Wet Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet Wednesday

Good Morning to All from the Alfa. Yes we are out of the house and moved into the Alfa. My car and all our furniture and stuff that isn't being sold is on its way to Nevada. Hopefully our son will garage my car and the furniture will reside in storage for a couple of months.
We moved into the Alfa and the campground late Monday night. Still haven't got things put away, and what is put away I can't find. Surely I send all the coffee with the movers. So about all I can offer is water.
It has continued to rain, rain, rain in this part of Indiana - when it is not raining it is foggy or windy or hot. Right now I can't see the other rigs here it is so foggy. And the ground is so wet that even with blocks under them the levelers are sinking way into the ground. Oh well, didn't want to be level anyway.
Because of things still to do here we'll be here in the Rv for a week or two. Then start towards Vegas, where hopefully we can get everything done paperwork wise and remodeling wise done so we can get moved in by September.
All the rain and wind is not helping Bills breathing at all. Just stirs up the pollen and mold so he really wants to get out of here. But not sure how I'll react to the 110+ temperatures!
I continue to wrote about our days and the fun we are having in the blog if you're interested. Seems like we never moved out of the Alfa - only been home for 2 months tomorrow. Sure will be glad to get settled.
Hope someone somewhere is having nice weather - and safe driving.

We've been having beautiful weather up here in Northern Michigan with exception of drizzly rain or rain showers yesterday afternoon and evening. Cloudy, damp and cool here this morning, but clearing out later with perfect weather for rest of week and the weekend.

Just finished wearing out the lively bundle of fur here. Not easy to do as she's really wound when weather is cool. Now getting ready to run the vac and clean kitchen floor as well. Few errands to run in town later. Otherwise not much doing.

Estimate on trailer damage is around $1400, so waiting estimate approval from insurance company so they can order the parts. No plans to go anywhere anyway. Heard same area where storm hit me got hit again, 72 hours later, so glad I was on down the road.

Carol, hope you get things done, so you can get on the road toward Vegas. BJ, my Dancer never liked it when repairmen or service techs, came in my house either. Ava, have a safe trip to Vancouver. Anita sounds like she's ready to roll in. Sounds like everybody's laying low over the holiday. JudyJB, you seem to be having a nice trip. I'll see you when you get to Hartwick Pines in a couple weeks. Have a nice day everyone.

Carol, I feel for Bill, I couldn't wait to get away from the mold in Illinois! It got to the point where I just stayed inside most of the time. There's no way we could have moved to Florida if we hadn't moved right on the water, the Atlantic breeze keeps the air nice and clean.

Another gorgeous sunny day here! From what the neighbors tell me we need to get our groceries done and settle in for the long weekend, being at the beach things get completely crazy for the 4th so other than wandering down to watch fireworks, it's best to stay home.

Good morning gals! Haven't been on here for a while so have a lot of catching up to do. Been really busy!

Am doing the happy dance this morning!! My camper is fixed!!! He just needed to realign the ratchet that came loose from over-extending the roof. Whew! He is a customer of mine and saved me a ton of money if I would have had to get the mobile RV guy out to fix it. So happy! I got the cushions all recovered and just need to finish up the curtains today. Hopefully, the title will come in the mail today too! Then on to CL to sell! Yay!

Been pretty decent weather here, altho was pretty steamy for a few days but not hot. We had some really nasty storms come thru the past several days but they all just missed my area by a few miles so no damage here. Today is cool, dry and cloudy.

Have to go run my dad around today but am hoping to get a kayak ride in, later on. I finished the cockpit cover for it yesterday which turned out really nice. Will post pics of that along with the camper updates too.

Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning, all, from steamy So.Cal. Don't think the high has been under 100 for weeks! Humidity has been awful. Downpour thunder storm rolled in yesterday and temp dropped 24 degrees, but it was still so humid that sweat just dripped off with every movement. I still have piles and boxes all over my patio and completely covering the dining room table. Rained so hard that everything got wet even under the covered patio. I can't seem to make great decisions on what to keep, what to dump, or where to put if I do keep, or how to dump!! So far, every single place I had designated for each item in Sere doesn't work! Boy, did Flitter have "stuff"! Before any of you say "have a yard sale", I'm not up to that. Been there many times and got my badge of courage. It's too much work, too hard to do in a mobilhome community, and I never make much money.

Carol, I'm so sorry you guys have had all this stress lately. I hope it all clears up soon and you get on your way to Vegas. Aren't these Golden years fun?

Maybe i shouldn't say good morning but, Here's hoping for a better day. Barbie sounds like you have been BUSy! I wondered what you were doing as I missed your posts. Carol so sorry for all the stress you are going through but amazed at all the work you and Bill have been able to accomplished in such a short time!! I hope the rain stops and you can enjoy these last few weeks. I am surprised at your decision to move to LV since you dislike the heat, isn't there some place else where the climate would be cooler but still be ok for Bill? Donna wish you could get that leak fixed so frustrating for you. Sounds like we should all go visit Sue, sounds like she has the best weather. Hope some cool weather comes to everyone where it is so hot. Thinking of you Evie and wish you could wave a magic wand and have everything in place. :)

Good day to all.
It's another happy dance day here. Tree limb and all associated storm debris removed.
Now to find a contractor to replace the porch roof and all structural supports.
What a mess one large tree limb can do.
Getting the 3 guest rooms ready for family visit in 2 weeks. I am so looking forward to this. :D
August trip in the final stages of planning. This one will be without the trailer. Going west again to Alberta. It has become a yearly pilgrimage.
Need to get moving .... driving neighbors to the airport soon.
Have a good day. Be safe as the Holiday craziness approaches.

If only some of that rain could come to Northern California! It was 108 yesterday and same today! I gotta get out soon to get a few things for 4 th. we will stay home and hubby will put pork on the smoker. He loves his pellet grill- preheat, put meat in, insert auto thermometer, then check every few hours to be sure plenty of pellets in bin. Remove when thermometer says done.
Weather dangerously hot and some stuff like Folsom Rrodeo cattle drive cancelled. But of course they are still selling the wimpy safe and sane fireworks. Just praying firefighters can keep up with the fires which happen each year.
Hubby had biopsy of lymph node under jaw yesterday, results in a week.
Not much else happening here.
Hope all are safely camped or home for weekend as,the crazies will be on the road by tomorrow night as well as in campgrounds and neighborhoods. Hug those fur babies tight, they don't understand the craziness.

Carol, I don't think you could get level here either. It's still raining every day. You can almost see the grass grow. Being overcast keeps the temperatures down a little and when it gets to the 90's it rains again. I went to Lafayette yesterday and it was raining off and on. I lucked out and didn't have to use my umbrella. I would go in a store and it would rain while I was there and quit long enough for me to get to my car. I decided I would go to the mall to look for something to wear to my school reunion. I don't know who buys the stuff in the stores now. I finally found one shirt I liked and wasn't $75. I told the clerk that the material keeps getting thinner and the prices keep going up.

Evie, some of the rallies I have been to have a table in the meeting room with a sign that says free to a good home. Or they put a table by their RV with items to give away. Every time you to go to a GTG bring a few things someone with an rv could use.

I drug out my sewing machine and hemmed a pair of Harold's jeans and mended one of my shirts. Harold and our younger son can't seem to buy the right length jeans. My son's girlfriend makes costumes for plays but he has to walk off the excess length unless I can catch him and make him let me hem his jeans.
