Last Saturday of April

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Saturday of April

Postby Colliemom » Sat Apr 25, 2015 5:24 am

Morning all,

Wide awake a bushy tailed at 5:30 this morning, so decided to just get up. Guess Molly decided it's too early as she just went back to bed 8-)

Hard to believe next week we turn the calendar over to another month  time moves right along as you get older. So think I will have a stump removal morning. Nothing big, one just a baby that probably just needs a few whacks wth the ax as it's pretty well rotted. The other two maybe a little more work. We shall see. Also want to clean and store snow blowers.

See there has been some nasty weather in TX and also Louisiana. Hope the gals in those areas check in. Think it might have just missed Martha but I know area where Carolyn (CPatinJones) is got hit hard. Sarah was next in line last night. KS another state as well.

Nothing much for eats this morning. Not too hungry this morning. Maybe somebody has better offerings. You all have a nice day out there. :)

Good Morning !!!! I was up way to early too, but that seems to be the way things are going these days, late to bed and early up. It will pass as it usually does :D I'm still cleaning and throwing etc. here, and will be for some time. Find I do not accomplish as much as my mind would like or thinks I can each day. Which is ok, doing as I can.

Think its rained most of the time I have been here. Finally got out and went and picked up a few groceries and cleaning supplies yesterday. Really felt good to get out, I've been here almost two weeks and first I've left. So you see life is not all that exciting here, but just wanted to let you know I"m still around :D

Hope you all have a good day, those in the storm areas, Please take care, sounds wicked out there !!!

CArol :)

Good morning
Two rounds of storms over; one more severe threat for this afternoon. Yes, Carolyn's area of LA got hit hard with large hail but saw on FB that she wasn't home when storm went thru there.
Lots of yard work/clean up done yesterday before the storms. Had two people working beside me, one cutting weeds and unwanted volunteer bushes out of rocks (much of front yard made up of large limestone boulders) and the other person cleaning up the remainder of yard. I got several more pots of flowers plus a few herbs planted and took the weed eater to the fenced area of back yard. Cannot believe how sore my arms are this morning just from using the weed eater - I'm badly out of shape, especially upper body. We did not get everything done but property sure does look better.
No plans for today. Had considered going to the National Cornbread Festival (http://www.nationalcornbread.com) but decided against it due to weather.
I need more coffee and to put some kind of useful plan together for the day.

good morning ladies
wow, where did April go? not complaining, just seems like it went by fast. Finally had to break down and buy a new
washer, kept having to repair the old one and the inconvenience of that finally got to me. New one arrives today,
tracked it and its on the truck for delivery. :D
Saw the nasty storms some of you had, hope no one got hail damage.
Will do a little work on my fence project today, hopefully will get one whole area done.
Only 4 weeks of school left and we're out for summer. Little trip to vegas on the agenda for first weekend of June for a wedding and I'll enjoy a little of vegas while I'm there. No set plans to go to california this summer as my friend has decided he would rather live his life in a state of drunkeness, and I refuse to participate in that. I might do a stop by and say hi to his dad as I pass through on my way to visit my dad in July. The way it looks right now, the trip to Washington is still on but still jello.
ok, ya'll have a great day, having pumpernickle toast with some creamcheese this morning, help yourself.

All the storms went North of us yesterday. The hail looked like it had snowed where Carolyn(CPatinjones) lives. Her 5th wheel is under a shed so hope there was no damage. I haven't talked to my son but I think he would have called if they had any damage. The wind was so strong it blew 2 18 wheelers over on I-10 East of Lafayette. That was a mess for the traffic for a long time.

There are 2 yellow boxes to the West of us and a big area of rain. It hasn't started raining yet but it won't be long. I was thinking about going to town. I better get a move on if I'm going.

Good morning! I am off to work here shortly. Nothing much new but thought I would pop in and say hi.

Have a great day and stay safe from the storms! :D

Good Morning, I was up and out early but playing hookey from yoga. Had a couple come and look at my Subaru sure hope they buy it, I'm ready to get a van. I'm going to drive a Honda Odyssey the interior is a bit nicer but the HP is lower. Guess it's not that big of a deal but I do like a car to have 'get up and go'. I'll probably go back to the Toyota Sienna. Not a good week, lost more weight and I had been doing better. Ate too many things I shouldn't have last weekend I guess. It's hard to tell what my stomach decides not to like. Toby seems fine and skin seems to have stopped itching. I think he had hives, going to Google to see if dogs do get them but that was sure what it acted like. We both slept well last night thank goodness but I still feel sleepy. Rain supposed to come in this afternoon and hope no storms.
Sarah I think your area has more than it's share of bad weather. Hope Carolyn's place is ok and no damage to her home. Martha, you may need to start building an ark!

Moved to another campground at Lake Lanier. Another gorgeous 200 degree view from my motorhome windows, so it meets my most important camping criteria. I tried again to get my water pump working, and it makes a lot of noise, but does not produce water, so I guess when I get to Ohio I will have to take it in and get it fixed. This is the third water pump I have had in three years, so I am going to contact the customer service guy I talked to a few months ago and do more complaining. I have several campgrounds this summer and fall that have electric but no water, so I really need that water pump to work. :x

It's been raining, but it looks like we might have had the last of it. I need to get my work done so I can get my bike out tomorrow. I stopped and got a ton of groceries and got them put away, so no need to go out again for three days. Hope I see the bluebird I saw here two years ago!
