Sunshine Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jul 02, 2015 7:18 am

Good Morning,

After a cool, cloudy day yesterday, the sunshine is back. Forecast calling for perfect summer weather into foreseeable future. Since today is calling for low 70's, guess I will work on prepping deck and picnic table for new coats of stain or whatever. Also need to tell RV dealer to order parts to repair trailer.

Donna, glad your roof is fixed, hopefully for good now. Wish I could send some of our beautiful weather to those of you with rain, heat, humidity etc. thinking of those in TX with too much water and in CA with not enough.

Guess it's time to get moving here. Fur kid is sleeping and all's quiet here. You all have a nice day :) Anybody hear from CArol lately?

Good morning
I hate this new laptop. Touch one wrong key and poof! everything's gone. Sometimes it does it all on it's own.

Sue, you must have shooed your yesterday's clouds down my way; grey and gloomy here this a.m. But weatherman says it should clear off later. Hope so, as I need to get Angel's rear window recaulked.

Meeting with new client at 4:30 today to see how to do her "chores" and meet her horsey crew.

Putting a pork roast with potatoes in my crockpot for supper so I don't have to think about what to fix when I get home.

That's about it from IL. Have a great day and stay safe everyone.

Good Morning !!! Saw your question Sue, I'm just out where signal comes and goes visiting family. Will be heading back east I'm sorry to say, because my body is not adjusting to elevation. It's in worse shape then my mind wanted to admit. Pnuemonia scarred my lungs, been told that but I'm feeling effects and know now. Am loosing weight which hopefully will help some. Can't lay around a yr and a half and not have your body go to pot at any age but this age it's lethal.

Hoping this will post, never know out here. Have had a good time but breathing better would have made it nicer. Will catch up soon when I have wifi on way home. Won't be a fast trip home, when I'm out of this elevation I hope to have a leisurely and good trip. Just hoping the weather will behave

Had a thought the other day when I had really exerted myself and there was no breeze, can AFib come back on you if your not getting or feel your not getting enough oxygen in ?? I was in a bad state, that's when I knew I had to head east.

Not a happy camper here but I'm ok,
Enjoy your day everyone ,
CArol :)

Beautiful cool but sunny day here in Ontario. Not too happy with campground I am staying at, but it is OK. I am not really using any of the facilities anyway, and as long as I have satellite TV and internet, I am happy. I am headed out today to some local libraries to do some genealogical research--hoping to find the home of my great-grandfather. I know where the cemetery is where they were all buried. Got to get some groceries, also, as the stores were closed yesterday because of Canada Day, although actually it is being celebrated this coming weekend, so no fireworks yet.

In three days, I will head farther north and around the top of Lake Huron to enter the US again at Sault St, Marie, Michigan. Hope to meet up with Sue in about 10 days.

Waking up to a cool morning here - windows open to let in fresh morning air before it turns hot again. I'm disappointed that I cancelled my reservation at 7 Feathers for the Oregon GTG because I was supposed to be in Montana picking up a new RV. After the dealer changed all the terms without consulting me, I backed out of the deal, and now 7 Feathers is completely full. Bummer!

I'm slowly coming to terms with my son's untimely death two months ago, and enjoying happy times with grandchildren. Some days are difficult, but I am so blessed to have my other kids and grandkids. We all tell each other to take one day at a time, and we will be ok.

I'm having Noosa yogurt with blueberries and granola for breakfast. Has anyone had Noosa yogurt? It is amazing. Also, a nice hot soy latte. Yummy! It's a beautiful day.

Travel safely if you're out and about!

Good Morning,

Judi, so sorry you are missing the GTG and about the 'bad' RV dealer. Happy to hear you are enjoying family as you 'adjust'. Carolb, I hope your yard work is more fun than here! Daughter gets us out in the evening to trim and pull weeds. I don't mind that, but it's still too warm! Heat really gets me and long naps follow!! CArol, so sorry to hear the altitude is bothering you! Sue, glad to hear the mosquitos are lessening - hoping that's true in Wisconsin as well. Ava, what a summer you are having!

It is cloudy here this morning and I should be busy, but it is so nice to just sit and have my coffee! Unless something comes up, I will 'stay home' today except maybe for a drive over to visit aunt and uncle later in the day.

As I prepared to leave for the dentist yesterday, Sophie came out from the garage holding something in her hands - please not a frog! She found 2 baby chicks yesterday morning with a hen that prefers to nest where she wants and not in the hen house!

I had planned to leave next week but daughter needs me the 13th. No definite plans along the way to Wisconsin and no real hurry to get there.

Everyone have a great day and safe travels!

Thursdays and Sundays I try to schedule myself off. I still go in to check on things, and make sure the change fund stays replenished, and sometimes run errands most of Thursday for the store ... along with my own ... but today Linda and I talked about taking the 1880 Train ride. We hadn't ever made reservations so yesterday, with all that stock that came from the museum store, I pretty much decided I'd go in for at least a few hours and work on that inventory. Ha, then I got a message from Linda that she booked the train for us. Good for her. I should TAKE my day off and now I am.

For those of you who lose things, you'll be glad to know I just rested my wrist on my laptop and lost a paragraph ... guess it wasn't meant to be in this post ...

Judi, sure wish you could have gotten back into 7 Feathers ... I had my fingers and toes crossed for you when you mentioned trying to do so. And, I'm glad that you are feeling a bit better - not about your son dying, but able to live and have some good days, too. Big hugs to you.

I'm glad to hear mosquitoes are better some places. I think this is my worst year ever for them. The rains/flooding probably are the reason ... but I am lucky in that although they bite me, rarely to the bites bother me for long.

Peaches has been walked, and I just had watermelon for breakfast ... time to relax until it's time to head to the train.

Good morning all. Beth and Linda, enjoy the train ride! Cloudy skies here in No. CA but there hasn't been any rain in the forecast - maybe we will get a nice surprise.
