Good Morning Donna and all,
lad to see you have some sunshine this morning. Sounds like you are content being home in PA and going t get into some craft work. I'm. . sure I will have yard work waiting for me when I get home as well. Neighbor is cutting grass, but I know the weeds are having a ball.

Sun is shining here too this morning. We had a couple of thunderstorms come through late into the evening yesterday. One of which we just caught the edge and gave us a hail storm for a short bit. Fortunately it was just pea sized, so didn't hurt anything. But sure was noisy hitting the roof of this thing.

Had a good day yesterday touring the geysers, mud pots, etc. and especially watching Old Faithful put on a show, much to the delight of the crowd. These are things my parents did and saw back in 1984 and I am following their footsteps to a point on this trip. Today we are heading over to Canyon Village and touring the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and that area. Will be heading out in a bit here, soon as I get cleaned up, dressed and so forth. Saw buffalo yesterday and also a couple of trumpeter swans. There are a lot of people in the park, but nothing like the crowds that will be here later I am sure. Parking as JudyJB mentioned last year is at a premium in a lot of those sites, but eventually one finds a place to park. No problem at Old Faithful. I think it's the tour bus groups that are making up the majority of visitors. Noticed more vehicles and people parked along the roads at same sites later in day, so pays to go in early. Want to post some pictures, but have to size them down so Photobucket can upload quicker and then get them transferred into the forum.

Well, time to get a move on here. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Enjoy your travels wherever they make take you, enjoy you day if you are at home.

Good morning Donna and Sue

Sue, fun to hear about your trip. I am eagerly awaiting the pictures of your adventures.

Donna, sounds like you are excited to start some projects. I need to dig in and get some done too.

DH's blood pressure has been near perfect (low 120's over low 80's) ever since Sunday. We can't figure out what caused the spike in his pressure on Sunday. He never misses his medication so I know it wasn't that. He'd been out fishing with our son and was just relaxing at home, nothing strenuous. We are continuing to monitor it daily and we have to go back to see the Dr. in about a month.

Darn dog tripped me at the vet's and boy did I hit the floor with a big thud! That pup and I just can't seem to get along. I had fallen over my own dog a few days before at home and landed on my right knee, yesterday I landed on my left so now I have a matched pair of bruised knees! When we got home I was determined that pup should walk correctly on a leash-no more pulling. I've never really worked with him on leash training, he's DH's dog but yesterday I got out my correction collar that I used for Buddy. The minute I put it on Shooter it was like a switch was flipped. He walked quietly and almost perfectly on the leash. I was amazed! I've taken many classes with Buddy so I know how to use the collar correctly; I never even had to pull on the leash! And the darn thing had been in my car when I took Shooter to the vet's, I could have used it on him from the start! Boy am I dumb!

Looks like we are in for some hot humid weather here in IL today. Dogs are still inside which is a good thing. I sure don't want them out in the heat even though their kennel has a roof for shade. I thought if it got really warm inside, we could go out in Angel and turn on the a/c.

Making a call to wildlife trapper this morning. Skunky is still hanging around and I'm getting pretty tired of the smell.

Have a good one,
Kathy

Kathy, be careful of those falls. I had a cat run between my legs at the barn and when I fell my elbow hit the ground first and I heard crunch by my ear. It dislocated my shoulder and I had to be put under to get it fixed and had to wear a sling for 6 weeks. I have to be really careful with the outside cats. For some reason when they run by me sometimes they clip my leg. It's good enough to make me fall if I'm taking a step. I have a 3 wheel bike that I usually ride to the barn just so they can't trip me. Any time I head to the barn it looks like a parade.

What kind of collar do you use to keep the dog from pulling? I have been taking the dog to the vet because I was afraid he would pull my husband down. On the last trip he almost tripped me trying to get out of the office. We have a border collie that is trained to work cattle, not walk on a leash. I'm sure if I worked with him a little he would be better. They are such smart dogs. Of course he thinks my husband is his boss not me. lol

Good luck with the skunk trapping. My husband could tell you some tales about by skunk trapping. When I would catch one he would have to deal with it. We use to feed the barn cats late in the afternoon and that would just attract the skunks, raccoons and possums. Now they get fed in the morning so most of the food is gone by night. I haven't seen a skunk in a while. My son had a boston terrier and I can't tell you how many times he got sprayed by a skunk. It looks like only one time would be enough and they would learn.

I need to get myself in gear and go to town. We are having rain every afternoon again. I need to be ready to leave early in the morning for Biloxi. It seems like I never get everything loaded and still have many trips to the motorhome before I can pull out.

good morning ladies
little drizzle this morning, but it certainly smells good. Getting a little bored and need to find something to do. Lot
of things changing very quickly here and I'm looking forward to moving on. Don't get me wrong, things are still good
but there comes a time when you need to let go of the hand and let them walk alone. Support can only go so far.
Had news yesterday ... my friend in Colorado I took care of two summers ago, she passed away day before. I feel
sad but am relieved she is no longer living in misery and pain.
Well off to get some more coffee and then I'll study the map and see what I want to do. Ya'll have a great day and
be safe.

Good morning ladies.
Finally got the front flowerbeds cleaned and weeded.
Will work on back this afternoon when humidity drops.
Tomorrow the handy man comes to clean gutters.
Friday I get to power wash the deck before staining next week.
Whew!!! I am pooped just thinking of it.
All this is in preparation for daughter and grands visiting in July. Can you tell I am lookoing forward to July?

Have a great day everyone.
Safe travels to those on the road.

Good Morning, Hot and humid out today and weatherman says it is here for awhile. :( Brenda I think having company is the best incentive for house cleaning. I remember when neighbors/friends would drop by unannounced and I think it made everyone be a little more organized. I rather miss those times. I guess too many people read Ann Landers column when she said, if you are unannounced or not invited you are not welcome, and it started a new trend. :( I found an old Jack in the Box toy awhile ago in a cabinet and teased the dogs for awhile with it, Mitzi said she wasn't amused. Andy went into DH's studio and sat beside him. Toby was a little interested but only from a distance. I also found several pictures from when Andy was a puppy. I started thinking how we don't have pictures now that you can hold in your hand and look at. I wonder how pictures will be handed down now in families. Guess all the young people are so used to digital everything it may not be a problem. As technology changes thought maybe the way they are saved will be as obsolete as a tape. I was wondering also Martha what kind of harness Kathy used, I could sure use help with Mitzi.

Had a brief, heavy storm roll thru here yesterday evening, but cleared up right afterward with a beautiful double rainbow. Was in the mid 90's yesterday too. Today is sunny and 80*, so much nicer. Tomorrow tho, will be heavy rains and storms all day long.

Ava, so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, but like you said, her quality of life wasn't too good. Glad you were able to help her out tho. You are always so willing to help everyone when they need it. But sounds like you also know when to say "when", too. You don't want to get taken advantage of either. Gotta look out for yourself too! Hope you find something fun to do today.

I am on a split shift today. Think I will take a little nap and then have lunch before heading back to work later on.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

When I was training Monty I used a "Gentle Leader" . It works.

Used them on Molly too. The idea behind them is if the pup pulls, it will hit a pressure point on the nose to make them stop pulling. Kind of like a horse halter.

Zorro wears one just because he's got too much loose skin around his neck & slips out of regular collars too easy & I can't seem to find a harness that fits him well.
