Off I go Thursday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Off I go Thursday!

Postby gingerK » Thu Jun 25, 2015 7:47 am

Good morning all!

I will start the Coffee as I don't think anyone has yet.

Will be leaving shortly after lunchtime for my camping weekend away. Hope to get a spot at the club with electric but if not, oh well. Will also call SIL to ask if we can park at their lot and use their electric if necessary; it used to be our lot until we turned it over to them some years back. We found we just weren't using it enough to justify the cost and the care of it.

Got Angel all packed, just need a few additional things. DH will come home and feed dogs then hook up boat and grab his dog and join me at club. Karen is all set to watch everyone else; I have no doubts about her ability to take care of them perfectly!

I am enjoying Tina's and Liz's blog posts about their travels. Someday I will use all their info to get to go see these things for myself!

If you're traveling, be safe and have fun. If you're home, enjoy your day.

I am up and eating a bagel. Had nightmares last night of having an actual job working in someone's house cooking and raising kids! Horrible. Much nicer to be able to sleep in, enjoy my small home on wheels, and work part-time online!

Went yesterday to the local county museum and heritage center. Instead of the usual little place in an old building, I found a HUGE modern museum and genealogical center, with a café and gift shop and fully staffed and with an enormous parking lot with spots for big rigs. There is also a pioneer village in the compound, which is having its grand opening for the season on Saturday, so I won't miss it. I toured the exhibits and then spent two hours getting help finding things about my father's father's maternal family. I was able to find property records and locations of where they lived in the mid and late-1800s. Very helpful staff as well.

And there is another similar facility for the county next door, where my father's father's paternal family came from, so I will probably go there today or tomorrow. Bit rainy today, so it may be an indoor day.

Good morning! Everyone must be on the road or sleeping in!

I am on my way shortly to go visit my daughter! Yay! Finally! Can't wait to see her again! Been 14 months.

Then I have a customer of mine coming out later to look at the camper and see if he can fix it. Hopefully! The owner of my apartment complex called me yesterday wanting to know when I will be moving the camper (doesn't want it parked here all summer taking up parking spaces). I told him what is going on and he was OK with that.

The hardwood floors are in, in the studio. Very dark, but they cover 2/3's of the apartment floor so that will be less carpet to deal with. Should go pretty quickly now. Cabinets go in next week. Now I need to start going thru stuff in my current apartment and downsize the smaller stuff. Sold the kitchen table and my two recliners already. Hopefully, will be moving by the end of July!

Been spending time with the maintenance guy in our building. He is very nice and we get along very well. However, his ex-girlfriend lives downstairs and he still spends time with her since their kids are friends. I decided that I don't feel comfortable about that situation (three's a crowd, especially in the same building!) so I am not going to pursue a relationship with him. I think he feels the same way. It is just too complicated, even tho we clearly have feelings for each other. Been there, done that, and it never ends well for me. Time to move on...

Have a great day!

I'm still doing a happy dance for the culvert that was put in yesterday at the entrance to our little cg! Very needed and way overdue.

I think, for the most part, I'm going to take my whole day off. But I still might go in for a while and see about defrosting the stores I've cream freezer. Or not. Wanted a sunny day to make a quick job of it, but have a rainy day instead. I might just go back to bed for an hour!

Yay, Barbie, finally! Enjoy your time with her.

good morning ladies
horrible migrain this morning and I'm still recuperating so don't know what the day holds for me. I did study the map
yesterday and see if there was any alternative fun on my way north but budgetwise, looks like I'll need to plan that
excursion for when I have my motorhome, so thats a year away. So much along the coastal highway to see!
Going out to sit on the patio, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Well, got to see my daughter! She sure is growing up! We had a nice conversation and she seemed very happy to see me. She loved her gifts (Horse-opoly and a dolphin water fountain). I will post the pics of us later.

Then my client came over to look at the camper. He got the lift assembly apart but needs to find more info on how it works. He says there is a broken spring for sure but may have other issues. He did get the top down tho, so that was good.

It is only about 78 degrees today but horrendously humid! Need to do laundry and start sewing the curtains for the camper. Want it ready to sell as soon as the lift gets fixed.
