Saturday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sat May 16, 2015 6:44 am

Good Morning,

Where's my sunshine? Cloudy and chilly again. Puppy doesn't care, she thrives on cold weather. Full of heck this morning. Hard to believe she's 7 months old already.

Donna, you sound happy being at Wickham again. Carol, you got a lot done yesterday. Sarah, I have bought stuff at one WalMart and returned at another, but maybe you were past the return time. Sorry you are having so many problems with things not getting done and people not showing up. May be time to bail out of it all. Ah yes, the lilacs. We had a huge one when we lived in southern MI. They are not out up here yet. Won't be long. Peggy, glad to see your post and that you are doing fine. Too bad you couldn't jump in your rig and head west with me. You still have it don't you?
Jane, leave time coming up as is mine. Oh yeah, bit nervous but excited here too.

Want to get out in my TT and finish my door project. Then will be done with TT projects. Gotta get out from under that stuff so can do some yard work here. Weeds are going to take over if I'm not careful. Need Carolb to come for a visit
Did some running to different places yesterday but didn't accomplish all on my list. Ran out of steam.

I've got sausage, eggs, pancakes for breakfast to start your weekend, help yourself and have a nice day.

Good morning Sue and all...I am at Wickham Park Campground...it was a beautiful day on the east coast of Central Florida yesterday...most of the day it was only 79 got to 83 but there was a great breeze blowing thru the rig...not quite a wind just a big breeze...did an early walk this AM and it was great..for some reason it is more enjoyable here at the campground than in the neighborhood...check out time is noon...we will be ready after dumping and flushing tanks .. but not happy to leave...if today is like yesterday I might just spend the afternoon in the day use area....looks like we will head north on the 26th day after Memorial Day...Soos and I are trying to work it out so we can travel together at least to Winchester VA where I will be stopping at my DD home...so off to enjoy the rest of my day...have a fun filled day and B safe...donna ;) PS made a blog post this morning..

good morning ladies,
thanks for opening mc Sue, its cloudy and chilly here too, we had a big storm go through here just when I got off work, the
rain was so bad I couldn't see. Decided it was a good time to stop for dinner and wait out the storm. It was a good decision.
When I was done eating, the skies were blue, there was a rainbow and there was no traffic. According to the weather report this morning, turns out yesterday was the wettest May day so far, and it all happened with one cloudburst. Suppose to be
somewhat the same today. It will be a good day to get more done indoors today. One week left of school, can't wait!
My rent is all paid up until August so I don't have to stress over the summer about my "bills" back home. Will just have my cell
bill and then of course insurance comes out automatically. I have a handle on this, feels good :D after all the years I struggled so hard to make ends meet. Inside my head....wow,!
Have a doctor appt on the schedule before I go, just a check up, and also one scheduled for Maggie, as she needs her rabies
shot and I'll need a health record for her too. Then gotta pick up one of those "good" flea collars. So, two more weeks and I'll be on the road. :D
Ya'll have a great day, be safe, be healthy, and if ya need to, take cover. :D

Good Morning everyone
I am on my 3rd cup of coffee and trying to get motivated. It is a rainy day here today but that is OK we need a bit of rain. I have some pet sitting to do today ( I have a pet sitting business not sure if I ever mentioned it). Anyway after getting that done going to start packing the rv with stuff we will need for the trip and stuff stuff that will just be there for future trips etc. I have been loading up on videos on a laptop computer to have entertainment for us when we have down time or stuck in the rv for whatever reasons. I bought a download called Play on /Play Later. You can record tv shows etc and then play them later without streaming or being online.
Guess I had better get moving have a good Saturday everyone.

Good Morning !!! Not raining as predicted, maybe it is somewhere on other side of mountain, I did finish the front porch yesterday, it actually was more work then back deck, because had vines growing up through lattice that all had to be cut and ripped out. Two good days of work outside and really starting to look better, which sure makes me feel better. When I first got home and saw this place I was really overwhelmed, had no idea where or how to start. Thanks to my neighbor boy, it is starting to shape up into more like I like it.

Today will get back on projects in the house. More paperwork to shred, it seems to be everywhere, not just in file cabinet :D Had quite a bit piled up in RV while I was gone too. Have my closet about half cleared out, can't believe there is so much in there, I have gone through it and got rid of so much before I left and you sure couldn't tell it by all that's still in there :( pile to be hauled off to a thrift shop is growing. Hoping neighbor boy will help with that with his truck, can't seem to find any that will come this far out to pick up. Still have more in the cabin to get rid of then I remembered, gave so much to a friend who planned a yard sale just before I left, guess I didn't give her enough  :D think we filled her truck though. Planning another trip to dumpsters Monday morning, so will be getting more added to that pile over the week end.

I could sure have more done, if I was a couple of years younger or at least not had that fall that I had back in 2012. The ole bod, needs to rest more between and in the middle of these chores, so takes much longer. Which is aggravating, but I can still move and have so much done now in spite of anything and everything, that I am really encouraged.

Well, shouldn't set too long, just wanted to wish you all a good week end and had to tell of the success of the projects of past two days. Only Liz, can appreciate all the work that was involved cleaning decks and around steps , as she saw how they were neglected, any weeds , grass etc. a foot from the house was just left and what a mess, its gone and I'm am feeling so much better. Hate my place to look shaggy. Still a lot to be done, but not up next to the house around decks at least.

Feeling good this morning, so now on to what I can get done in here :?
Have a good day and stay safe,
CArol :)

gmorning all :)

AWOL again because I was AFCS--Absent From Cyber Space ! How about that  On Monday evening, I realized I'd done about all I could do at home with just my left hand/arm, which included mowing with the riding mower. After that, my left hand/arm hurt worse than my broken right wrist  Long story short, OSharon was game for a spontaneous gtg at Allegheny NP :D We had a great time, waterfront campsites (cheap with old peoples pass), nice weather, but we failed at fire starting--I imagine if they had given us dry wood, it would have been a different story--at least, that's our excuse ;) Cell service was limited to an area around the entry booth, so we spent most of our time in the "real world"--even a nice long trail walk that pushed OSharon's fitbit to the max!

So, caught up with y'all this a.m. Peg, thanks for alerting me to Kathy's PM. You are missed here on MC, as Lyn has been too, so it was good to see both of you back.

I'm now able to type with one finger on my right hand, but this is about my limit  Y'all have a great day and be safe always 8-)

Good morning all. I was just trying to catch up and see what everyone is doing. So much going on! CArol, I haven't even been away and trying to do much of what you're doing! i have a couple of bags of shredding awaiting the "shredding event" that they have every year in our area. Plus a pile of stuff to take away. A pick up would be handy!

I just spent a couple of days with Carolb at a campground north of me in the Allegheny NF! Carol got there before me and got two lovely sites right on the water. I had electric and she was on the other side without. Let's see, winter camping...check. I think Thursday morning Carol said the temp was 39! Once the fog burned off it turned out to be a beautiful day. Hike, check. Several "walks" throughout the day. And am I feeling it now! She's had lots of walks in her past...me, not so much! Couple that with 5 dogs all wanting to lead the march! Once I convinced my guys yesterday we weren't going anymore they got out of Lola and slept most of the evening! They didn't even want their playtime after their dinnner! I think Carol is still in shock over the fact that I said I'd join her! She thew it out there and I said okay, I'll be there! I'm working on being spontaneous! We had our first mini gtg pot luck...her hot dogs and my can of beans! Check! We got wood for a fire but it was so wet we couldn't get it to burn so I pulled out my gas grill! That was a bummer! Then when we left yesterday she gave me a lesson in dumping at the dump station for my first time. Check, I can do this!

I discovered where the leaking water was coming from so need to work on getting that fixed before I go out again plus a couple of other small things I need to get my RV guy to take a look at.

Well, I need to get to some things around here today. Looks like a rainy weekend so inside work. Have a good day, everyone! (Carolb, see you got here before me...I kinda filled in the blanks since I have 2 hands that work!)

Nice to hear from Carolb and OSharon! Sounds like a good time. Since I'm not a fire person, wouldn't have bothered me at all that I couldnt' get the wood burning :)

Today the store goes it's full hours - to 10:30 pm. I'll be working that shift today and tomorrow to train the last two workampers. They got here early in the week, but today is their first day working. Sun is out now and when I went by the store it was hopping. Unfortunately, if the rains come back this afternoon as predicted, we'll probably be slow tonight. Ah, good and bad in that, I suppose, being their first day.

Well crumbs I poofed my post again.

Anyway, glad to hear from you Carolb, and thanks again to Peggy for alerting her to my waiting message.

Carolb and O'Sharon, your mini gtg sounds like so much fun! I am sooooo ready for my own get away.

Carolb, you're probably over extending your "good" hand and that's why it's hurting. But trying to make you take it easy would be like trying to tie down the wind, I think! :D

O'Sharon, dumping is about the only thing I need to learn and my friend Ed will come over in a day or two to go over things with me.

CArol, glad you are feeling good about what you have accomplished-it sounds like a lot!

Jane! A fellow petsitter! I've been running a petsitting/dog walking/equine care business since '08, we need to compare notes!

Ava, I'm so happy that you are feeling good about where you are in life now.

Donna, that breeze sounds just heavenly! Sure hope you and Soos can caravan together, makes everything more fun!

Sue, I'm eagerly awaiting your trip just as you are, because someday I'm going to head out west too and follow your trail! I can't believe Miss Molly's that old either; she's really turning out to be a beautiful girl.

Beth, hope your last two workers aren't like your first two and they catch on quickly.

Went out for breakfast with a good friend, she said she "owed" me breakfast but I don't recall buying hers but not going to argue about a free breakfast! Had to return some things I bought for AG at Walmart and saw the cutest flowers in what looked like a huge pink teacup but no prices and I didn't feel like carrying the thing into the store only to find out it's more than I want to spend.

DH called from the shop to ask if I wanted to meet him at an Open House event at another body shop here in town. The other shop's owner is a very good barbequer so maybe I should go, but I'd kind of like to stay home and play with AG. The other day when she was at the mechanic's I actually had withdrawal symptoms because she wasn't here in the driveway! I am so silly!

TTFN! Hope your day's good!
Kathy

Almost bedtime here but thought I would stop by anyways. A large line of thunderstorms is just rolling thru now. Love those! Haven't had a good loud, bright t-storm yet this year. Need the rain too. Supposed to rain and storm all night and all day Sunday. Really pouring down heavy right now!

Finally had it with all the problems with my laptop and am ordering a new one this week. Just about had a nervous breakdown today from frustration with it!

Two police cars just pulled into our parking lot about 5 minutes ago. Second time this week. We never have problems here so am not sure what is going on. No ambulence this time. Never did find out what happened last time. Seemed pretty serious tho. (OK, an ambulence just pulled in...)

They are putting in a major landscaping project here starting June 1st with two levels of patios in back by the lake with a gas fireplace on one level with grills, and a gas firepit on the other level near the beach. Will be really nice once it is done, but sure wish they would start working on my studio!!! Not sure what the problem is with that. Also, very frustrating!

Time for bed...gotta go to work in the morning. :(
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
