Silly rule in my opinion - should phase them out if that's the case. This one will only do 1 perm per day - didn't say anything about 3 people. I remember stylists cutting hair while perms were in rollers, etc in the "old" days. BTW, I called them after my perm to see how long a wait it would be for a cut, and neither of them had anyone - sounds to me like a policy that is losing them money - so I'd not do perms at all.

My griping is done lol

The gal that I go to in Campbellsville, KY was working at GC when I first started going to her, there. They don't color, so she did my highlights at her apt. Now, she works at her uncle's salon and did my highlights before I transferred, with Amazon, up to Jeffersonville, IN. Think she was real reasonable...like $25. I really like her and was so glad I had her cell number in my phone, so I could find her, again. I will probably need to find someone to highlight my hair, while in Napa. Hope I can find someone reasonable. Maybe a GC stylist ;)

Barbie...Wanted to have a pot luck at Jan's when Ken was here, but he was "busy". Ken so wanted to get the tour! This pot luck is at my friends', Sonny and Rene's. I started these pot lucks, back in the 90's, and Sonny kept them going. Not the same, but I'll go, mostly to see him and Rene. I have some ripe bananas, so think I'll make banana pudding, with Nilla Wafers and meringue. Haven't made it in awhile. I love it, but can only make it if someone can help me eat it.

Got my laundry done, today. Had three loads. Haven't don't laundry since I was in Lake Havasu. Luckily, I didn't run out of clean underwear :o I cut my sari, in preparation of making bedroom curtains out of it. I have to go in to Yucca Valley, tomorrow, so will pick up some fabric glue and curtain clips. The fabric has sequins and jewels, so looks too hard to sew. I chose my paint color to coordinate with this fabric and I think it will look so pretty! I already painted and got a new bed, after ripping out the window coverings and RV bed. Have one roller blind up and having the other cut tomorrow. Thought I had bought another one of the easy fit ones, but it wasn't. I still have my receipt from Home Depot, so they will cut it for me. Haven't decided what to put in for flooring, so bought some foam carpet cleaner, for now.

Still have quite a few things on my to do list, but in a strange mood. Just kicking back, listening to 60's folk music on Pandora, and having a beer.

Camping out in the paring lot of the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus for the dog shows. Solar did what it needed to do and I didn't have to worry about finding the electric and how far I needed to run the electric cord. The Audrey and Daisy helped others get their points yesterday but today is another day and another judge's opinion. We were all owner handlers yesterday and we all support each others so it is nice to take turns and share. We don't show until 12:30 so plenty of time to read e-mails, watch morning news and get sufficient coffee and still have time to get the girls beeutiful! :D

Tina, that sounds a lot like what I used to do with other rabbit people when I used to show, help others get points for GCs and take turns about it.

It was so hot in Myrtle, yesterday  May have to take the boys and go in my GF's house, later. I know she just got her swamp cooler serviced, but she is out of town and I couldn't figure out where her control is. I left her a message, so hoping she gets it, as I don't have her DD's number. Also, told her about the rat I found in a bowl of water in her little porch area that she loves so much. Stuff like that doesn't usually bother me, but it kinda gave me the creeps :o Dumped him over the back fence and refilled the bowl with water, just in case there are any other dumb ones around, so they can drown themselves  If she has some bird seed around, I could float some on top of a bucket of water, like the farmers do, and get some, for sure. Please don't bash me if you're ASPCA or a rat lover

Went to the monthly pot luck, last night. I started them in 1993 and they're still going. Not fun, like they used to be, when we played games. Just visited and ate, but enjoyed visiting with one gal, I kind of know, who is a local nature photographer. She may come over and look at my camera, today, that I want to sell. She also recently bought a new 5th wheel, so we talked about RVing. I made old fashioned banana pudding, with meringue and Nilla Wafers, since I had some ripe bananas. It was a hit! I love it, but it's much better to make it for a group, so I don't have to eat it all ;) My friend, who hosts the pot lucks, gave me some tow dolly advice. He used to own the U-Haul dealership, here. He said I should rent one, for now, and decide what to do, over the summer. I could either buy one or will look into some type of quick disconnect for the drive shaft, or something, for Penny. He said it would be cheaper than a tow dolly.

Better get busy. I bought some sheets, yesterday, for my new full-size bed, so have them in the washer. Need to brush and groom Rags and take Penny to the car wash. Bought some fabric glue, yesterday, so may work on my curtains that I'm making from my sari that I wore at my DS's wedding. Some of the hemming can't be done with my machine, as there are jewels and sequins. I think the glue will work fine for what I'm doing.

Evenin' ladies. Campfire feels good. Damp & rainy now after 2 nice days.

Glad to hear Molly is back to herself after surgery Sue. You have my sympathies trying to keep a pup quiet. BJ sorry to hear you may have had to cancel your yoga class because of the carpet cleaner, but some things bother me more as I get older so I understand. Alice, I'm right there with you in dreaming for retirement. Also hoping that Audrey & Daisy did well on the second day of the show Tina.

Well, the first camping trip is over. The passenger side of the Blue Ox is still a problem for me (driver side is no problem) and unhitching is still causing headaches. If anyone is interested, I did a post.

Good evening all,
No campfire for me to rainy. We were supposed to go out in" Windy" this weekend but my partner was sick and we had rain in the forcast. Also for the past two weeks I have been involved in working with the Animal Rescue Corps on rescue operations. It is near and dear to my heart so I have not been here on the boards much to see what is going on with everyone . In skimming it looks as everyone is doing fine and hitting the open road in their rvs.

I've been following you on your animal rescues and am in awe of what you've done the last couple weeks. Good for you. I miss very little of my stationary life, but doing some of that type of work is what I miss the most. You did GOOD !!!

What is the Animal Rescue Corp? I would like to know more about that and what you are doing! Sounds like something I would be interested in someday.

The best way to see what it is all about is to Google them or go to their Facebook page. Animal Rescue Corps.

Thanks, Barbie! I haven't used Photobucket for a long time, so had to find out my password and upload some photos to it. I think this photo was from a dinner, with some Amazon friends, in IN.

I gave Penny a much needed bath, this morning. My GF, Dottie, came home, today, from her DD's. They had 3 of Dottie's great grandkids with them. Cute kids. We all went to lunch at the ice cream shop, just up the road. Her DD brought me some eggs, from her chickens :D

This afternoon, I tried to work on my bedroom curtains. I thought fabric glue would work for hemming, since there are a lot of embellishments on the fabric (because it was a sari). It wouldn't hold, so I got out my barely used sewing machine. Loaded up a bobbin and threaded the machine. Almost immediately, it got jammed up with a tiny bead  I'm thinking of just leaving the edges raw. They''re on the ends, anyway, and I'm using those rings with the clips to hang them with. I want to wash Myrtle in the morning, so hope I can finish hanging my curtains, after. If not, maybe on the road. I still need another roller blind. Had to return one to K-mart, as it was bent on the end. Got sidetracked and forgot to get another, there  Bought one at Home Depot. Had them take $15 off because it was open and a bit soiled. Didn't notice that it wasn't one of the easy trim ones and they will trim for me, so had to go back. The guy did a crummy job and it looked like heck, so got my money back....GEESH!!! This has been quite an ordeal, just to cover the windows! Everyone likes the paint job and color. I'm liking the new bed. I bought spray paint to add some color to the closet and drawer handles, but haven't got to that, yet.

Rick is already in Napa, where we'll be working, and says it's nice. Hoping he sends me some pics. I'm leaving here on Wed. A friend is going to guide me out of this tight spot and help me with Penny and the tow dolly. Looking forward to my next adventure.

Am in SLC now for a week then up to Idaho
long day if it had been up to me it would have ended a couple hundred miles ago
not doing maintenance is catching up on me...stopped for fuel and when I came back
from getting my change Bert (the guy that was driving for me) told me that the
guys heard a popping sound which indicated something frankly didn't hear the term and he
was pulling it over so they could check it out yep could see wear and tear (if metal tears) needed greased
they put on a new axial kit and told me that I can stop anytime and they will lube it part of the job (they also lubed the area)
not cheap but think it was cheaper than if I'd continued on my way and it broke and had to have towing or road side fix
that saying if it's not one thing it's another is so true
