Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning,

Was hoping somebody was going to beat me and get coffee going this morning, but guess you are all sleeping in and those heading for work have already left.

Got to tell you about my "made out like a banditvday" yesterday. First off, went to pick up my TT, expecting a nice bill for de-winterizing, checking all systems, re packing bearings etc.. Well, turns out the bearings are fine and no re packing necessary. So only had to pay for the de-winterizing and other stuff :D My checkbook and I are very happy. Then wandered over to neighbor's, where a garage sale is being set up. Did a little bit"pre sales snooping" and came home with 4 full to partly used rolls of duct tape, a roll of black plumbers tape, a pair of scissors for my garage and a can of plastic cleaner/polish for my lawn tractor, all for $4. A roll of duct tape alone costs that. Good haul there. There are 5 couples involved in this sale and one couple have sold their home and are moving into their 5er for the summer. Then plan to rent a place for winter and go from there. May become full timers, but still working right now.

So today's plan is to clean inside of my TT, organize things and get her ready to roll. My new electric fry pan came yesterday, so that will get stowed away later along with the Forman grill and crockpot. Clothes are gathered and some in their traveling bins in the spare bedroom. Tool box checked, WD bars, sway control bar, hitch and truck receiver are cleaned and smoothed with steel wool, packing and shopping lists made, truck plates and prescription renewed. Will be getting Molly's heart worm/flea meds. So things are coming together. Won't shop till next week. Have some leftovers in freezer for meals while on road. Going to cook up some mashed potatoes and freeze as well. Route is laid out for heading west, and campgrounds noted along the way when comes time to stop for the day. Can't do anything about the weather, so, preparing for cold, warm, hot, rain etc.

Time to get moving here. Things to do and sun is shining, although chilly right now. But have pile of stuff to run up to recycle, so will do that. Have a nice day all.

Good morning
Nothing new going on here. My "to do" list is getting out of hand again, need to get it reorganized. I seem to be having trouble staying focused lately and not sleeping well.
Great weather past few days but heat, humidity and rain moving back in late today. That will slow my porch redo down even more but I have made good progress on parts of that task.
Hope you have some fun planned into your day.

Not much here either Sarah. Sue is the busy bee she is going to need that trip to rest up. I sold my Subaru Outback that I bought last spring and bought a new Toyota Sienna, no more whining about my Subaru!!!!! I drove Siennas for 15 years and just couldn't get used to that Outback. I can't drive it far though until the new car smell dissipates. :( I will never learn to use all the tech stuff, after doing all the paperwork yesterday I told the guy I would come back, my head was beyond absorbing anymore information for the day. I need to go look through the recipes for ideas. If I loose anymore weight I'm going to need a whole new wardrobe and if you have shopped lately you know what a challenge that would be. Who wears the crap the stores are filled with??? I don't want ruffles or sparkles on my clothes nor do I want to have my body encased in elastic and polyester or whatever that material is that you see more of now, do they even make anything from cotton? Anyway, off my soap box and back to weight loss. My digestive system is not cooperating and I can't find out what foods it will tolerate. I don't like many foods anyway and now with trying to follow what the doctor suggested I eat I am having a hard time keeping weight on. Yes, I did go to a real doctor :) I also went to the Coop and bought Echinacea/Goldenseal tincture and some Slippery Elm which helped.
Looks as though we are going to have some rain again...at least the guy was able to get our lawn mowed yesterday. Hope everyone has something fun to do today at least for awhile!

Good Morning !! I started this day really early, before 5, I'm having problems sleeping too, Sarah. I had my coffee and breakfast early and at daylight was out cleaning off my back deck, so many leaves and branches, just haven't gotten to it since I have been home. (too many rainy days and days I just didn't feel like doing it  ) Decided it was getting done this morning, more rain coming in tonight and I refuse to walk anymore of that tree stuff inside. Hopefully will get the front porch done too, and rake around the steps.

Took Maggie to vet yesterday, she does not hear anymore, sees only shadows, and slow to get around but he said she wasn't in any pain, just old and he gave her rabies shot and increased her water pill, and cut her nails. I expect our time together is getting shorter, but he said right now she is doing fine with me and that I would know when she wasn't . She finds her way around the house fine and always knows where I am, of course, I help her know that.

My neighbor boy has mowed and cleaned up my yard and its looking much better. Still have not heard from guy who was going to get my mower going and get rid of this shrubbery that has crept closer to my house. Especially in back its really bad, almost up to the back deck and that I do not like. Going to have to call him again, I guess, thinking he is ill or has a problem because he is usually so reliable and such a good worker, he could clean most of this up in less than half a day. We won't even go into how long it would take me  :D and I used to do all that stuff. Don't want to anymore, and then too, some the ole bod would not like doing.

Mornings moving on and still have some raking around back deck, I want finished, have set long enough.

Take care and enjoy your day,
CArol :)

BJ, besides the price they want for clothes, I wonder who wears that stuff too. Most of it is filmy, see through material in styles I wouldn't wear. When I went shopping with my friend the other day I didn't buy anything. Not that I need anything. I have to make an effort to get something different out of the closet and not keep wearing the same things over and over.

I am leaving in a little while to go camping with the Getawaygals. The campground is only about 2 hours from here but I'm sure I it will be noon before I get on the road. They always have a theme for the campouts. This one is festival queens. That's fun to watch but I'm not dressing up. The lady that cuts my hair tried to talk me into taking one of her daughter's tiaras. Her daughter has been the queen of several things. There will be a crawfish boil tomorrow night. That will be the first boiled crawfish I have had this year. It seems that I have crawfish fewer times every year. The price is usually too high at the beginning of the season.

Better get moving.

Good Morning All, Haven't been here for several days...I think...lots of new news. Sandi, I'm going to look into that Wash/Wax/All you mentioned. It sounds like just what I need. Yes, this water situation in Calif is horrible. Here in SD County we have Rancho Santa Fe...big, big lots, lots of trees, flowers..pretty rich persons, and, great big water users!

I am so thankful I live in a condo with no yard work...I couldn't do it anymore as I am losing strength all over. Wish it was weight tho!

I too am hoping that Cindy is happily engaged!!! Her story has been a sad adventure.

I've found, and my daughter also, each visit to the vet is $600!!! Casey goes in for a check-up this afternoon?!?!?!?!?

Had to laugh, Kathy. When people hear I live at THE MARK, a downtown high-rise, they too assume I have lots of money!!! What they don't know is that my daughter owns the condo and I pay her a minimum rent!

Sue, have a great time on your trip...You are the most vigorous organized person I know!

My plans are really large jello bowls...not because of me, but because of the kids.

I had a very nice Mother's Day at the daughters. Lots of people and good food!

Catherine, why has your avatar changed? What is going on with you? Have I missed something? How are Brandon and Gabby?

Agree with all the comments on todays clothes!!! I too wear the same thing day after day after day. Clean tho!!!

Sue you make me tired, but how great you and Molly are so organized for your trip. I'm a big time list maker too but it took years for hubby to realize that if he did not let me finish checking it all off we would miss something! :D
I'm sitting here remembering what I was doing 35 years ago today. Mid- morning I was watching soaps, on bed rest, when my water broke and i went into labor. By 2:30 in the afternoon, I was a Mom for the first time. So today will be spent celebrating the not so little guys 35th birthday. He wants to go to Olive Garden tonight, so that is what we will do.
Cloudy here and hoping for at least a few sprinkles. Been a doctor office week so far and next week starts the same. All for hubby for rechecks and preparation visit for his upper GI scope next week. Nothing going on, just a every 3 year routines or past problems from reflux.Tuesday saw the ENT cancer surgeon and he said no sign of cancer and not much can be done to fix the disabilities he created in removing the tumor, unfortunately.
Have a good rest of your day all.
