okay Donna, here goes....we are heading out in the morning for a 3 night stay at Oak Creek Campground in Narvon, Pa. It's an Adventure Bound campground with all the goodies for kids! It's Grandpa's Birthday so what better place to celebrate than in a campground.. We will go ahead of the crowd and get some down time, try out the new gadgets he put on the rig. The kids will come Saturday night and Sunday. Looking forward to the BBQ and the fun! After that, Lord willing, when we come back, we will prepare for our trip by ourselves.

I have a little concern, though and don't laugh, you may find it silly but we were all planned out for the trip to Maine. The route takes us right up through the western part of Vermont....Where that MANHUNT is for the convicts!!!!! I was hoping they would be caught by next week. I see on CNN where they are checking campgrounds for those 2 guys! I would not like to run into any of that! So my alternative plan is to do the Finger Lakes and historic route 6 in PA and then plan another trip later.

Time will tell, I guess. Hope you all have a good week!

Nan and I are in Wells, ME, enjoying the sights and things to do around here, and oh yes, the good things to eat...like lobster. Next Tuesday we take the ferry/cruise from Portland to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. We will be touring the Maritime Provinces for a few weeks. May not be posting much, depending on the availability of WiFi.

Well, I am as many of you know, I West Yellowstone, MT at Grizzle RV Park. Been touring all over Yellowstone. Before I got here, I came across WI, MN, SD and WY. Have been to Rapid City and toured with Beth through Custer State Park ad the area. Been to Wall Drugs, the Badlands, Devil's Tower National Monument, the Custer Battlefield Historic Site, have met a lot of nice people, seen some beautiful country. I will be leaving here on Sunday to go south to Teton Valley RV Park in Victor, ID, my base for a couple of days of exploring the Grand Tetons before turning back east toward home. At the moment the plan is to hit the Oregon Trial Wagon Ruts Historical site, Register Cliff, Ft. Laramie and Ft. Robinson before returning up to SD. I want to stop near Mitchell for probably a couple of nights to see the corn palace and also tour Laura Ingalls Wilder Homestead in DeSmet, north of Mitchell. Then will be on road toward home.

So happy to hear about all the adventures. Soon I/we will have our own stories to tell. This weekend we have a trip to Madison (about 90 mi) to say farewell to a cousin & husband who are selling all they own to go fulltime on the road in their new RV. Then Sunday afternoon I'm giving a (paid) talk at a gathering of women regarding healthy choices and financial wellbeing. Not very interesting compared to the travelers out there. But, next weekend I'm off to Frankenmuth for the GTG there, where I'll meet some of the dear ladies I read about on the forum. That's my highlight. Please, keep the stories coming; they give me inspiration as well as entertainment.

At the moment we are parked in a COE campground (Cranfield Park) on Norfork Lake in Mountain Home, Arkansas visiting friends. We head west from here toward Seattle where we are flying to Alaska for a 10 day trip with 2 other couples. Then possibly across Canada to the east coast. The trip to Seattle as well as the possible trip across CA is firmly planted in jello  we are suppose to be back in Sarasota in October, but..... carold

I arrived in Kansas May 31 and will be here until after the 1st of July. Lots of visiting with an aunt and uncle - stayed at their farm 10 days. Now at COE on Tuttle Creek Lake near Manhattan. Have had some long day trips with daughter and grands - two for granddaughter's band camp in Lawrence, one to Kansas City for her doctor's appt and one to Wichita and Hutchinson for museums. I have had dental and eye appointments.

Wish I could send rain to California! The lake is so full the boat ramps are flooded! Lots of debris from upstream.

Mitch and I are currently in southern Idaho. The only plans that aren't still in powdered jello packets are reservations near the Oregon GTG in the beginning of July. We are only planning a week out at most. For now we only know that we will be here in this National Forest campground until Sunday. Need to walk over to her trailer with my AllStays and my National Geographic paper maps and think about where we go between here and the 4th of July! I have several more cousins that live in the Bend and Portland areas.....

Donna what a fun thread thank you for starting it! I am enjoying seeing where you all are/what you are doing.

As for me, I am still stuck at home. Our plans to go to our club next weekend have been changed to the weekend after that due to an emergency that a good friend is dealing with. Her DH's great Aunt has passed away and my friend and her DH must help to make arrangements.

In August, I will be camping on an island in the Mississippi River at a COE park with a Holiday Ramblers group. They don't seem to mind my little Gulf Stream joining them!

In September, I will be joining my Midwest Glamper friends for a weekend at Clinton Lake in IL. They say there is a huge flea market nearby that weekend and my friend Daun and her pup Hershey will be travelling with me.

Hoping to connect up with beazle (Eileen) for a mini gtg in N. IL too. We haven't worked out the particulars yet.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

I'm in Biloxi with an RVing Women Rally until Sunday. July 4th I am going to a school reunion and to the lake with my sister. If the weather is good there are fireworks all up and down the lake. We can even see the fireworks across the lake in Texas. The week after that I am going to St Petersburg with my son to pick up my grandson. That will probably take a week. The Louisiana Belles are camping at the state park by my house in a couple of weeks so I will probably go spend the weekend with them. It's nice to be that close to home, my DH brings us food. lol

Well! I can actually join this conversation, as we leave in a few minutes for a long weekend away! :)

We're headed to the Cuyamaca mountains above San Diego for a long weekend. We'll be staying in a membership campground and enjoying being outside, walking with the pooches, and crocheting under our awning. :)

Next month we'll be heading north to the Monterey/Santa Cruz area for 9 days. We'll do some kayaking on Monterey Bay and Moss Landing, and hopefully get to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium (thanks to a friend's free passes). Then in August we'll head to San Diego for 5 days of fun in the sun.

Wish we could do more, but when one of us still has to work, vacation time is limited. Weekends around here, though, will be spent at the beach with a 14 year-old as he surfs. Could be worse! :)

What a great idea, Donna. Hope members keep it going for the summer as "jello" plans evolve.

I had hopes of my first trip to be next week to meet CArol for a few days in TN as she starts her trip out west. Had to cancel last week as I received notice that an extreme case of toxic black mold was discovered in one of the antique malls where I rent space. Everything has to be out of there before end of month. Because of the mold, they cannot run A/C or fans and the heat index forecast is 102-105 for most of the week. I will start packing there later today - not looking forward to that task.

This is an interesting topic, and I finally have something to offer. I am in hopes of leaving here in the morning, heading west. Stop over in Mo. for a family reunion, will see my Sis there and then onto meet up with a friend I met in Ak, in 2009. Then onto my stepsons and then on out to my son's in Colorado. I will be going through Kansas, from east to west and Anita if you'll pm me, maybe we can have a meet up, doesn't make any difference to me how I go through there :D and I would love to see you again. Other then my meet up with my Ak friend, I have no set times to be anywhere. Kansas is a long ways across  so plan several stops. I am in no rush for this trip, want to enjoy it all. After leaving my son's, hope to head to the Tetons and meet Sheila if that works for her, but I have never been there and have wanted to see them for ages. Had a friend who saw them years ago and her pictures and stories , its been on my bucket list. Then hoping to head on up to the Badlands, I feel them calling me again :o and hopefully can hit a time where Beth would have a time for a chat, been ages, since I have seen her. Then thinking of traveling across the northern states and back into U.P. of Mi. and on down to see my Aunt. Hoping she is still ok. Of course, Sue is on the Michigan route. Would love to meet Barbie, if at all possible, I have no set routes yet, so any of those who might have time for a meet up, I will let you all know my whereabouts somewhat enough that you can pm me and we'll see if our times jive. Now, Pat, in S.D I did not leave you out, I so hope to finally get to meet you. This is the route I would love to do, but now whether I can, hey after my last two years or guess 3 yrs, one never knows, right ???? But I'm leaving in the morning and Anita, I am determined to see my son, its been 3 yrs, so somehow I will be making it through Kansas, so let me know if you think its possible ok?

Must get back at the chores here, want to leave the house, not to bad off as hoping my oldest GS from Fl, can get time off work to come visit. He wants to and knowing that makes my heart feel good, now if his job will just work out. So off of here !!!

I am so sorry, Sarah, ran into more problems, was hoping to get her away from the others. Now I have a week I will be by myself and just may have to do some real cleaning on the rv. which I have not had time or ambition and most of all energy to do as it needs. House needed too much and still does and here I'm leaving and will have a lot of it to do over.    Oh well, it will be here waiting for me, right ??? that is unless that long lost dust fairy shows up !!
