Thanks Kathy for the info about Kathleen. We do worry when we don't hear from our forum friends. Health care is now becoming the pits with o'care. Lyn

Got my last Ohio grandchild staying with me tonight, and she is out cold. She is only 5 and the easiest of the three. Doesn't like chocolate chip cookies for some reason--funny kid. I am headed back to Michigan tomorrow after dropping her off home and returning my rental car. Glad to get into the dentist on Monday to get my permanent cap put on and see my doctor for my yearly visit. My neck has really been bothering me.

Then Wednesday, my California son and his two kids will join me for 8 days camping in northern Michigan. They have been here but only to visit me at my condo and their grandfather at his, so they do not really know this part of the country. They are 8 and 10 so much easier to handle and better behaved, all around.

My campsite that I chose for these three days is on the main big grassy area where the playground is and that attracts tons of kids, big and little. This weekend the whole state park is swamped with kids, and you all know what that is like. An older couple stopped by and asked me how I was enjoying my site. Turns out they were talking at the ice cream social about who was nuts enough to get this spot for the weekend! I told them I was actually gone for most of the day today and yesterday, and knew I'd be having the grandkids staying. They said they wanted to meet the person who chose this punishment!

That's funny, Judy  I'm not sure I'd stay that close to a playground, even with the grandkids with me. What a tough cookie you are!

I'm trying this again. We'll see how it goes. Beth said to copy before I post, so I'll try to remember to try it. When I was preparing to leave Napa, I discovered I had a flat tire. The same tire that had the nail and had patched in Sacramento, on my way to Napa. The young mechanic who was working on the ranch took off the outside tire and said it was a leaky valve extension. He aired it up, put everything back on, and I drove to Sacramento to visit my DS and BIL for 2 nights. Hunted all over town for valve extenders. Had a place put them on. Then, on Donner Pass, I had a blowout on that same tire  Thank God, it happened just before the rest area at the summit! It didn't damage anything else and I called my roadside assistance and they sent a tow truck to put my spare on. I stopped in Reno to buy 4 new tires. Should really have bought them before I spent $123 on that old tire. Guess what I'll be working to pay for, this summer? I did enjoy taking the more scenic route and stopping to see friends in West Yellowstone and Virginia City, MT. Wish I had more time. Had to drive right by some other friends.

Got to Keystone on Thurs afternoon and started work on Fri afternoon. Beth is a great trainer and I hope I do her well. It's an amazing area. Just wish the weather was nicer. It rains every day! Poured in the night, last night, and again today. The little creek, that runs through the campground, is flooded, so they closed the bridges, again. Beth and I went into Rapid City, today, to run some errands. We stopped at the farmer's market. It's early, so not many vendors, but found a few yummy items. I always try to buy local honey, for my allergies. If the weather is nice, tomorrow, we plan to take a drive to Custer State Park 8-)

Glad you are safe Linda, sorry you had to buy new tires.

Seems like several are having neck and shoulder issues. This is a video made by one of the yoga instructors I go to. She had a neck/shoulder injury in an accident so does a lot of training for those areas. Hope it helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZQqfDJ8bdI

Thank you, BJ, that was very timely for me as I have been in agony all day with neck and shoulder pain…probably from a pinched nerve. Appreciate the video. I will repeat the exercises daily in hopes I will gain relief. No fun being a tourist while in pain.

BJ, I'll be checking those out also.

Linda and I drove Iron Mountain Road, the Wildlife Loop, Needles Highway, past Crazy Horse and Mt. Rushmore. We saw Pronghorn antelope, buffalo, donkeys and prairie dogs. The day that weathermen were still predicting last night to be sunny was more cloudy than sunny and included some light rain, with occasional sunshine thrown in. We took it.

When we got back to Keystone, I ordered two large pizzas and Linda and i picked them up and I took them to the store for everyone to enjoy. I'm now relaxing. Linda had energy left and is doing laundry.

Carolyn posted some information on FB about construction on I-10 at the junction of I-59 Northeast of New Orleans. I am going to an RVing Women rally in Biloxi on Thursday. Looks like I will have to take a different route or take a chance on sitting on I-10 for hours. There have been so many accidents on the basin bridge lately that take hours to clear too. Carolyn can't go this time so it wouldn't take much for me to cancel this trip. My son and I are going to Florida in July to pick up my grandson so will have to detour for that too.

Took a fun raft trip for 2 hours on the Pigeon River in Tennessee. tGM posted some pics on his blog. We are on the road again. Heading towards Arkansas to visit friends and then heading west. Have a 10 day trip (by plane) to Alaska with 4 others at the end of July. Most plans in jello.

The campfire needs to be refreshed!

this morning very early. I am assuming they I am spending the second-to-the-last night with my California son and my two grandkids, ages 8 and 10. We've been to Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island, spent a couple of nights watching ships go through the Soo locks, and spent last night at Tahquamenon Falls, where we all suffered from horrible hoards of mosquitos. :o

There were literally hundreds in my motorhome last night and more hundreds came in through the cracks around the slides???? Some no doubt came in through the door, but that does not explain this morning. My son was using my electronic swatter to get two and three at a time. Last night, we walked to the lower falls, and my grandkids were very happy that I had three head mosquito nets tucked away--really helped. Wore them this morning at the Upper Falls.

Now we are at Hartwick Pines and will be headed home tomorrow. Much better here, although still a few of the nasty beasts! Poor kids have their legs covered with bites before we realized what was happening and put them in long pants. They will have a lot of stories to tell their mother and friends in California where there are almost no mosquitos! Tomorrow night is along Lake Erie, so that will be better because of the breeze.
