Sunny Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Wednesday

Postby carolb » Wed Jun 17, 2015 5:35 am

Gmorning all :)

I double checked the date--so easy to lose track! Sunny today at Nickerson SP, where Peg, Di and other Trekkers are camping. But I don't even want to mention the gypsy moth/catapillar infestation...aaargh!
Good to catch up with forum fam, tho I've been so lax about posting. Still somewhat incapacitated with slowly healing wrist, but managing.

Heading home this aftn, back to mow yard. Y'all have a great day. :)

good morning Carol, Donna and all

Hopefully, tomorrow will bring Thursday! LOL

Rainy again here, will it never end? My grass will be high enough to bale before I ever get to cut it.

Dr. told DH to take 2 pills instead of just one for a week. He was aggravated that she wouldn't just let him go back on his original medicine that had been doing a good job of controlling it. His complaint with it was he coughed a lot and had a dry throat. Better that than constant headaches and now muscle aches. Oh these Drs., why don't they just listen to us? I should think we know how we are feeling and what is working/not working better than anyone else!

No bedding at the feed store for my ponies so I had to go to the other place to get a few. I only got enough for a week because it's way more expensive at the other place. The feed store is ordering a pallet for me, to be picked up on Friday. Here's hoping I can either get my horse trailer out of the mud or borrow DH's truck. 50 of the 40lb. bags are NOT going to fit in the back of Pony!

Listening to all of you who are clearing out things has got me started on clearing out some of mine. There's a church-supported thrift store up the street from me that will be getting some donations pretty soon. Now just have to remember I don't also have to buy there!

good morning :D
good to see you post Carolb, darn that long healing process, I know we would all love for it to be 100% right now. It will
eventually be 100% though so hang in there.
So glad I'm not home right now, its really hot back there. The mobile home park called me and asked when I was going
to do my weeds, told me I had 48 hours or they would contract out and charge me. HA! well I'm on vacation!! Called son
and daughter and told them, son went over that night and did them all. Daughter went over the next morning and did
the two bushes I had planted in the front. :o :( said there were no weeds but a few in the back. I didn't have the heart
to tell her her brother did them the night before and that the two weeds that looked like bushes were indeed bushes.
She sent pictures, and yep my fifthwheel is still standing straight
My favorite motorhome (the one I will eventually buy ;) ) got sold,,, so yesterday I surfed the internet looking for another
one.....and I found one!! Its newer, has less miles but also a little higher priced, but it doesn't matter, its the exact model
of the one thats right for me. So now I can let this one haunt my dreams until I can buy it. The best thing about it.....its
back home.....in Mesa! easier drive for pick up
Don't have any plans except a trip to Staples to exchange a defective modem.
Time for my coffee refill, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

I ended up going ahead and buying a new battery for the truck yesterday. The battery was completely dead when I got down to the storage yard. I was told I need to drive the truck more. So, more camping is in my future. Of course OR is in my immediate future.

Lots of good news on the Forum. And, scary news about those air bags. Read in the paper this morning that more cars are being recalled for this problem.

Hope all have a good day, and, stay safe! Lyn

Good to see you posting Carolb. Hope you wrist will hurry up and heal.

My DH mowed the grass this morning. I'm surprised he didn't bog the mower like he usually does when the yard is this wet. The grass was clogging the blade. When I looked out he had almost backed into my orange tree.

Lyn, could you get one of the small solar chargers for you battery or is your camper under a roof? I have to watch that my engine battery doesn't go dead. I keep the tire monitor plugged in so it doesn't lose it's programing. Of course, camping more would be better.

Ava, that's why my son is trying to get his trailer out of the mobile home park, too many rules. I'm surprised they aren't giving him trouble because he gave his notice in April and it has rained so much we can't get the land ready. This week we only have about a 10% chance of rain and the temperatures will be in the 90's. Hopefully things will start to dry up.

I would like to go fishing in the pond. I bet the fish are big. If I didn't have to open and close 4 gates twice it wouldn't be a problem. The bush hog fell apart and Harold won't get another one so I have to go on the 4-wheeler because the grass is so tall. If they didn't want as much for a golf cart as a used car I might get one. I have a friend that works at a plant. Ever so often they get a bunch of golf carts. I need to get her to put my order in with their's so I could get a better price. Wishful thinking.
