Wednesday blizzard?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday blizzard?

Postby carolb » Wed Apr 08, 2015 6:14 am

Gmorning all:)

Yes, a blizzard in PA! LOL, that OSharon is a hoot. Last fall when I was on my way here, she joked about a possible blizzard, and I replied "the only blizzard I'd like is an oreo one from DQ." Well, guess what she had for me when I arrived yesterday?!
So great to be here again, despite rain :)

Sarah, thx for posting pix on gtg. What a great time we had!....Oh, in mentioning southern hospitality, i need to include those Texans!

Typing on my phone, so making this short. Y'all have a great day and safe.travels always:)

    Carolb, you had me fooled there for a minute, thinking it was a real blizzard as a storm did go by here over the weekend  Love those DQ Blizzards and Oreo is my favorite too.

After a nice afternoon here yesterday, it's a damp, wet and chilly morning here, so going to be an inside day. Have a cupboard door to repair and some other thins to get into. Enjoyed working outside yesterday for the first time this sprng and not having to do snow for a change  Like O'Sharon, cleaned up yard from Molly's winter potty calls and then got into a stump removal session. Got one pulled out with help from axe and my truck and chopped up a smaller one after that. Couple more I would like to work on. Only about 8 inches in diameter, so not biggies. Gotta admit, this old girl can still wield a mean axe

Maybe, just maybe I might uncover my trailer this weekend or next week as weather looks like spring is here to stay. It's keeping the trailer nice and clean though, but do have some black streaks I would like to take off. no dewinterizing till May. Was talking with a member on FB last night and we got to talking about RV goofs, gaffs etc. I remembered a thread I posted a few years back about that. Did some searching, found it and brought it back up into General Talk last night. If you want some laughs, go read it. RV Experiences Updated. Most of those who posted are no longer with us, but I'm sure many of you who have joined since have some laughs you can add to it. I"m sure the new folks will enjoy it.

Okay, enough jabbering here. Things to do. Hope you all have a nice day. Safe travels to those on the road.

Oh, I'm so glad it's a DQ blizzard! I was growling at the screen, "No! Nononono! No blizzard! I forbid it!"

I think I'll stop around Home Depot for some supplies this afternoon. That's always fun! It's not warm enough outside to paint, but I have a couple of pieces of furniture that need to be stripped.

Beth, I was the one you were PMing with - and I think you passed me before I was even out of bed! The wind made yesterday's drive less than enjoyable! Today I'm heading for the Sedona area.

Ha ha ha about the blizzard - glad it wasn't the snowy kind! Everyone have a good day, working on projects, planning trips, and on the road.

Good Morning,

Carolb, you had me worried - glad it was DQ kind of blizzard!! I don't want you missing the wedding! :)

Sandi picked me up yesterday, we went for lunch and then to her beautiful home for a good visit!! A fun day for sure!

My daughter and grandson should be landing in Oakland about now!! She and I talked yesterday and it is going to be a busy, adventurous 4 days! :)

I wasn't planning on more rain last night so will be drying off the SS this morning! Won't be the first time and probably not the last, but saves me from having to wash it. :D

Everyone enjoy your day and safe travels for those on the road!

Just finished cleaning out my refrigerator and putting stuff back in its "proper" place after my company at Disney. Really causes a major rearrangement when you have four people staying with you overnight! I loved seeing my niece and her family, but I am worn out from Disney and putting things back in order.

The good news is I lost 4 pounds over the past week, but I think a lot of it was due to being sick and just pushing on. So now I am down in Venice, FL, where my elderly aunt and uncle are living. I rented a car because my uncle is not very good at driving, even though they drove down from Georgia last week. I did not get home last night from dinner at their place until 10:30 pm and then in trying to lock the rental car, hit the emergency alarm instead. Yikes, it was loud. Finally got it shut off, but I am sure I was not popular with my neighbors.

So, going back for another dinner, but will stop on my way to do some shopping for grandkids birthdays. Got three in a row so want to get stuff shipped out soon.

Still hot and muggy here, but we had some rain last night and there are lots of clouds today, which at least means the sun is not making it hotter.

Early afternoon here... Noah warning radio has gone off 3 times since 4 am... glad to have the warning... the early ones were warning of a storm coming over with hail... this last one was only a watch until 6pm...
Oh Carolb what a spoof that was... no no no please no blizzard... lol... I have not had one in years... my husband loved them do not remember what kind though... thanks to O'Sharon for the treat!
Sue that winter poop duty is not fun! I am pretty much cleaned up with that job... have to keep ahead as Shadow thinks the mess is to eat...
Time to let Shadow out before Kelsie comes to help...
have a good day...

Judi, so sorry. I said Sandi, didn't I? Slappin' myself!

Unlike yesterday when the winds were mainly on my tail, today they were crosswinds. I got another earlly start, with Peaches arguing lol. But the winds started earlier, too. I made it to my first possible destination and the winds have increased. I'm at a beautiful a state park and Peaches and I walked a bit, however it's not fun in the winds. Tomorrow winds start earlier, so I'll sleep in. If the weather people are right, they will lessen mid-morning and I'll head out then.

And I'm so glad that blizzard was from DQ. One of my workamping years in PA, the cg officially opened on April 1st and I awoke to everything covered in snow. Luckily it all melted later in the day. It sure was pretty that morning though.

Sounds like everyone is on the move, or about to be. Glad the blizzard is the ice cream kind!

Still been having trouble with the dizziness so went in this morning for physical therapy (referred to by the Urgent Care doctor) to try to get it resolved. Apparently, it isn't bad enough now for the head-tipping exercises to work on it, so the PT guy gave me some exercises to do with my eyes, moving back and forth, up and down, etc. Need to go back in a week to see if it has improved by then. I sure hate this feeling tho. Just a constant "back and forth" rocking feeling like being on a boat. The motion sickness pills I was taking were making me so sleepy and sick, so I stopped taking those. Will just have to ride out the "waves"!

Have tomorrow off so will try to finally get caught up on things around here that I haven't had time to do or felt good enough to get done. Have been avoiding my dad because he always finds a way to screw up my days off. If he needs something, he can call my brothers. His renter is also in town, so he can help him too. I need a break!!!

Have a good night! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
