Easter Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Easter Sunday

Postby bluepinecones » Sun Apr 05, 2015 6:33 am

Good morning
I'm up way too early but it gave me a chance to see the beautiful full moon this morning.
Carolb & Wendy arrived around noon yesterday. After visiting and running all the dogs a bit, we meet another friend for lunch, went by RV dealer and looked at rig I'm considering, explored the Flying Monkey (an art colony in old mill), did a little bit of a driving tour and came back to house for wine and watched the sunset. Sorry, I forgot the camera so no photos. Will try to do better today.
Wendy and Pepper are still asleep but assume Carolb is up tho she didn't answer phone when I called to let her know coffee was on.
Not sure what we will do today but it will be fun.
Have a great Easter Day.

Good morning & Happy Easter Sarah & all that follow ~~~

Had a fun day yesterday meeting Tina, Remi, Audrey & Daisy at the DeKalb dog show and then out for some dinner. Leaving me alone with such cute puppers could be dangerous tho Tina :D

Not much going on around here today. Invited to a cousin's for dinner, but may depend on how Mom is feeling. She's still not back to her normal self after hospital stay a few weeks ago.

Love that Liz is back on the road & posting to her blog again. Time to add to the list of my go-to-sees when it's time to flee Illinois. Hope you're feeling better JudyJB, but being with family is always a picker upper.

Have a good day everyone an if you're on the road stay safe.

Good morning and Happy Easter
Dinner was so good at Portillo's yesterday and a good visit with Beth.
Will just reflect on the meaning of Easter and count some blessings today.
Maybe go to Walmart and do a little price checking and I might even spend some money.
Other than that, today will just be routine pick up around the house and yard and get
ready for Monday.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Happy Easter everyone! Today I plan to walk around Santa Fe and do the tourist thing. I'm at Trailer Ranch RV Resort, and there is a fountain outside my door, and one of those glider swings. Perfect!

Have a great day!

Happy Easter!

This is the day I like to stand in a garden and read out bits of The Dream of the Rood. It's a very Anglo-Saxon warrior society expression of the Passion, and gorgeous poetry!

The university garden is a good place to do that -- people think 'eccentric scholar' instead of 'crazy old woman'! It's not raining today. So, that's where I'll be this afternoon. :D

Happy Easter everyoone,
Sarah sounds like you all are having a good time- Isn't this famly of sista's wonderful! :D
Ava, I've found the only way I can keep from spending money is to not go into a store.
Cheryl, what fun being with Tina & the pups - must be fun seeing them in action.
And Judi, sounds like you've got a peaceful setting for a beautiful day - enjoy!
JudyB, hope you enjoy your family's visit - glad you got the TV swivel thing fixed.

Sadie & I took a sunrise walk - it was a little cool, but I prefer it that way. Have my granddaugher, her fiance & my son & daughter-in-law coming over for brunch - I always like to send the grand home loaded down with left-overs - I think she'll hit the jackpot today.

Texted with my baby girl, Gaby, at 4 this morning as she boarded her plane in Paris. This young man has shown her a magical time while she was there. Her very words were "This trip was more than I could have imagined." The kid is still head-over-heels in love. Even a rainy day in Paris got a post declaring it's beauty. :D Quite a big change from her current life in the 'always perfect weather' of San Diego. Thankfully her sister & nieces will spend a little time with her at her stopover in the Dallas airport. Looking forward to meeting this fellow when I go out to meet my baby grand in July. (He comes to Redondo beach to study English during the summer ) Little does he know how closely he'll be scrutinzed by the family. ;)

Well, need to vacuum & warm up the food.
Enjoy this beautiful day!

Happy Easter.

Peaches and I will be on the road to Winslow today.

Was great to catch up with Ava yesterday. And I'm already missing Italian beef again!

Good evening and happy Easter!

This morning I drove to my dads to pick him up for church. Got there early so sat down and chatted with him a bit. He then excitedly showed me a letter with a check. He said he has won $125,000 and all he has to do is cash the $5000 check (for admin fees) and they will deliver his money! I just grabbed the check and ripped it up in little pieces. I think he was about to hit me! He went ballistic! Screamed at me and grabbed the pieces of the check and almost cried! I told him that this is yet another scam (we have been over this a million times already) and the check is a fraud and that he could get into big trouble with the bank if he tries to cash it, etc, etc. He was just furious! I felt kind of bad but knew it was for his own good.
Luckily, he calmed down and we left for church. He was OK with me the rest of the day. Funny tho, when we got to my brother's house, he gave my dad a copy of something he printed from the internet all about fraudulent checks from scammers. It was perfect timing. I told both of my brothers about what I did and they were both very supportive of me, so that was good.

Had a nice lunch, dropped my dad back at home, came home and took a nap. Need to go back and pick him up first thing in the morning for a doctor appointment before I go to work at 1pm. He is asking about when my next day off is this week. I really need to have some "me" time to get things done around here. Between being sick, working alot, and running all over for my dad, I haven't had two minutes to spare to get caught up on my personal stuff. He wants all my free time. I will just have to tell him I don't have any days off because of the holiday or something. I start getting very resentful towards him when I get so tired and behind on things. His renter is in town this week from California, so he can take him on errands.

Anyways, sorry, I just needed to vent! Time to let out the ferrets and get an attitude adjustment!

Sounds like you all had a nice, enjoyable day today! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
