Happy Summer to all :)

And the rain is here--it's to be an all day soaker, so I guess I have no excuse for not cleaning house today! The garden will love this rain. I'm picking about a quart of strawberries each day:)

Kathy, sorry about your friend's horses--glad you have time to spend with them before they "go." Lyn, happy for you to be on the road again! Ava, when are you off to see your dad?

No other news from here, so will just wish y'all a great day, & be safe wherever you are 8-)

Good morning carol and all who follow.
I see sunshine!!! :D
If it doesn't rain again, things may dry up by Tuesday and I'll be able to stain the deck. YIPPEEE!!
Things are moving forward, although slower than I would like. I guess this is the nature of the beast.
Not much else here today.
Have a great day everyone.
Safe travels to all.

Good Morning,

Kansas went from soggy to HOT!! With the COE park closed due to flooding, the State Park off limits as of 2 o'clock today as they set up for Country Stampede, I had a dilemma! Need electricity for this weather. Finally realized State Park to the west is still open so was going there, but daughter said that is too far so, for the first time, I will be parking at her house!

The month is flying by! Family reunion starts Thursday in Abilene, KS - near our family roots. Daughter and teens will attend around their work schedules, but 11 year old Natalie is going with me!

Enjoying reports from 'on the road' and worry about all the storms. Stay safe everyone!

Good morning all...I guess I am not the only one with rain ..gloom ...gray and no sun shine...been here 2 weeks with this stuff...I finally got an appointment to get that pesky leak fixed...on Wed... I will head to Erie and stay at Sparrow Pond Family Campground where RV tech guy is for the summer he will take a look and fix on Thrus... I think my tanks can hold of until then...well on a happier note tomorrow the sun is suppose to shine...we will see...if rv tech would have taken better care of business I would have made the plan for tomorrow...I did get the 6 foot step ladder out and when getting on next to top step I could just reach the top of rig...I took white duct tape and taped blindly where I though the leak is...the ladder is on the side where I could be seen from the street that is only 30 feet away ...so I could be seen if I fell..it is a bit*ch not being able to do things....so all have a fun filled day & B safe...donna&maggie ;)

Mornin' (or afternoon) ladies. Did breakfast with Dad today, then we went to the trailer to measure out a few things to figure out best bike rack to buy/not buy. Moved the spare tire over because either one will need the room. Hoping to head back to the bike store today.

Too dang humid for me here in the SW burbs of Chicago and tomorrow taking severe storms. Geez I hate summer. Give me sweater weather anytime. Anita, at least the CG fee is hopefully cheap where you're at. Have a great time at the reunion.

Kathy sorry about your friends horses. So hard to do and especially 2 at the same time.

And Donna!!! Dang be careful! You're not supposed to go that high on ladders!

Have a good day ladies and stay, cool, dry where ever you may be.

Hi all,

just dropping in to say 'Hi' & catch up a little.

Glad to see you're getting strawberries, Carolb. We've had so much rain here, I'm happy for a little break - just wish the temps didn't go up so high as soon as it stopped. Anita, there's always Council Grove, but that might be too far away too. Sorry to hear about your friend's horses, Kathy & about the hail in SD, Beth & Linda. Hope you get your pop-up camper down, Barb - I know that must be scary & frustrating. Love keeping up with Mitch & Tina's ventures in the NW & the pics from the MI GTG looks like that group is having fun. The GTG over the 4th in Oregon looks like its going be a happening place.

Been too busy here to even think about camping for a bit. Granddaughter's wedding shower last weekend, niece's wedding yesterday, board meeting last week & trying to clear out my office (21 year's worth of stuff) for the new guy. Downsizing at the office & at home. Granddaughter will be moving in 3 weeks so I've got to get in gear! Will fly out to meet new grand baby in late July, find an apartment & head out there in late Aug/first of Sept. Looking forward to the new adventure - just a little hectic getting to it.

Gaby's friend from Paris arrived in LA on Wed. I've had exactly 2 texts since then - He's here & she's fine. Carolb, I think the apron strings are being cut pretty effectively.

Ok, I'd better get moving.
Hope all your troubles are minor & short-lived.
Stay safe, dry & cool. :D

Good evening!

Quiet day here, DH & I took MIL out for lunch as it is her 86th birthday today. I think she enjoyed herself. Since our niece has started a new job and can't take MIL to shopping/Drs/errands I will now be the "designated driver". Good thing my schedule is fairly flexible.

The "skunk saga" in still continuing; not with live ones but with deceased. They are still under the shed and it still smells. Eventually it should decrease but whew, in the hot humid it's nasty.

So enjoying seeing the pictures and hearing of everyone's trips! Please keep posting!

Have a great week everyone,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.
