Good morning, Donna!

Another gorgeous day here in sunny Florida, hot but gorgeous. Today is filled with errands, gotta get groceries and run to the bank, maybe a side trip to get the car washed... although that may be a losing battle, I keep washing it but the salty air still coats it every single night.

Good morning all. Crazy weather here, some pretty strong storms came through yesterday and today supposed to be sunny and much cooler with low humidity. Not sure if it'll be dry enough to mow but a good day to pull some weeds out of the flower beds! I have such a heathy crop of them this year! Then cool and rainy the rest of the week but at least there's no snow in the forecast! Judy, glad to see you made it up to Canada okay. I'm waiting to get my passport to come since my niece is up in Toronto and I'm hoping to maybe be able to get there to see her. They bought a boat to live on so hard to know how long they'll be there! Donna, hope you have a relaxing few days in Erie and manage to get your leaky roof fixed! Kathy and Cheryl, how are you doing after the storms? Hope things are settling down in your part of the country. Well, time to get a move on and actually get something done. Have a good day and stay safe if you are on the road.

Good morning from sunny Ontario! Cool nights and day, but that is just the way I like things. Having IKEA crepes and fresh strawberries this morning--the little strawberries that actually taste like strawberries that I bought at the farm field yesterday. Yum.

Headed out to the local history and heritage center. Then, if I have time, I will go to the small town where my great-grandmother was from and find the church where she was married. Hoping the Heritage center can give me more information.

Good Morning, All! Hot, hot, hot here. Paper says 90's but I wonder where their thermometer is located because both of my patio ones show over 100 every day! That only allows me a small window of time to unload Flitter, which I've been doing all week! How, why, did I pack so much stuff!!!! My living room is a disaster area, my patio has a narrow path meandering through all the boxes, crates, etc. and I'M STILL NOT DONE YET!! I won't be able to use a tenth of what I have in my new cute little Pleasure Way. Can't even decide what to keep or what to ditch. Someone remind me again why I'm putting myself through this?

Hope you all have a great day. Those who are traveling drive safely; those in storm areas stay safe.

Mornin' ladies ~

Hope the roof fix goes perfect Donna. Getting that fixed with be one less thing on your plate to deal with.

I know what you mean about the car wash Mickie, Mar-E (truck) needs a bath too but with rain every other day, it's just not worth it.

Sharon ~ AC is recharged (yippee) and tree guy gave me a (to me) good price of $270 because the tree is down, and the majority of the roots are out too, so basically he just has to cut it up & haul it away. Supposed to be done today (fingers crossed). Enjoy the low humidity while you can, since everything we get heads your way, you may have a bit more in a day or so and then hopefully a few good days again.

Have fun in Canada Judy. I'll be looking forward to your posts.

Evie - you're dealing with 'stuff' so you can still be out & about :D (just a reminder)

Have a good day everyone and if you are on the road, stay safe (by the way - anyone know Sue's location?)

good morning ladies,
finally, the 30 day milestone has been made with my friend and I can stop with my caregiving. Time to move on. Spent
the morning cleaning out the car and getting the camper tidied up and stuff sorted. Need to do laundry but will probably
wait a few more days on that so I have a bigger load and get it all done. Picked up a nice thank you card for Jon's sister
to leave as I depart in a few days. Her and her hubby are truly very special people. I'm actually going to study the map
today and think I might leave here a couple days early swinging through San Francisco and John Muir Woods. I'll make one
last trip over to visit his dad and say good bye. It all feels good and I did the right thing for him and for myself.
On that note, ya'll have a great day, be safe in your travels and enjoy the serenity that nature has to offer.

Cheryl, that is an excellent price on that tree!! Unfortunately all of ours had to be lifted over the house to be removed... sooooooo expensive.

Ava, have a wonderful trip. After all the prep and excitement of our cross country move I'll admit I'm feeling a little let down now, I want to keep rolling!! Maybe in a few years when work is done.

Evie, I went through the rv downsizing when I went from 27' to 23'. I still have two bins in the old house with stuff I took out of there. Every once in a while I will think of something I can use but most of it could probably go in the trash. At least I'm not still traveling with a full size foam pool float. lol

This morning when I went out to feed the cats I had sweat dripping in my eyes by the time I came back in. The thermometer said it was 95. Then it got overcast and the temperature went down to 86. Last night a storm came through with wind and lightening. It was going from East to West. That's the way we get storms from when we have hurricanes. I don't like to see that. Our rain chance has gone up from about 20% to 60% for the next week. Just what we need, more rain.

The dealership where Harold bought his Dodge truck will pick it up and leave him a truck when it needs service. I wonder how long that is going to last. The guy showed up yesterday afternoon with a bright red Ford F-150 crew cab. This morning Harold went to town in the Ford and came back with the windows down. He couldn't figure out how to turn the air conditioner on.

I went to Walmart yesterday and forgot food for the inside cats. I don't want to go back to Walmart. If I don't go this afternoon I will have to go in the morning. I am going to the local state park tomorrow afternoon for the weekend and I need some supplies. I think there will be about 8 of the Louisiana Belles coming. I need to put a fan on my list because it is going to be hot.
