snowy Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

snowy Thursday

Good Morning from the snowy 45th,

Yep, it's snowing. Had 2 inches yesterday, the which of pretty well melted away and roads were just wet. But this morning it's 23 degrees and things are frozen out there making driving a little slick for those who have to drive. But by afternoon will start clearing and warm up coming in :D

So will just putter again today. Pick up the house a little, watch for mail carrier as my Bear WiFi extender is supposed to come today, putts with trip stuff etc. Have a load of wash going already.

Kathleen, glad you had a nice time in MI. Kathy, sounds like you have made peace with your situation, the rest will come in it's time. Good luck on the MH hunt. Can't remember what all else got posted yesterday, but everybody busy, some traveling etc. So will wish you all a good, safe day. :D

Morning gals,

Actually, I'm not at peace with the situation; rather I am ok with letting go of it all. I don't think I'll ever feel peace about this whole thing but this is as close as I can come. It was never the money; it was the wrongdoing that I wanted punished. So I just have to accept that someday, somehow he will pay for what he's done. I sure hope I'm there to witness it.

MH turned out to be worse than the pictures so I am going to pass on it. Lots of water damage to the ceiling; of all of the ones I've looked at this one had the worst amount. The owners said the previous owner kept it garaged and they've covered it the two years they have owned it so where did all this damage come from? And I did not fall in love with it. It was just "ok" to me. Yes, I could have lived with it but I'd really rather get something that when I walk in, it feels perfect (even if it's not in perfect shape). So the hunt continues!

Thought I found another MH, in WI this time. Right near where a good friend has a second home, so I called her to see if her DH (who usually stays there) would be in WI but no such luck. He's still here in IL and won't be going up very soon. She did say that when he does go, he would be happy to go check it out for me, so maybe it'll still be available when he gets there.

Sue, you just keep that white stuff by you, I don't want any of it!

Horseshoer coming this morning; ponies are going to get shoes on today so I need to go move my camper. Since we got the driveway blacktopped last year I've been pondering where we will do our shoeing this year. Can't shoe on blacktop so I have a small patch of gravel where I sometimes park Pony when I'm getting her ready to go somewhere. We can use that area to shoe the horses.

Well, time to go turn out the ponies and wait on the shoer. See ya'll later, stay safe.

Good morning! Crazy snow came back here, not much but windy and cold! What month is this again!? The ground isn't covered but roofs, car and Lola covered with a bit of the white stuff! Maybe I should go back to bed and try this again later!

Kathy, sorry the RV was a "frog" but good you aren't willing to settle. You'll know when you find the right one. Guess PA is to far for you to travel....saw a Tioga for sale in someone's yard the other day. Looks like a nice unit. I called my mechanic yesterday to arrage a time to take Lola in for her spring check up. Probably go to him the first week end of May. Gee, hope the freezing temps are over by then! He's going to walk me through the dewinterizing process cause he said I can do it easy enough. So I'll watch and learn! I feel so lucky to have found him!

I spent yesterday afternoon cleaning out the freezer. A job I've been putting off for far to long. Not sure I should admit that but there it is! Today is garbage day so got rid of alot of stuff that should have been used or thrown out long ago. So all in all just glad that chore is done.

Kathleen, glad you had a good visit with your son. I can relate to his napping, my DH napped quite a bit the first 6-8 weeks after his heart surgery. Dr said some people take longer to get anesthesia out of their system. One day he just started feeling better and didn't need to nap so much.

Beth, been remiss in thanking you for all the work that you do in keeping us going here! Can't be easy to juggle job and this at the same time. So a big thanks to you.

Well, coffee is on so feel free to help yourself! Need to get moving and get some things done before I have to leave for an appointment. Be safe if you are on the road and have a good day.

No snow here, but cold...with the sunshine, I don't mind the cold so much. Have to get out in the yard and cut down the dead stuff in the garden to make room for the new growth. I put it off until after our little trip, and now it turned cold so I have to suck it up and get out there today. We have rain/snow flurries predicted into next week after today, and besides, my weekend is full. Cereal and coffee is the best I can do for breakfast, until I go shopping again.
Stay safe out there,
Eileen

Good Morning Ladies! wow a busy group this is... cool here in Normal but they say a bit of spring weather is coming next week...

Kelsie came yesterday and got things in tip top condition... she also helped me with my tracphone... it is amazing what it does...

Kathy you will know when it is a fit... you are still welcome to come see mine... you will know what I say is the truth... I got taken with my first MH but am wondering if it was just age... sure want to get mine fixed and use it one more summer... would like to keep it and go around this area but it is not worth keeping the insurance up for short trips!

Shadow is still leery of me going away again... he was crying so loud when we got to the door... makes me wonder if he cried the whole 4 days...

oatmeal and blueberries and coffee are gone here... waiting for something interesting to happen!

Good evening!
Worked 10 hours today and am exhausted! Whew!!

Kathy, you just gotta pick your battles I guess. Hope you get something out of the whole deal! Good luck on the RV search.

We had our wind, sleet and snow the other day. Today was sunny with little wind but I missed it since I worked all day.

I guess one of my brothers had a huge falling out with my dad the other day. He (brother) is feeling stuck and frustrated like I am. My dad can be very demanding and intimidating. My brothers are actually afraid of him.

Playtime for the ferrets and then bedtime for me! Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
