Good morning, Donna & all who follow,
Trying to find a pesky leak must be worrisome & frustrating, Donna - hope you can find it soon.
Our rain has let up a little. I actually went 6 days between cutting the grass & it wasn't too bad.
Took a little time out yesterday to drive out to Clinton state park (had to dump my tank) - it was nice for little get-away. Really enjoyed getting out of the house for a bit & enjoying some fresh air with Sadie - only us & the soaring birds. Reconnected to why I have my travelin' van - hope to get to use it more once things settle down.
Thanks to all of you who let the rest of us venture along with you. It's so nice staying up wth your travels & GTGs when time allows.
Well better get moving.. so much to do, so little time.
Safe travels to everyone out there.

Gmorning Donna, Catherine & all to follow :)

Yuk on the leak! Catherine, nice to remember why you got the TRAVELIN van :) Can't believe June is almost over, & you'll be heading to CA soon!

Hey, I'm visiting Irmi in MD!!! That dang girl is still taking a break from the forum (she's on "too many"), but I'm happy to report she, Steve & Teddy are all doing well :) Always a joy to spend time with them--we're making this a tradition for me to visit every summer...

She's at church now, so it's time to catch up with all of you. Ava, Kathy & Martha, hope you have fun trips! Evie, good to see you here & congrats on the PW! I love my class B--so easy to handle, & it does keep me from carrying a lot of useless stuff

Ok, y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good morning! It is supposed to be in the 90s today, which is pretty hot for Portland, Oregon in June. Right now I'm really disappointed because my plans to go to Montana to pick up my new RV have been called off. The dealer emailed papers to docusign, and the terms are not what they quoted me several times on the telephone. In fact, they are so different that I'm astounded. When I called them yesterday the manager said to come on over and "we'll discuss it". I will not drive for two days from Portland to Kalispell to be jerked around. When they sent the financial info a week ago, I was happy with the deal. And I did not misunderstand anything. I guess they thought that once I got there I would agree to the changed terms. I hate to think this, but would this happen to a man? I'll wait until another opportunity comes along.

Meanwhile, it's a great day, even if a bit too hot.

oh Judi, what a crock!!! I, too, wonder if they would treat a man that way. However, maybe they are just crooks to everyone! Sorry about the situation, and, maybe now a better RV will be in your future! Lyn

Hi, all! I am in Tobermory, Ontario, which is on the tip of the Bruce Peninsula. The Bruce Peninsula is a long finger of land that divides northern Lake Huron into two parts--the regular part on the west and the huge Georgian Bay on the east. The result is extremely cold, sparking clear water where you can see the bottom 20+ feet down. There are lots of shipwrecks, mostly from the 1800s around here, so I am going to sign up for a glass-bottom boat tour for tomorrow when it is supposed to be sunny. This is one of the most gorgeous places on the Great Lakes! (I was here 32 years ago with kids and they still remember swimming in deep water and seeing scuba divers beneath us. )

Sat around the campfire last night with three Ontario couples--one of which were full-timers and the other two wannabees. Great conversation. This is a nice woodsy campground, but with very, very narrow roads and sharp turns, and sites that are almost impossible to get in and out of by yourself, so I had asked two people to help me. This place also needs to do a ton of tree trimming because we were all complaining about branches scraping our RVs--not one of our favorite things, since we all had relatively new ones. They need to cut some of the smaller trees down also, and for that reason, I will not be coming back.

So today is a rest day and maybe a short bike ride later in the afternoon to town to make boat reservations. Tomorrow I will do more riding and shopping via bike. Much too hard to take my RV out for sightseeing!

I'll sqeak in with a quick good morning to everyone.
Insurance adjuster coming soon to assess damage from Tuesday's storm. The house was spared, the roof over the deck was impaled. We shall see what he says.
Supposed to have 60hours of no rain in the next few days. MAYBE I can get at least the back deck stained. Keeping my fingers crossed. Not much else going on here.
Judi this is an omen, ... now get thee to the OR GTG.
Have a great day, and safe travels.

Judi, that makes ME mad. I can just imagine how you are feeling. What crooks.

I'm still waiting on the adjuster for my hail damage. One came for another rig yesterday. My insurance company called me on Thursday apologizing - the adjuster who was scheduled to come is unavailable (completely understandable - they told me why) and they are arranging for another. Probably the beginning of this coming week. I'm not going anywhere, so np. Had I been, they would have arranged for me to bring it in.

Last night Linda and I went to the Mt. Rushmore lighting ceremony. It chokes me up every single time.

I made it back from the state park. We had a good time even though it rained some every day. Thursday it rained and the electricity went out so we went to town and ate. Friday we just sat around between the rain. The mosquitoes were bad the first two days so we would set up fans to keep them away. Last night we went to Shucks, one of the seafood restaurants in town. Then we had several rousing games of LCR. Guess we didn't make too much noise because no one complained. During the night it stormed and some said the electricity kept going off but I must have slept through it. We got 2 1/2 inches of rain here at the house. That is such a nice park even though it is in the deep woods and swamps.

Carolb, glad to know Irmi is doing good. I have been wondering about them since I haven't seen her post in a while.

Judi, I wouldn't have driven to pick up the motorhome until the papers were signed either. Now you know to watch them.
