Wet and still leaky Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet and still leaky Tuesday

Well, good morning all!

Unfortunately my rear window's still leaking. May have to pull the whole thing out and put it back in with new weatherstripping. Sure hope your leaks have not reappeared Donna.
Rain this morning, should be moving out by noon. Will have to get wet though because I still have 2 horses to go and feed. My 5 horses/3 donkeys were done with yesterday but I picked up 2 more for yesterday evening and today. July has turned into a busy month for me with lots of last minute callers.

Not much on my agenda for today. Need to tackle a caulking project around my bathtub (in my house this time!) that is long overdue.

Son heard from structural engineer that his most of his building that is still there is sound enough to rebuild. Now he needs another engineer to draw up plans of what they are going to do so he can submit it to the village for approval. Hopefully the village will realize that allowing him to rebuild without making him jump through a bunch of hoops will be to their benefit; tax money coming in from a business is more than the small amount of real estate taxes he'd pay on the vacant lot if they won't let him rebuild and he knocks everything down.

Good days to everyone on the road or at home, stay safe wherever you are!

Morning Kathy and all,

Darn, sorry you still have a leak Kathy. Hope you can fix it once and for all. Sounds like you are in for a busy July. It's raining here this morning, but moving out. Nice gentle ground soaking rain.

Well, FB opened my account last night, so now am back in business.

Nothing exciting here today, just cleaning house this morning. Too wet outside of course to do anything. Will see what the afternoon brings.

Keeping an eye on State Park reservation system for possible openings next month. See a few popping up. Should have my trailer back by month's end I figure. Couple of Mimi GTG's coming up. Louise (HavingFunNow) tomorrow and JudyJB next week. Always fun getting together with forum sisters. Like I need to tell you that,

Anyway, you all have a nice day.

Morning all!

Kathy, bummer about the leak, hope it gets sorted soon.

We've been looking at lighter weight travel trailers for our future escape, things that would allow us to keep our only vehicle smaller than a full sized truck or van. Been checking out T@G's, T@B's, and Casitas; all have their good points but I'm not sure Im agile enough to handle a teardrop for extended travel. Oh well, its fun looking regardless. :D

Good morning all. Looks like a hot, humid day today with rain this afternoon. Our little town is getting ready for a 5 day festival, street fair, car show and everything in between! And all starting on the main street a block from my house. At least I don't have to look for parking! I'm thinking of putting a garbage can out since every year I have to pick up cups and paper from the people that just drop things on the street and sidewalk area! It's small but it's kinda fun. Donna, looking forward to getting together with you at some point! Maybe we can talk Carolb into joining in. Ava, enjoy your relaxation time, sounds like you deserve it! Boy, did my routine change this morning! I've been getting the newspater for what seems like forever but I stopped it as of today. The rates keep going up and getting less paper. Most of what's in it I hear on the local news the evening before. But still, I'm used to getting it and reading it while I have my coffee! A new routine now, I suppose! So time to get something done. Just got back from a haircut so need to change and get busy. Have a good day and travel safe.

Looking forward to seeing you, Sue. You should check out Aune Osborne Campground in the Sault. Not a state park and certainly not woodsy, but it is a city park and right on the St. Mary's River so you get to watch big ships and little boats going by.

My red welts on my right leg are fading, thankfully. Not itchy anymore. Also, I got a call from the local Ford dealer and they are going to try to take a look at my emergency brake on Thursday. My rig it too tall to get into their service area, but they said they might be able to look at it while it is sitting outside. They are moving into a new place on Monday with a bigger door, so if I have to, I might drive up from St. Ignace, which is only about an hour away. The emergency brake can be pushed all the way down and still not hold the vehicle, which is not good when you are driving 15,000 pounds. At least Michigan and Ontario are fairly level places, so it has not been a big problem yet.

Got almost two weeks of laundry to do today and going to make some beef vegetable soup today. WIll make a big pot and then freeze a lot of it. Yum!
