Mornin' Donna and all that follow ~~~

Wish our sunrise was pretty, gray & overcast again and high is the 60's!! I'm not even sure it's June anymore.

I bought a bumper adapter (receiver) http://www.amazon.com/Swagman-RV-2-Bumper-Adaptor/dp/B00174ZHGU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1435320930&sr=8-2&keywords=swagman+hitch+receiver that I need to put on Colt so I can take my bike with me. The spare is moved over, so it's a matter of the rain letting up (sometime!) to get that on. I couldn't decide on a bike rack. I found one that would fit over the the trailer tongue, but decided against it, so went with a usual kind so I can use it on Colt by itself.

Wish it could retire earlier and hit the road. I realized this morning when I left the house, that I have the same thought everyday that I can't wait until the last time I drive away from the house. 38 years at one job has been a blessing but it sure isn't like it used to be.

That's it. Pretty boring huh. Have & good day & stay safe on the roads.

Not all bumpers are rated to support the additional weight of a bike (bouncing and leverage of the rack) can cause fatigue failure. You might have to have a welder "beef up" the bumper.

Getting ready for a work trip. Since it saves the boss money, he's paying for my CG so I can avoid the hotel. I really dislike hotel's. Plus this way we can all go. I love a Win, Win.

Good to know Melissa - any idea how to know the rating of a bumper. It's one I've usually seen on TT's (the 4" square). And what would you consider beefing up? (I love that you're so knowledgeable on this stuff!)

Since yours is a 2015 Cruiser RV Shadow Cruiser 195WBS (if I read correctly ;) ) I'd call the manufacture and ask them what the bumper is rated for and tell them what you would like to do. Protect your warranty and your bike. I think you would be safer if the bike rack mounted to the frame and not the bumper. The adapter you bought looks like a good option, provide the bumper is actually rated to support the load. Many of the bumpers are more cosmetic than actual bumper these days.
