BBBrrrr They really meant it !!!

Postby Carolinagal » Fri May 22, 2015 6:50 am

Good Morning !!! This time they really meant it when they said a cold front was coming in, sweater weather this morning, but feels good to me, got warm a bit too fast for me this year. I get energy from cool weather, so hopefully today will be one to accomplish what I hope too. Want to check all the cabinets in the RV and take out things I did not use this past yr and half. Guess I don't need them :D

Yesterday was errand day and just getting out on the road, helped my spirits a lot, would have been much better, if I hadn't had to come back here :( Oh well, day will get here when I will head west.

Not much news from here, so will go get more coffee and wish you all the best of days. Please be very careful if on the road this week end, big traffic time and there will be more accidents then any of us want to hear about. So Please take care

CArol :)

Ah, wonderful to see you start coffee this morning CArol. Chilly here too. Another night of frost here again. Not heavy, but grass and roofs white here and there.

Wound up going to Houghton Lake yesterday as WalMart here didn't have TV I wanted in stock. And drove past Camping World without stopping  So running a few errands I didn't get done here yesterday while the morning is chilly. Got the banking business done though and Mail stop notice is in the box this morning. Maybe will get truck cleaned today. Also put a few things in trailer.

Donna, in case you didn't see them, I posted the pictures of that door project in General Talk for you. Not the best pictures, but hope you get the idea.

Time to get a move on. And like Carol, said, be safe if you are out and about this weekend.

G'morning!
Busy here for me too, getting ready for cookout and watching 3 dogs and 2 cats over the weekend.

Bunk ladder came yesterday and DH helped me modify and install it. Just need to get some stain/poly on the board I used to attach it and it will be all good! No more falling out of bed for me (oh yes I did!)

Gonna run, got MIL's house to clean then my own, maybe get the grass cut today in between
dog visits, who knows.

Stay safe, take care and catch ya later
Kathy

Good morning. Near record lows yesterday - felt more like early March than late May - but quick warm up starting today.
I did not get my errands done yesterday; in fact didn't even get dressed. Cannot do that again today.
Wishing you a great day. I'm off for more coffee before starting my day.

Beautiful out again today. I am so happy and pleased with myself I was able to connect my phone to my new van! It automatically downloaded all my contacts, unlike the Subaru that it took at least 15 minutes and multiple steps to down load one contact. :) :) I was going to go to the dealer but since I didn't buy it local I decided to try, very glad I did!
I have some sort of red things, can't tell if hives, shingles or bites under my arm. the acupuncture doctor said they didn't look like Shingles to her but whatever they are I want them gone. They look like individual bites and some are fairly close together and others about 4 spots are a few inches away from each other. They itched at first and now they hurt. I'm using my Mayan Magic Balm cream and they appear to be getting better. I will frequently have one or two shingle spots on my back and they don't blister when I use this balm. They carry it at our Coop but Amazon and this place has it. It has many uses especially good for burns. http://lavigneorganics.com/product/maya ... alm-small/

I haven't seen Cheryl post ,hope she got her furnace working.

For those of you not on Facebook please hold Mitch's little Abby in your thoughts and prayers. Abby is very ill and the vet doesn't know if he can save her.

Good Morning,

There is blue sky at Colorado National Monument! I drove the park road yesterday to get the lay of the land. Saw 5 bighorn sheep - always a treat. Off to do some hiking later.

Carolb, glad that cast will be off soon! To those of you with house projects, you wear me out! To those about to hit the road, safe travels and I hope the weather cooperates.

Camping here has been an experience - tent people up at 6:30, car alarms, yelling - yet I can't run the generator for coffee until 8! They are all packed up and gone by then. I talked with the camp host yesterday about the tunnels getting here - they are marked 10' 3" - sent me into a panic. He says Colorado DOT marked them and won't change them. One man in a MH was ready to back down the road, but camp host happened to be on the road that day and stopped him! So if you should ever come here, know that you will fit!

Kansas daughter e-mailed me the schedule for day trips next month, summer band concert etc. For those who know she had an issue with me, you know this is big - even tho she let the issue go several months ago, this still warms my heart.

Have a good day whatever you are doing!

Congratulations on driving past Camping World without stopping, Sue! Don't know if I could do that. Have fun on your trip and keep us updated!

It is warming up slowly here in Michigan. I had to wear long pants for the past two days, which I really, really hate, and am now in shorts, even if it is a bit chilly. My goal is to always be somewhere I can wear shorts and a t-shirt! Had to move campsites this morning and ended up dropping one of my leveling boards on my left foot, so have a big lump. Put ice on it, but too late for lump as I had not noticed it in time. I always have friends asking me how I handle the complicated set-up process, so I did a video of my pulling out the electric cord and plugging it in! Also, included showing them the water hose I would use if I had a water hookup. (Don't know where people get such weird ideas about it being to hard to hook up a motorhome.) And then I did a really short video of my pushing the buttons to open my slides! Sewer connection is a little harder one-handed, but will get my son to tape it when he comes in a couple of weeks.

Good travels to all of you getting on the road soon. Got real Canadian bacon (pea-meal bacon) cooking for breakfast. Making a sandwich--yum.

My slow morning routine paid off today. Thunderstorms and rain came in taking out the blue sky! Trails are red dirt - now mud. Another time.
