As I mentioned in morning coffee, Diane and I had a little gtg yesterday. We met in a nearby town of Angles Camp, parked my car and she drove us up to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park. It was just awesome, and I could enjoy going again sometime. We made a stop in Arnold at a sandwich shop and we each purchased sandwiches to go and had a picnic after
we walked the trail.
The campground looked good with mostly level sights and all had their own water spigots and bear boxes.
A few of the many pics that were taken.....
the ferns grew everywhere..
the trees were HUGE!
the trail was groomed and well marked
Me and Diane
sometimes the trail went right through fallen trees
biggest stump in the world, and I'm told they even hold square dances on this big stump
and of course whats a set of pictures without that one of the backside
