Stopped to gas up my car this morning at a station I don't normally use because it's out of my way. Just happened to be out that way so I went there. Gas was pretty cheap, $2.67 gal. An older gentleman walked in to pay for his gas same time I did and on his way back out to his truck commented that the station down the street was $3.09! He asked me how can they cheat people like that? I had no answers for him, just commiserated and shook my head. The station he was talking about is the one I usually go to, so I'm glad I made the effort to hit the out of the way one.

Looks like hot humid weather is heading my way, DH said we should have 90 deg. by Sunday (?). I turned on my ac.

Take care all,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Good Morning !!! Yes, Kathy it is a very sad day. When I think of Maggie, the last time I saw her coming over for me to pet her, such a sweet , loveable little dog. It breaks my heart. I feel so bad for Donna, they were such buddies, she will be lost without her Maggie. So now that I've started the day crying again, best move on and say, I am in a lower climate and already feel a difference. Not a real good difference but a noticeable one. I am laying over at one of my fav CGs, looking at the water and enjoying my coffee. Will leave in the morning, I think, I'm sure not excited about going home. I am planning to join the GTG in Indiana though, and may leave home early to go up and visit some relatives in Mi and of course, Sue :) .

There are some I would like to visit on the way home, but with all of these storms and the fact I need to get more meds and should do it at home, I think I will just travel on usual route and hope its not a bad trip. Really windy traveling in west Kansas yesterday, I was pooped when I got here, had to fight it all the way, at a lower rate of speed of course, so took longer. Supposed to be hot, but Maggie and I, have been out and will go out and see if she cares for a walk, sometimes she doesn't these days. Have to watch her finding the duck poo though as there are a bunch of them here, she may not see or hear, but she sure smells stuff out

Kathy, what is diesel up your way, I've been paying around 2.45 for it , and sounds like reg gas is way more then that. Do I want to head up in that country? hmmm well when I do, what ever is, is !!! But I so appreciate the prices I've paid this trip, been a nice surprise, compared to the 4 dollars of last trip out.

I hope that all of you have some fun plans for today, whatever they are, stay safe,

CArol :)

Good morning, all. I am up and got all the fixings ready to make crepes for my late breakfast. I am not a morning person and hate eating when I first wake up, so breakfast is usually almost lunch. I will make a lot of crepes and freeze them to reheat, which they do very well.

I am happy to have my emergency brake and recliner fixed, but I think I need to take care of my trigger thumb. I have been trying to ignore it, but it is sticking at night and sometimes in the middle of the day and hurts, so I will call nursing hotline on Monday to see if I can get an appointment somewhere for a cortisone shot. I am heading for New England in two weeks, so not much time. Won't be back in Ohio or Michigan until mid-October.

Got my bike battery charged up, so will be going for a bike ride to St. Ignace and down to the lake today.

Good morning (made it with 10 minutes to spare  ).

Since I'm walking a bit better we're going to wander the downtown area a little, there are some really cute shops I've been wanting to check out so today is the day. Heading to the pool later on, then making a nice dinner.
